  • Google Collections sources don't compile

    - by Carl Rosenberger
    I just downloaded the Google Collections sources and imported them into a new Eclipse project with JDK 1.6. They don't compile for a couple of reasons: javax.annotation.Nullable can not be found javax.annotation.ParametersAreNonnullByDefault can not be found Cannot reduce the visibility of the inherited method #createCollection() from AbstractMultimap + 11 similar ones Name clash: The method forcePut(K, V) of type AbstractBiMap has the same erasure as forcePut(Object, Object) of type BiMap but does not override it + 2 similar ones What am I missing? I also wonder if unit tests for these collections are available to the public.

  • Is it possible to overwrite a static method in parent class?

    - by MartinDenny2069
    I have a static method defined in a base class, I want to overwrite this method in its child class, is it possible? I tried this but it did not work as I expected. When I created an instance of class B and invoke its callMe() method, the static foo() method in class A is invoked. public abstract class A { public static void foo() { System.out.println("I am base class"); } public void callMe() { foo(); } } Public class B { public static void foo() { System.out.println("I am child class"); } }

  • Are there any simple languages implemented using ANTLR or similar?

    - by etheros
    I'm trying to build a simple interpreted language for learning purposes. I've read countless theory and tutorials on ANTLR and JavaCC, but I can't figure out how to actually make it do something useful. I learn best by "taking something apart and putting it back together again", so, are there any working examples of simple languages implemented with the help of tools such as ANTLR, or similar? Something like the following might be nice: x = 1 if x == 1 print "true"

  • How To Keep Size Of JTextArea constant?

    - by Supereme
    Hi! I'm using an object of JTextArea in my application which deals with sending sms. I've used a DocumentFilter so as to allow only 160 characters to be typed in the textarea but now, I want the size of the textarea to be constant. it goes on increasing if I keep writing on the same line without pressing 'enter' key or even when I keep on pressing only 'enter' key. I tried once using 'scrollbar' too but the problem remains same. Suggest me something over this.

  • Eclipse and Cassandra

    - by H2oNinja
    I've searched various websites for instructions on how to link 'Cassandra' and 'Eclipse' and followed directions to the last detail in several sites. For some reason, while using Git Bash, I cant get through the 'ant build', via instruction in said mentioned locations across the web. In some location's its easy, just make sure you have; 1. Apache Cassandra source 2. Apache Ant 3. Git So, yeah I've downloaded all the above, tried the same directory, different directories, etc., although still unable to get past the middle step of 'ant build'. Here are a few websites I've used to muddle through setting up the Src code for both utilities, 'Eclipse' and 'Cassandra'. http://uisurumadushanka89.blogspot.com/2012/02/apache-cassandra-how-to-setup-source.html and http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/RunningCassandraInEclipse both resulting in an immediate halt at the 'ant build'. any insights are information is greatly appreciated. Thank-you, Ryan

  • Initialization of an ArrayList in one line.

    - by Macarse
    I am willing to create a list of options to test something. I was doing: ArrayList<String> places = new ArrayList<String>(); places.add("Buenos Aires"); places.add("Córdoba"); places.add("La Plata"); I refactor the code doing: ArrayList<String> places = new ArrayList<String>(Arrays.asList("Buenos Aires", "Córdoba", "La Plata")); Is there a better way of doing this? Thanks for reading!

  • JSP request parameter is returning null on a jsp include with Weblogic.

    - by doug
    Hello, I am having trouble with the jsp:include tag. I have code like the following: <jsp:include page="./Address.jsp"> <jsp:param value="30" name="tabIndex"/> <jsp:param value="true" name="showBox"/> <jsp:param value="none" name="display"/> </jsp:include> The page is included fine, but when I try to access the parameters on the Address.jsp page, they are null. I have tried accessing them the following ways (with jstl): <c:out value="${param.tabIndex}" /> <c:out value="${param['tabIndex']} /> <%= request.getParameter("tabIndex") %> <c:out value="${pageScope.param.tabIndex} /> ${param.tabIndex} etc... Here is the kicker, The above works fine in tomcat 5.5. However, when I deploy the application in Weblogic 10, it does not. Also, the code works fine in other areas of my application (on weblogic) just not a particular page. Any Ideas? Thanks!

