  • Tomcat - Redirect to Error Page when ServletContextListener fails

    - by Vic
    When Tomcat starts it calls my ServletContextListener to obtain a database connection, which I will later use in other servlets with getServletContext(). It is called in my web.xml as: listener listener-class org.ppdc.database.DBCPoolingListener /listener-class /listener (I removed the < because they wouldn't display properly in this message. If I cannot connect to the database when Tomcat starts up I get a 404 error, because Tomcat cannot start the application. How can I redirect the user to a custom error page at this point? I tried the following in my web.xml (I have the < brackets in the original): (error-page) (error-code404/error-code) (location/file_not_found.html/location) (/error-page) Any ideas on how to redirect a user to one of my error pages when Tomcat tries to start the application? Thanks Vic

  • addNotify not works allright

    - by joseph
    Hello. I call addNotify() method in class that I posted here. The problem is, that when I call addNotify() as it is in the code, setKeys(objs) do nothing. Nothing appears in my explorer of running app. But when I call addNotify()without loop(for int....), and add only one item to ArrayList, it shows that one item correctly. Does anybody knows where can be problem? See the cede class ProjectsNode extends Children.Keys{ private ArrayList objs = new ArrayList(); public ProjectsNode() { } @Override protected Node[] createNodes(Object o) { MainProject obj = (MainProject) o; AbstractNode result = new AbstractNode (new DiagramsNode(), Lookups.singleton(obj)); result.setDisplayName (obj.getName()); return new Node[] { result }; } @Override protected void addNotify() { //this loop causes nothing appears in my explorer. //but when I replace this loop by single line "objs.add(new MainProject("project1000"));", it shows that one item in explorer for (int i=0;i==10;i++){ objs.add(new MainProject("project1000")); } setKeys (objs); } }

  • Invert bitmap colors

    - by Alex Orlov
    I have the following problem. I have a charting program, and it's design is black, but the charts (that I get from the server as images) are light (it actually uses only 5 colors: red, green, white, black and gray). To fit with the design inversion does a good job, the only problem is that red and green are inverted also (green - pink, red - green). Is there a way to invert everything except those 2 colors, or a way to repaint those colors after inversion? And how costly are those operations (since I get the chart updates pretty often)? Thanks in advance :) UPDATE I tried replacing colors with setPixel method in a loop for(int x = 0 ;x < chart.getWidth();x++) { for(int y = 0;y < chart.getHeight();y++) { final int replacement = getColorReplacement(chart.getPixel(x, y)); if(replacement != 0) { chart.setPixel(x, y, replacement); } } } Unfortunetely, the method takes too long (~650ms), is there a faster way to do it, and will setPixels() method work faster?

  • Interface Design Problem: Storing Result of Transactions

    - by jboyd
    Requirements: multiple sources of input (social media content) into a system multiple destinations of output (social media api's) sources and destinations WILL be added some pseudo: IContentProvider contentProvider = context.getBean("contentProvider"); List<Content> toPost = contentProvider.getContent(); for (Content c : toPost) { SocialMediaPresence smPresence = socialMediaService.getSMPresenceBySomeId(c.getDestId()); smPresence.hasTwitter(); smPresence.hasFacebook(); //just to show what this is smPresence.postContent(c); //post content could fail for some SM platforms, but shoulnd't be lost forever } So now I run out of steam, I need to know what content has been successfully posted, and if it hasn't gone too all platforms, or if another platform were added in the future that content needs to go out for it as well (therefore my content provider will need to not only know if content has gone out, but for what platforms). I'm not looking for code, although sample/pseudo is fine... I'm looking for an approach to this problem that I can implement

  • Why do my Sax Parser produce no results after using InputStream Read?

