  • Background problem on UITableView

    - by f0rz
Hi ! I have come to a problem, wich I have no idea how to solve. Can anyone think outside the box and point me to right directions? I would be very thankfull ! The problem. I have a UITableView containing a first row wich is always the same (a empty row with repeating background) Next rows are bounch of dynamic data rows. I have set the yellow background on my UITableView in IBuilder, My cells (except first row) have white background with code: UIView* backgroundView = [ [ [ UIView alloc ] initWithFrame:CGRectZero ] autorelease ]; backgroundView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithRed: 0.96078431372549 green: 0.96078431372549 blue: 0.96078431372549 alpha: 1.0]; cell.backgroundView = backgroundView; for ( UIView* view in cell.contentView.subviews ) { view.backgroundColor = [ UIColor clearColor ]; } The example yellow background, I only want to be showed at the top. As u see img example below. The thing is I dont want to have yellow background under the last datarow, I want to contain same white color I have on the cells. This should be white as the cells. Not yellow. Thank u for your time. Regards

  • Fastest possible way to render 480 x 320 background as iPhone OpenGL ES textures

    - by unknownthreat
I need to display 480 x 320 background image in OpenGL ES. The thing is I experienced a bit of a slow down in iPhone when I use 512 x 512 texture size. So I am finding an optimum case for rendering iPhone resolution size background in OpenGL ES. How should I slice the background in this case to obtain the best possible performance? My main concern is speed. Should I go for 256 x 256 or other texture sizes here?

  • Create two semi-transparent images that when stacked produce the target image

    - by posfan12
Due to CSS limitations I am forced to stack to semi-transparent images on my website. I won't go into detail regarding the CSS since if I can get this question answered the problem is moot. Anyway, I would like to modify image A in the GIMP such that it will look like it did originally after being stacked on top of image B. Both image A and image B have their opacities set to 50%. Image B is a solid color throughout, whereas image A has some minor details such as a gradient. Here's what it looks like before image B is applied on top (and what it should look like in the end): [URL=http://s421.photobucket.com/albums/pp292/SharkD2161/Support/Website/?action=view&current=website_testing_target_image.png][IMG]http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp292/SharkD2161/Support/Website/th_website_testing_target_image.png[/IMG][/URL] Here's what it looks like after image B has been applied on top: [URL=http://s421.photobucket.com/albums/pp292/SharkD2161/Support/Website/?action=view&current=website_testing_undesired_result.png][IMG]http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp292/SharkD2161/Support/Website/th_website_testing_undesired_result.png[/IMG][/URL] Thanks! • Making an owner-draw button transparent against its arbitrary background in WINCE

    - by EndsOfInvention
Hi I am trying to place an owner-draw button transparently onto a background. I have no trouble doing this when the background is a solid colour but if the background is an image I cannot seem to get the correct HDC (handle to device context) to Bitblt() the area that button covers. The HDC that is passed as part of the DRAWITEMSTRUCT gives me a button-default-grey area. If I attempt to get the parent of the HWND and then the device context of that i.e pdc = GetDC(GetParent(hWnd)); then the background that gets BitBlt'd is the background of the last painted window. I hope this question makes sense. this is the code I have: pdis = (LPDRAWITEMSTRUCT)(lParam); hdc = pdis->hDC; button = pdis->CtlID - IDC_BUTOFFSET; //pdc = GetDC((hWnd)); pdc = GetDC(GetParent(hWnd)); hbm = CreateCompatibleBitmap(pdc, Buttons_[button]->bc.Size.cx, Buttons_[button]->bc.Size.cy); SelectObject(hdc, hbm); BitBlt(hdc, 0, 0, Buttons_[button]->bc.Size.cx, Buttons_[button]->bc.Size.cy, pdc, Buttons_[button]->bc.Position.x, Buttons_[button]->bc.Position.y, SRCCOPY); TIA Best regards Ends

  • Css3 Transition on background transparent not working in Chrome 5

    - by Ricardo Koch
I`m trying to create an animation using CSS3 transition. The animation is a gradient background that should change his color (rgba). I used the webkit tag for the gradient and it`s working in Chrome 5.0.375.55. Looking into w3c site I see that "background-image - only gradients" is supported for the transition. (http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-transitions/) But I can only animate the background-color property with this version of chrome. With gradient the transition does not work. Does anyone managed to create an animation with background gradients?