  • Android ksoap nested soap objects in request gives error in response

    I'm trying to do the following soap request on Android using KSOAP. It contains a list of nested soap objects. However, I must be doing something wrong as I get an error back. The request I am trying to generate is as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <soap12:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap12="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"> <soap12:Body> <SetAttendanceMarks xmlns="http://hostname.net/"> <strSessionToken>string</strSessionToken> <LessonMarks> <Count>int</Count> <LessonMarks> <LessonMark> <StudentId>int</StudentId> <EventInstanceId>int</EventInstanceId> <Mark>string</Mark> </LessonMark> <LessonMark> <StudentId>int</StudentId> <EventInstanceId>int</EventInstanceId> <Mark>string</Mark> </LessonMark> </LessonMarks> </LessonMarks> </SetAttendanceMarks> </soap12:Body> </soap12:Envelope> My code is as follows: public boolean setAttendanceMarks(List<Mark> list) throws Exception { boolean result = false; String methodName = "SetAttendanceMarks"; String soapAction = getHost() + "SetAttendanceMarks"; SoapObject lessMarksN = new SoapObject(getHost(), "LessonMarks"); for (Mark m : list) { PropertyInfo smProp =new PropertyInfo(); smProp.setName("LessonMark"); smProp.setValue(m); smProp.setType(Mark.class); lessMarksN.addProperty(smProp); } PropertyInfo cProp =new PropertyInfo(); cProp.setName("Count"); cProp.setValue(list.size()); cProp.setType(Integer.class); SoapObject lessMarks = new SoapObject(getHost(), "LessonMarks"); lessMarks.addProperty(cProp); lessMarks.addSoapObject(lessMarksN); PropertyInfo sProp =new PropertyInfo(); sProp.setName("strSessionToken"); sProp.setValue(mSession); sProp.setType(String.class); SoapObject request = new SoapObject(getHost(), methodName); request.addProperty(sProp); request.addSoapObject(lessMarks); SoapSerializationEnvelope envelope = new SoapSerializationEnvelope(SoapEnvelope.VER12); envelope.dotNet = true; envelope.setOutputSoapObject(request); HttpTransportSE androidHttpTransport = new HttpTransportSE(getURL()); androidHttpTransport.debug = true; androidHttpTransport.call(soapAction, envelope); String a = androidHttpTransport.requestDump; String b = androidHttpTransport.responseDump; SoapObject resultsRequestSOAP = (SoapObject) envelope.bodyIn; SoapObject res = (SoapObject) resultsRequestSOAP.getProperty(0); String resultStr = res.getPropertyAsString("Result"); if (resultStr.contentEquals("OK")) { result = true; } return result; } The error I get is as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soap:Body> <soap:Fault> <soap:Code> <soap:Value>soap:Sender</soap:Value> </soap:Code> <soap:Reason> <soap:Text xml:lang="en">Server was unable to read request. ---&gt; There is an error in XML document (1, 383). ---&gt; The specified type was not recognized: name='LessonMarks', namespace='http://gsdregapp.net/', at &lt;LessonMarks xmlns='http://gsdregapp.net/'&gt;.</soap:Text> </soap:Reason> <soap:Detail /> </soap:Fault> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?   • Handling newline character in input between Windows and Linux

    - by Fazal
    I think this is a standard problem which may have been asked before but I could not get the exact answer so posting the issue. The issue is that our server is running on a linux box. We access the server over the browser on a window box to enter data into field which is supposed to contain multiple lines which user can enter by pressing the enter key after each line Abc Def GHI When this input field (this is a text area),is read on the linux machine, we want to split the data based on new line character. I had three question on this. Does the incoming data contain "\r\n" or "\n" If incoming data does contain "\r\n", the linux line.separator property (vm property) would not work for me as it would say "\n" and therefore may leave "\r" in the data. If "\r" is left in the data, if I open the file on a windows machine, will this mean a newline character? Finally can anyone tell me the standard way to deal with this issue?