    - by Andy Barlow
    Hello, I have this piece of code which I'm hoping will be able to tell me how much data I have downloaded (and soon put it in a progress bar), and then parse the results through my Sax Parser. If I comment out basically everything above the //xr.parse(new InputSource(request.getInputStream())); line and swap the xr.parse's over, it works fine. But at the moment, my Sax parser tells me I have nothing. Is it something to do with is.read (buffer) section? Also, just as a note, request is a HttpURLConnection with various signatures. /*Input stream to read from our connection*/ InputStream is = request.getInputStream(); /*we make a 2 Kb buffer to accelerate the download, instead of reading the file a byte at once*/ byte [ ] buffer = new byte [ 2048 ] ; /*How many bytes do we have already downloaded*/ int totBytes,bytes,sumBytes = 0; totBytes = request.getContentLength () ; while ( true ) { /*How many bytes we got*/ bytes = is.read (buffer); /*If no more byte, we're done with the download*/ if ( bytes <= 0 ) break; sumBytes+= bytes; Log.v("XML", sumBytes + " of " + totBytes + " " + ( ( float ) sumBytes/ ( float ) totBytes ) *100 + "% done" ); } /* Parse the xml-data from our URL. */ // OLD, and works if comment all the above //xr.parse(new InputSource(request.getInputStream())); xr.parse(new InputSource(is)) /* Parsing has finished. */; Can anyone help me at all?? Kind regards, Andy

  • jsf flash.keep and redirects does not seem to work

    - by user384706
    Hi, I am trying to use JSF 2.0 flash via redirects. I have a class named UserBean (ManagedScoped and RequestScoped). It has a method called getValuesFromFlash which essentially gets the values from the flash and sets the coresponding properties of the UserBean public void getValuesFromFlash() { Flash flash = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getFlash(); firstName= (String) flash.get("firstName"); lastName = (String) flash.get("lastName"); } In the entry page the <h:inputText> are bound to the flash. Snippet follows: Entry.xhtml <h:form> <table> <tr> <td>First Name:</td> <td> <h:inputText id="fname" value="#{flash.firstName}" required="true"/> <h:message for="fname" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Last Name:</td> <td> <h:inputText id="lname" value="#{flash.lastName}" required="true"/> <h:message for="lname" /> </td> </tr> </table <p><h:commandButton value="Submit" action="confirmation?faces-redirect=true" /></p> </h:form> In confirmation.xhtml these values are supposed to be displayed but they are not. Snippet follows: <table> <tr> <td>First Name:</td> <td> <h:outputText value="#{flash.keep.firstName}" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Last Name:</td> <td> <h:outputText value="#{flash.keep.lastName}"/> </td> </tr> </table> <h:form> <p><h:commandButton value="Confirm" action="finished?faces-redirect=true" /></p> </h:form> In finished.xhtml I want all these to be displayed so: <h:body> <h:form> #{userBean.getValuesFromFlash( )} <table> <tr> <td>First Name:</td> <td> <h:outputText value="#{userBean.firstName}" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Last Name:</td> <td> <h:outputText value="#{userBean.lastName}"/> </td> </tr> </table> </h:form> </h:body> Instead when I get redirected to confirmation.xhtml neither first nor last name is displayed, despite I used flash.keep Also in finished.xhtml I get org.apache.el.parser.ParseException: Encountered " "(" "( "" at line 1, column 30. Was expecting one of: "}" ... "." If I remove the parenthesis from the expression #{userBean.getValuesFromFlash( )} and make it = #{userBean.getValuesFromFlash} javax.el.ELException: /done.xhtml: Property 'getValuesFromFlash' not found on type com.UserBean But why no property??It is a method! Why is the method not visible? What I am doing wrong here please? I am using JSF2.0 (MyFaces), Eclipse Helios and Tomcat 6 (Have also tried in Tomcat 7 but no luck). Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • how to continuously send data without blocking?

    - by Donal Rafferty
    I am trying to send rtp audio data from my Android application. I currently can send 1 RTP packet with the code below and I also have another class that extends Thread that listens to and receives RTP packets. My question is how do I continuously send my updated buffer through the packet payload without blocking the receiving thread? public void run() { isRecording = true; android.os.Process.setThreadPriority (android.os.Process.THREAD_PRIORITY_URGENT_AUDIO); int buffersize = AudioRecord.getMinBufferSize(8000, AudioFormat.CHANNEL_CONFIGURATION_MONO, AudioFormat.ENCODING_PCM_16BIT); Log.d("BUFFERSIZE","Buffer size = " + buffersize); arec = new AudioRecord(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC, 8000, AudioFormat.CHANNEL_CONFIGURATION_MONO, AudioFormat.ENCODING_PCM_16BIT, buffersize); short[] readBuffer = new short[80]; byte[] buffer = new byte[160]; arec.startRecording(); while(arec.getRecordingState() == AudioRecord.RECORDSTATE_RECORDING){ int frames = arec.read(readBuffer, 0, 80); @SuppressWarnings("unused") int lenghtInBytes = codec.encode(readBuffer, 0, buffer, frames); RtpPacket rtpPacket = new RtpPacket(); rtpPacket.setV(2); rtpPacket.setX(0); rtpPacket.setM(0); rtpPacket.setPT(0); rtpPacket.setSSRC(123342345); rtpPacket.setPayload(buffer, 160); try { rtpSession2.sendRtpPacket(rtpPacket); } catch (UnknownHostException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } catch (RtpException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } } } So when I send on one device and receive on another I get decent audio, but when I send and receive on both I get broken sound like its taking turns to send and receive audio. I have a feeling it could be to do with the while loop? it could be looping around in there and not letting anything else run?

