  • Oracle Trigger to persist value

    I have a column that I need to be able to guarantee never gets set to anything other than "N" - I thought a trigger would be the perfect solution for this, but I can't seem to figure out how to make it so that anytime the column gets set to something other than "N" I reset it back to "N" Any pointers? EDIT: I wouldn't want to do a constraint because the application that will potentially change it to Y is outside of my control and I don't want it to be getting errors when it sets it to Y, I just want to passively set it back to N without fanfare.

  • Evaluate dynamically constructed JSP at runtime

    I have a requirement where in the JSP page itself is created by the user and stored in the database. When viewing results we need to render this JSP to the client, evaluating all tags inside this JSP. I am aware that it is doable as OpenCMS and Blogger both implement this functionality. But, I just can't find the right way. Any pointers on how to do this? [Added] Note: I cannot write a temporary file on disk for the purpose :(

    Hi, I just discovered this component and started working with it. I understand that the whole concept of it is to initialize nodes on the go as they are needed but I need all of them to initialize instantly. What is the smart way to do it? The only thing I came up with is to use GetLast() after adding nodes. I believe, there is a better way, or not?

  • How to set up Mercurial with ssl/security

    I've been following the hginit.com tutorial on how to use mercurial. Everything is going fine except it uses push_ssl=False. This does not work for my situation because I want pushes (and pulls if possible) to be secure. All the tutorials I've been able to find also use push_ssl=False. Can anyone give me pointers on how to set up ssl/security for Mercurial? Thanks.

    I have the following code which I use to match fancybox possible elements: $('a.grouped_elements').each(function(){ var elem = $(this); // Convert everything to lower case to match smart if(elem.attr('href').toLowerCase().match('/gif|jpg|jpeg|png/') != null) { elem.fancybox(); } }); It works great with JPGs but it isn't matching PNGs for some reason. A client of mine has related to me an idea for an iPhone app that requires OpenGL ES 2.0 for it's inherently complex 3D structure and animations. Where do I start on this ( albeit long ) journey toward OpenGL ES competence?     I'm trying to get Cruisecontrol.NET running with Server 2008/IIS7 and when I try and navigate to the dashboard I get the following error: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. I'm a bit lost in IIS7 so it could be something pretty straightforward. They (cc.net) do some funny stuff with http handlers in the web.config which may be related to the problem: Anyone have any pointers?

Is it possible to register a user with a username/password and authenticate him/her with that username/password without that user having a Google account?   • Get HDD (and NOT Volume) Serial Number on Vista Ultimate 64 bit

    Hi all. I was once looking for getting the HDD serial number without using WMI, and I found it. The code I found and posted on StackOverFlow.com works very well on 32 bit Windows, both XP and Vista. The trouble only begins when I try to get the serail number on 64 bit OSs (Vista Ultimate 64, specifically). The code returns String.Empty, or a Space all the time. Anyone got an idea how to fix this?
