    Hello. I have a client apllication that run in very restricted area - it has no direct access to computer, where it is running. I don't want to invent another one System.Configuration system to configure my application. But there is no method in ConfigurationManager, that allows to load configuration from string or Stream. It seems to me that it's impossible to use a ConfigurationManager in this particular scenario, but may be (and I hope to) wrong?

  • What programming language is FogBugz written in?

    From what I've read it appears that FogBugz was originally written in VBScript. Now apparently they use their own custom compiler and language that will translate the source code to more "accessible" languages such as PHP and (I think) C#. Is there a name for this language? What does a hello world look like in it? Is there any hope of seeing this compiler released to the public?

    If I use M-x shell and run the interactive Python interpreter, Emacs on Windows does not return any IO. When I discovered M-x python-shell, I regained hope. However, instead of running the interactive Python shell, I want to run a specific Python script that features an interactive CLI. (See Python's cmd module for details). Is there a way of launching a Python script in Emacs that is interactive? (stdout, stdin, stderr)

    I feel dumb for having been a web programmer for so long and not knowing the answer to this question, I actually hope it's possible and I just didn't know about rather than what I think is the answer (which is that it's not possible). My question is whether it is possible to make a CSS class that "inherits" from another CSS class (or more than one). For example, say we had: .something { display:inline } .else { background:red } What I'd like to do is something like this: .composite { .something; .else } where the ".composite" class would both display inline and have a red background

    I've had a problem with my styles not being applied after AJAX calls. My styles were not in the < HEAD section of the page, and they were only recognized by IE on initial Page_Load.     When do I execute query COPY TO ... CSV, I create CSV file. BUt when open it column with names in excel that should be with national characters are not as it should be. So my question is, If it is possible within a sql query to change this encoding to utf8? Or something else? Because I want that new created CSV file to be as final product for user on web.     Say I have an environment variable myvar myvar=\tapple\n when the following command will print out this variable perl -e 'print "$ENV{myvar}"' I will literally have \tapple\n, however, I want those control chars to be evaluated and not escaped. How would I achieve it? In the real world $ENV residing in substitution, but I hope the answer will cover that.

    I already used some script to implement the shortcuts in my web page but i was wondering if could be possible to associate some combination not syncronic like Ctrl+X but more like a sequence typing 1..2..3 or any other combination to execute a script... lets assume this example: you have a long list with numbers: you could type 3..5...6, so you can go to the item 356 passing trough the item 3 then 35 then 356 more or less like when you type while selecting a select box i hope it was clear, id not easy to explain...