  • Cursor while loop returning every value but the last

    - by LordSnoutimus
    Hello, I am using a while loop to iterate through a cursor and then outputing the longitude and latitude values of every point within the database. For some reason it is not returning the last (or first depending on if I use Cursor.MoveToLast) set of longitude and latitude values in the cursor. Here is my code: public void loadTrack() { SQLiteDatabase db1 = waypoints.getWritableDatabase(); Cursor trackCursor = db1.query(TABLE_NAME, FROM, "trackidfk=1", null, null, null,ORDER_BY); trackCursor.moveToFirst(); while (trackCursor.moveToNext()) { Double lat = trackCursor.getDouble(2); Double lon = trackCursor.getDouble(1); //overlay.addGeoPoint( new GeoPoint( (int)(lat*1E6), (int)(lon*1E6))); System.out.println(lon); System.out.println(lat); } } From this I am getting: 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 3.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 5.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 4.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 5.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 5.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 5.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 4.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 4.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 3.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 3.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 2.0 04-02 15:39:07.416: INFO/System.out(10551): 2.0 04-02 15:39:07.493: INFO/System.out(10551): 1.0 04-02 15:39:07.493: INFO/System.out(10551): 1.0 7 Sets of values, where I should be getting 8 sets.   • Converting raw bytes into audio sound

    - by Afro Genius
    In my application I inherit a javastreamingaudio class from the freeTTS package then bypass the write method which sends an array of bytes to the SourceDataLine for audio processing. Instead of writing to the data line, I write this and subsequent byte arrays into a buffer which I then bring into my class and try to process into sound. My application processes sound as arrays of floats so I convert to float and try to process but always get static sound back. I am sure this is the way to go but am missing something along the way. I know that sound is processed as frames and each frame is a group of bytes so in my application I have to process the bytes into frames somehow. Am I looking at this the right way? Thanx in advance for any help.

  • How did I center a jpanel in a jpanel with netbeans?

    - by Jim Nordlander
    With Netbeans I've succeded center a jpanel with fixed size, within an other jpanel. Now I can't repeat it - only copy it. How did I do? (or should I do to center x and y a jpanel with fixed size in another jpanel). The result differs in code: Working - search for .addContainerGap( and see next not working: javax.swing.GroupLayout center3Layout = new javax.swing.GroupLayout(center3); center3.setLayout(center3Layout); center3Layout.setHorizontalGroup( center3Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGap(0, 1064, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addGroup(center3Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(center3Layout.createSequentialGroup() .addContainerGap(30, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addComponent(mainPanel3, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addContainerGap(30, Short.MAX_VALUE))) ); center3Layout.setVerticalGroup( center3Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGap(0, 650, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addGroup(center3Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(center3Layout.createSequentialGroup() .addContainerGap(23, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addComponent(mainPanel3, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addContainerGap(23, Short.MAX_VALUE))) ); Not working - search for .addGap compared with above working. javax.swing.GroupLayout center2Layout = new javax.swing.GroupLayout(center2); center2.setLayout(center2Layout); center2Layout.setHorizontalGroup( center2Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGap(0, 1073, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addGroup(center2Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(center2Layout.createSequentialGroup() .addGap(0, 34, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addComponent(mainPanel2, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addGap(0, 35, Short.MAX_VALUE))) ); center2Layout.setVerticalGroup( center2Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGap(0, 654, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addGroup(center2Layout.createParallelGroup(javax.swing.GroupLayout.Alignment.LEADING) .addGroup(center2Layout.createSequentialGroup() .addGap(0, 25, Short.MAX_VALUE) .addComponent(mainPanel2, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.DEFAULT_SIZE, javax.swing.GroupLayout.PREFERRED_SIZE) .addGap(0, 25, Short.MAX_VALUE))) ); I've looked side by side in properties etc - please help! :)