  • Building CSS3 Simulated Lightsource on Background

    - by Volomike
Is there a way to take a DIV that has a background image on it, then apply a CSS3 gradient on it to simulate a lightsource? The reason I ask was because I was thinking of making the BODY tag on a page use a repeating background pattern, apply the CSS3 gradient lightsource on it, and then stick a white DIV on top of that where all the page content would go. For those without CSS3, it would degrade nicely into just a white DIV on top of a repeating background.

  • want to change background of table td on hover

    - by Brad
    I have a webpage that displays a calendar, and I want to change the background-color of any td that has their day number linked, so when I hover over that day, it changes the background-color. I thought this would work: .main-calendar td { width:14%; height:100px; text-align:center; border:1px solid #000; font-size:20px; vertical-align:middle; display:block; } table.main-calendar td a:hover, table.main-calendar td a:visited { display:block; text-decoration:none; background-color:red; color:#fff; } table.main-calendar td a:link { display:block; text-decoration:none; background-color:green; color:#fff; } Any help is appreciated.

  • UITableView cell animate background

    - by psychotik
I have a UITableView with a bunch of rows. When some action occurs, I want to animate the background of a cell. I just want to make it grey and then fade it back to the default in .5 seconds. Is my only option to set the background and call [tableView beginUpdates] followed by [tableView endUpdates] and then set a timer to clear the background again, or is there some more fundamental animation technique I can use here?

  • WPF Image Button formatting

    - by Sonic Soul
If I create a button with an image inside, it gets blown up to much larger size than the image. If i try to constrain the size of image, and container button, the image gets cut off: <Button Background="Transparent" Width="18" Height="18" Margin="0,0,0,0" Padding="0,0,0,0" BorderBrush="{x:Null}"> <Image Width="16" Height="16" /> </Button> Native image size is 16x16. Here the button is 18x18 with 0 padding, yet the image still gets cut-off on right/bottom. how can i make the entire button be exactly the size of the image w/out any cut off?

  • Change background colour of individual elements on the fly

    - by John
Hi, Is there a way in CSS or JQuery where I can dynamically change the background of li tags so they get slightly lighter for each element until it gets to white. For example say I had a list of 10 li elements. The first would have a red (#ff0000) background, the next one would then be a lighter shade of red, and so on and so on until we got to the last one which would have a background of white (#FFFFFF) The list can be any length and i just want the background colour to go from one colour e.g. red to another colour e.g. white. My site uses JQuery so if I have to use that I don't mind. Thanks

  • Background process text appears in terminal vim

    - by Jezen Thomas
First time poster, long time lurker, searched, couldn’t find etc, etc. I’m running vim in tmux, in iTerm2. I’m running a server with Grunt.js, which I have running in the background, out of my way. I start my grunt server in the background like this: grunt server & Grunt also watches a bunch of files, and runs some tasks when any of the watched files have been written to. The problem is, when I am in vim and I write a file, the output from grunt starts rendering in vim! Here are some screenshots to illustrate the problem: Before writing the file: And after writing the file: What have I tried? I’ve tried running a ‘stock’ vim by starting with this: vim -u NONE …But the problem remains. This suggests to me that the problem is not with my .vimrc. Perhaps it’s an issue with iTerm2, I don’t know. Help.

  • AS3 Flex masks with black background from png bitmap

    - by airlocker
Hi all What I am trying to achieve might be trivial, however I am loading a PNG mask which does not have a transparent background, but rather a black background, with the shape defined on top in white (the actual mask which needs to be applied). Apparently Flex expects me to provide a mask with a transparent background for it to work, or am I missing something? If that's the case, could I transform the bitmapData which I am loading so that it treats black color as transparent? thanks in advance.