  • GAE/J: unable to register a custom ELResolver

    - by dfa
    I need to register a custom ELResolver for a Google App Engine project. Since it must be registered before any request is received, as specified by the Javadoc: It is illegal to register an ELResolver after the application has received any request from the client. If an attempt is made to register an ELResolver after that time, an IllegalStateException is thrown. I'm using a ServletContextListener: public class RegisterCustomELResolver implements ServletContextListener { @Override public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent sce) { ServletContext context = sce.getServletContext(); JspApplicationContext jspContext = JspFactory.getDefaultFactory().getJspApplicationContext(context); jspContext.addELResolver(new MyELResolver()); } ... } The problem is that JspFactory.getDefaultFactory() returns always null. I've alreay filled a bug report. Any idea for a workaround?

  • Deploy maven generated site on Google Code svn?

    - by xamde
    Using a google code svn as a basic maven repository is easy. However, using mvn site:deploy efficiently on google code seems hard. So far, I found only these solutions: * Deploy to a local file:/// and use a PERL script to delete the old and copy the new * Use wagen-svn to deploy. This is very slow (hours!) and does not delete old files * Plus all mime-types are wrong I am looking for a solution that allows new developers in my projects to check out the current source and just use it, without requiring to install PERL or learn weird steps to perform or wait hours.

  • Is there anyway to exclude artifacts inherited from a parent POM?

    - by Miguel
    Artifacts from dependencies can be excluded by declaring an <exclusions> element inside a <dependency> But in this case it's needed to exclude an artifact inherited from a parent project. An excerpt of the POM under discussion follows: <project> <modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion> <groupId>test</groupId> <artifactId>jruby</artifactId> <version>0.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version> <parent> <artifactId>base</artifactId> <groupId>es.uniovi.innova</groupId> <version>1.0.0</version> </parent> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>com.liferay.portal</groupId> <artifactId>ALL-DEPS</artifactId> <version>1.0</version> <scope>provided</scope> <type>pom</type> </dependency> </dependencies> </project> base artifact, depends on javax.mail:mail-1.4.jar, and ALL-DEPS depends on another version of the same library. Due to the fact that mail.jar from ALL-DEPS exist on the execution environment, although not exported, collides with the mail.jar that exists on the parent, which is scoped as compile. A solution could be to rid off mail.jar from the parent POM, but most of the projects that inherit base, need it (as is a transtive dependency for log4j). So What I would like to do is to simply exclude parent's library from the child project, as it could be done if base was a dependency and not the parent pom: ... <dependency> <artifactId>base</artifactId> <groupId>es.uniovi.innova</groupId> <version>1.0.0</version> <type>pom<type> <exclusions> <exclusion> <groupId>javax.mail</groupId> <artifactId>mail</artifactId> </exclusion> </exclusions> </dependency> ...

  • Creating 3DES key from bytes

    - by AO
    I create a triple DES key from the a byte array ("skBytes") but when calling getEncoded on the triple DES key ("sk") and comparing it to the byte array, they differ! They are almost the same if you look at the console output, though. How would I create a triple DES key that is exactly as "skBytes"? byte[] skBytes = {(byte) 0x41, (byte) 0x0B, (byte) 0xF0, (byte) 0x9B, (byte) 0xBC, (byte) 0x0E, (byte) 0xC9, (byte) 0x4A, (byte) 0xB5, (byte) 0xCE, (byte) 0x0B, (byte) 0xEA, (byte) 0x05, (byte) 0xEF, (byte) 0x52, (byte) 0x31, (byte) 0xD7, (byte) 0xEC, (byte) 0x2E, (byte) 0x75, (byte) 0xC3, (byte) 0x1D, (byte) 0x3E, (byte) 0x61}; DESedeKeySpec keySpec = new DESedeKeySpec(skBytes); SecretKeyFactory keyFactory = SecretKeyFactory.getInstance("DESede"); SecretKey sk = keyFactory.generateSecret(keySpec); for(int i = 0; i < skBytes.length; i++) { System.out.println("(sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (" + sk.getEncoded()[i] +", " + skBytes[i] + ")"); } Console output: (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (64, 65) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (11, 11) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-15, -16) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-101, -101) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-68, -68) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (14, 14) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-56, -55) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (74, 74) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-75, -75) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-50, -50) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (11, 11) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-22, -22) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (4, 5) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-17, -17) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (82, 82) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (49, 49) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-42, -41) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-20, -20) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (47, 46) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (117, 117) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (-62, -61) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (28, 29) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (62, 62) (sk.getEncoded()[i], skBytes[i]) = (97, 97)

  • JDT: How to retrieve the correct IJavaElement to a corresponding RefactoringDescriptor?