  • EJB 3 Session Bean Design for Simple CRUD

    - by sdoca
    I am writing an application that's sole purpose in life is to do CRUD operations for maintaining records in database. There are relationships between some of the tables/entities. Most examples I've seen for creating session beans deals with complex business logic/operations that interact with many entities which I don't have. Since my application is so very basic, what would be the best design for the session bean(s)? I was thinking of having one session bean per entity which had CRUD the methods defined. Then I thought of combining all of those session beans into a single session bean. And then I found this blog entry which is intriguing, but I must admit I don't understand all of it (what is a ServiceFacade?). I'm leaning towards session bean/entity class, but would like to hear more experienced opinions. Thanks.

  • Amazon SQS invalid binary character in message body

    - by letronje
    I have a web app that sends messages to an Amazon SQS Queue. Amazon sqs lib throws a 'AmazonSQSException' since the message contained invalid binary character. The message is the referrer obtained from an incoming http request. This is what it looks like: http://ads.vrx.adbrite.com/adserver/display_iab_ads.php?sid=1220459&title_color=0000FF&text_color=000000&background_color=FFFFFF&border_color=CCCCCC&url_color=008000&newwin=0&zs=3330305f323530&width=300&height=250&url=http%3A%2F%2Funblockorkutproxy.com%2Fsearch.php%2FOi8vZG93%2FbmxvYWRz%2FLnppZGR1%2FLmNvbS9k%2Fb3dubG9h%2FZGZpbGUv%2FNTY5MTQ3%2FNi9NeUN1%2FdGVHaXJs%2FZnJpZW5k%2FWmFoaXJh%2FLndtdi5o%2FdG1s%2Fb0%2F^Fô}úÃ<99ë)j Looks like the characters in bold are the invalid characters. Is there an easy way to filter out characters characters that are not accepted by amazon ? Here are the characters allowed by amazon in message body. I am not sure what regex i should use to replace invalid characters by ''

  • Jad file download link for my website

    - by Jareim
    Hi sir/madam! I am putting up a small website via webs.com for me and my friends that could also be accessible via wap, i.e. mobile internet, and I want to add links to my site that downloads .jar files. I uploaded the files on my site, and links to the .jar files went fine, but I also need links for .jad files (for some mobile phones that require .jad files FIRST then .jar). I tried doing a regular link for the .jad files, but it simply displayed the content of the .jad file. It wasn't installed or downloaded. What should I do? Or am I at a wrong website? Thanks!

  • Eclipse RCP setting classpath from workspace

    - by English Learner
    I am working one Eclipse RCP project where I have got one situation that I wanted to set classpath at runtime. So initially, I can set the classpath from project\lib\sample.jar file in order to avoid the compilation error. But once the Eclipse RCP application started, and click one update button, a new sample.jar file would be generated at workspace. Now I wanted to update the classpath for newly generated sample.jar from workspace. Which is the best option for setting such a runtime classpath ?

    I can't find any thorough explanation of the ivy dependency tag's conf attribute: <dependency org="hibernate" name="hibernate" rev="3.1.3" conf="runtime, standalone -> runtime(*)"/> See that conf attribute? I can't find any explanation (that I can understand) about the right hand side of the - symbol. PLEASE keep in mind I don't know the first thing about maven so please explain this attribute with that consideration. Yes, I've already looked at this: http://ant.apache.org/ivy/history/latest-release/ivyfile/dependency.html Thanks, Dan

  • How can I Convert XML to an Object using Spring 3.0 mvc while making RESTful request

    - by brock
    Hi, I'm using the Spring 3.0 RC1 framework and I'm currently testing out Spring mvc. I wanted to use Spring mvc to handle restful requests. I have set up my controller to handle the URI request. I am passing in xml with the request. So on the controller I have a method like follows: public void request(RequestObject request) { doSomething(); } I am having a hard time converting the xml to the RequestObject. I haven't seen much documentation on this and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm guess that you would have to annotate the RequestObject using JAXB or something in order to tell Spring to convert the xml file to RequestObject but I'm not sure. Thanks for all of your help!!
