    Source Browsing in FireFox Just casually observed this a few minutes back with my Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3. When you do a view source of any  page in Internet Explorer it just renders as editable inoperative HTML. However in Firefox the hyperlinks are shown clickable and active. When you click on any hyperlink the most obvious and expected output would be that the target page would appear in one of the new tab in the parent browser. However the View Source window refreshed with the HTML source of the new page. I believe this gesture of Firefox would help us to take a journey back into Lynx Text Browsing in a way.

  • Even More Steroids for JEditorPane

    Got some help from Ralph today and now the JEditorPane is as I want it, e.g., code folds are now supported once you click in the JEditorPane, though there are still some side effects, since this is not how anyone anticipated NetBeans editor APIs being used. But, so far, the side effects (e.g., now the hyperlinks work, but they open a new JavaScript file when you click on one of them, instead of jumping within the JEditorPane itself) are not so terrible. Error checking is also done now, which wasn't there before, i.e., red underlines and error annotations in the right margin. And maybe it's my imagination, but the editor feels a lot snappier, e.g., in code completion, than before.     I tried upgrading from Maverick to Natty, but the fetching of packages failed, when I tried to do a partial upgrade. It's displaying fetching complete, but actually it fails and I get following errors: Could not download the upgrades The upgrade has aborted. Please check your Internet connection or installation media and try again. All files downloaded so far are kept. Failed to fetch http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/m/mesa/libgl1-mesa-dri_7.10.1~git20110215.cc1636b6-0ubuntu1_i386.deb 404 Not Found I can't post more hyperlinks as per restrictions.   • How to insert hyperlink into access database via sql?

    I have a fairly simple MS Access Database that contains some metadata about a bunch of documents and a hyperlink field that links to the document on our network drive. However, when I use a SQL INSERT statement to populate the hyperlink field, the value I give it only becomes the display text, not the actual link. How can I make the value a functional hyperlink? I'd think that the hyperlink data type would actually create hyperlinks. I'm using Access 2002 SP3.

    I have a spreadsheet with thousands of rows. Each row contains a hyperlink with a path. The path is not valid, however easily fixable by replacing first part of it with correct value. Example: current hyperlink: F:\Help\index.html Needed: P:\SystemHelp\index.html The problem is that standard Find/Replace does not "see" content of hyperlinks. Is the only way to write a macro or is there another way to do it?

    I'm attempting to render RTF documents using the WPF RichTextBox control. So far, the appearance of the rendered RTF documents is quite true to the originals which were authored using MS Word. The one issue I've found is that the "document anchors" which are hyperlinks to different locations within the document, do not function as hoped. While they look like links, clicking on them does nothing. Can the WPF RichTextBox support this type of link?

These seem to be enabled by default in UIWebViews containing the link address of the respective link in the title of the alert. They are also enabled in Safari.