    - by Chris
    I implement the IRefactoringExecutionListener interface in an Eclipse plug-in to get notified when the user refactors his code, so I can update a visual editor displaying corresponding UML Boxes accordingly. Now I have a RefactoringDescriptor and cannot manage to map it's information (project name as String, new name as String and resource path as IPath) to my model. My model is basically a Hashmap in which fully qualified names (String) of types are mapped instances of IJavaElement, or more precisely: IType. How can I "convert" between the two representations so I can update my model? Regards, Chris

  • Creating keystore for jarsigner programmatically

    - by skayred

Here is my code: System.out.println("Keystore generation..."); Security.addProvider(new BouncyCastleProvider()); String domainName = "example.org"; KeyPairGenerator keyGen = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA"); SecureRandom random = SecureRandom.getInstance("SHA1PRNG", "SUN"); keyGen.initialize(1024, random); KeyPair pair = keyGen.generateKeyPair(); X509V3CertificateGenerator v3CertGen = new X509V3CertificateGenerator(); int serial = new SecureRandom().nextInt(); v3CertGen.setSerialNumber(BigInteger.valueOf(serial < 0 ? -1 * serial : serial)); v3CertGen.setIssuerDN(new X509Principal("CN=" + domainName + ", OU=None, O=None L=None, C=None")); v3CertGen.setNotBefore(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis() - 1000L * 60 * 60 * 24 * 30)); v3CertGen.setNotAfter(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis() + (1000L * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365*10))); v3CertGen.setSubjectDN(new X509Principal("CN=" + domainName + ", OU=None, O=None L=None, C=None")); v3CertGen.setPublicKey(pair.getPublic()); v3CertGen.setSignatureAlgorithm("MD5WithRSAEncryption"); X509Certificate PKCertificate = v3CertGen.generateX509Certificate(pair.getPrivate()); FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("/Users/dmitrysavchenko/testCert.cert"); fos.write(PKCertificate.getEncoded()); fos.close(); KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance(KeyStore.getDefaultType()); char[] password = "123".toCharArray(); ks.load(null, password); ks.setCertificateEntry("hive", PKCertificate); fos = new FileOutputStream("/Users/dmitrysavchenko/hive-keystore.pkcs12"); ks.store(fos, password); fos.close(); It works, but when I'm trying to sign my JAR with this keystore, I get the following error: jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: hive. hive must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain. I've discovered that there must be a private key, but I don't know how to add it to certificate. Can you help me?

  • jdbc query - date ranges as parameters

    - by pstanton
    Hi all, I'd like to write a single JDBC statement that can handle the equivalent of any number of NOT BETWEEN date1 AND date2 where clauses. By single query, i mean that the same SQL string will be used to create the JDBC statements and then have different parameters supplied. This is so that the underlying frameworks can efficiently cache the query (i've been stung by that before). Essentially, I'd like to find a query that is the equivalent of SELECT * FROM table WHERE mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? and at the same time could be used with fewer parameters: SELECT * FROM table WHERE mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? or more parameters SELECT * FROM table WHERE mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? AND mydate NOT BETWEEN ? AND ? I will consider using a temporary table if that will be simpler and more efficient. thanks for the help!

  • How to get equivalent of ResultSetMetaData without ResultSet

    - by javanix
    Hey Guys - I need to resolve a bunch of column names to column indexes (so as to use some of the nice ResultSetMetaData methods). However, the only way that I know how to get a ResultSetMetaData object is by calling getMetaData() on some ResultSet. The problem I have with that is that grabbing a ResultSet takes up uneccesary resources in my mind - I don't really need to query the data in the table, I just want some information about the table. Does anyone know of any way to get a RSMD object without getting a ResultSet (from a potentially huge table) first? Thanks!

    Good day! Is it possible to add a JPanel on top of a JLabel? I would like my JFrame to have a background image and in order to this, i used this code (based from past stackoverflow answers): setLocation(150,50); setSize(700,650); setVisible(true); JLabel contentPane = new JLabel(); contentPane.setIcon(new ImageIcon("pics/b1.jpg")); contentPane.setLayout( new BorderLayout()); setContentPane( contentPane ); Now my problem is, I cannot put a panel on my JFrame because of the JLabel background. Please help. Thanks.