  • IE6 background appears-disappears on scrolling

    - by itarato
Hi, Given IE6, an UL-LI list and a background image for the UL container. <style> ul {background-image: url(images/bgr.png);} </style> ... <ul> <li>...</li> ... </ul> When I load the page, the background is randomly loaded, some parts are visible, some are not. Moreover, it changes on runtime when I'm scrolling on the page. When I scroll out the UL list and scroll back, different parts of the background will be visible, depends on the speed of scrolling. Do you have any idea? Thanks in advance.

  • Different background colors for the top and bottom of a UITableView

    - by Aaron Brethorst
If you look at your Inbox in iPhone OS 3.0's Mail app, you'll see that swiping down displays a grayish background color above the UISearchBar. Now, if you scroll down to the bottom of the table, you'll see that the background color at that end is white. I can think of a couple ways of solving this problem, but they're pretty hacky: Change the table view's background color depending on the current scrollOffset by overriding -scrollViewDidScroll: Give the UITableView a clear background color and then set its superview's backgroundColor to a gradient pattern image. Does anyone know what the "best practice" solution is for this problem? thanks.

  • How to automatically run in the background?

    - by Hun1Ahpu
I'm not sure that it's not implemented yet, I hope that it is. But I know that in .Net programmers should manually run time-consuming task in the background thread. So every time we handle some UI event and we understand that this will take some time we also understand that this will hang UI thread and our application. And then we make all this Background work things and handle callbacks or whatever. So my question is: Is there in some language/platform a mechanism that will automatically run time-consuming tasks in the background and will do all related work itself? So we just write the code for handling specific UI event and this code will be somehow detected as time-consuming and will be executed in background. And if there isn't, then why?

  • Download data in background with iOS4

    - by Sagar
As per the latest update of Kindle V2.5, it has support of "continue downloading books while the app is in the background on iOS 4 devices". How is it possible to download content in background? As per the iOS multitasking documentation, only audio, voip & location updates are possible in background. And I've also maken sure that NSURLConnection doesn't download new data work while app goes background. Then how's it possible with Kindle app? Edit: I haven't checked Kindle App in iOS4 multitasking enabled device. So if anyone let me (& community) know what exactly Kindle app does to download, that would be very much helpful.

  • IE 8 specifying background-color changes element behavior

    - by Mateo
I have an absolutely positioned div on which I am trying to trigger mouseenter and mouseleave events. In IE8/7 with the background-color of the div left unspecified (so that it defaults to transparent), the mouseenter/leave events are not firing when the cursor crosses the div's boundary, only somewhere in the middle of the div and when the cursor is over any text within the div. When I attempt to debug the problem by adding a background color to the div (e.g. background-color: green), the problem magically goes away. The div's box model is honored perfectly and mouseenter/leave fire as when expected. It's only when the div's background color is left unspecified (or even explicitly set to transparent) that it doesn't behave correctly. Any ideas? Googling for this IE bug/quirk is coming up with nothing.

  • Background positioning - CSS

    - by Kevin
    Please see attached screenshot The background is a bit off in both IE and chrome (although it was working before? hence the exact numbers??), although in ffox it looked allright.. Here is the code for what I thought was very straight forward... am I missing something? #wrapper{ width:100%; overflow:hidden; position:relative; background:url(../images/body-bg.jpg) no-repeat ; background-position: -20px top; } And an IE fix #wrapper{ background-position: -21px top; }

  • Background thread in C#

    - by Xodarap
When the user saves some data, I want to spin off a background thread to update my indexes and do some other random stuff. Even if there is an error in this indexing the user can't do anything about it, so there is no point in forcing the main thread to wait until the background thread finishes. I'm doing this from a ASP.NET process, so I think I should be able to do this (as the main thread exiting won't kill the process). When I set a breakpoint in the background thread's method though, the main thread also appears to stop. Is this just an artifact of visual studio's debugger, or is the main thread really not going to return until the background thread stops?
