• How can I access the copy buffer on the web?

  Wild question here. Is it possible to access the copy buffer on the web. What I mean is. Can I go into Photoshop. Select a piece of a photo. Copy that piece and paste it into some element. That something would be like a Java applet or Flash or Silverlight or anything. I am just wondering if it is possible and if someone could point me in a direction. Since a few google searches have only found where you can copy files and paste via a Java applet.

• iPhone: Grouping records in multiple UITableView views

  Let me first say, I know how to create sections and group records within a UITableView. What I am wanting to do is something similar to creating a photo album. So, I have all my data objects coming from core data, and, I want to be able to create a custom group, such as "My Trip to Mexico" and "First Birthday". Then, the user should be able to add objects/records into new sections/albums. So, basically the user is creating custom sections with their own custom names, and then choosing what records should go into that section/album. So, I am just wondering what is the best way to do this? I am thinking that I would just create some extra attributes for my core data model. Or, would I create a whole new "Album Section" object, and somehow use that? Point me in the right direction. :)

  When someone posts a link to a web site in Facebook, it populates the link preview box with a photo and some text from the site. If someone posts a link to my site in Facebook, it is generally just get the site's domain name and one of the images that appears on the site. No text appears. I would like to be able to control what text and images appear in the link. Is there a specification that they use? Can I provide some metadata so Facebook will display what I want?

• How to convert Big Endian and how to flip the highest bit?

  I am using a TStream to read binary data (thanks to this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2878180/how-to-use-a-tfilestream-to-read-2d-matrices-into-dynamic-array). My next problem is that the data is Big Endian. From my reading, the Swap() method is seemingly deprecated. How would I swap the types below? 16-bit two's complement binary integer 32-bit two's complement binary integer 64-bit two's complement binary integer IEEE single precision floating-point - Are IEEE affected by Big Endian? And, finally, since the data is unsigned, the creators of this dataset have stored the unsigned values as signed integers (excluding the IEEE). They instruct that one need only add an offset (2^15, 2^31, and 2^63) to recover the unsigned data. But, they note that flipping the most significant bit is the fastest way to do that. How does one efficiently flip the most significant bit of a 16, 32, or 64-bit integer? So, if the data on disk (16-bit) is "85 FB" - the desired result after reading the data and swapping and bit flipping would be 1531. Is there a way to accomplish the swapping and bit flipping with generics so it fits into the generic answer at the link above? Yes, kids, THIS is how scientific astronomical data is stored by NASA, ESO, and all professional astronomers. This FITS standard is considered by some to be one of the most successful standards ever created in its proliferation and flexibility!

• Facebook Graph API - Get like count on page/group photos

  I've been testing graph API and ran into a problem. How can I get like count from photos of a page/group? I'm administrator/creator of a group. When entering in https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/ certain photo ID from that group it brings almost all data, even comments, but not the like count. For like part it needs (according to docs) access token despite the fact that anyone can access that info. How to get access token of my page/group with required permissions and how to use it to get info I need? If possible I would like to get JSON from a single address if it is possible.

The reason I am doing this is for a VBulletin forum signature since it marquees left to right. I have tried editing the animation in Photoshop and I flipped the canvas to horizontal...   This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs. • QT4, paginated showing elements

  I am going to write an application that uses QT4 (with C++ or python it isnt important in that moment). One of functionality is "Showing all items in database". One item has a Title, author, description and photo (constant size) And there could be very many items. Let's say 400. There won't be enough space to show'em all at once time. One row will have 200px, so i need at most 4 for once time. How to paginate them? I have no idea. I can use limit and offset in SQL queries, but how to tell window: "that's 5th page"? Any solutions?

• Simple modal div in jQuery?

  I have tried almost all of the jQuery Modal plkugins I can find on the net but they are all much to bulky for what I need. I dont need all the fancy features, I want to be able to open a div and have the background of the page go transparent grey like the photo below and have my div be on top of it, that is all I need to do so I would like to write some jquery to do this instead of using a bulky plugin. Does anyone have any small code that can do this task? Is the transparent background an image or just css?

  I just started making an application for Facebook, however I ran into problem early on. The first step I want people to do is to give permission to access their profile. I have downloaded and installed the new one in my application folder and it is not working anymore. My question is (and i really have been searching for an answer for a long time) what is the code to do this with the new API?   I have a form in which there are total eight fields, name, address, age and 5 other file/photo upload fields such that at a time one upload field is visible.. Now here every time I upload a file i need to fill the "name, address and age" as well. at this point I dont want to submit the form, but I just want to save these values in any variable and get back to same form with information of previous file ready to be submitted, now again user can upload new file with new values in... and so on... as user is done with the 5 files he should not be allowed to upload more but he should be allowed to submit all the 5 files to DB along with there supporting fields.. How should I proceed further ...?

• Searching pgadmin db and grabbing information?

  I'm currently trying to write a script in RoR to go into my PGAdmin database and look at a list of users, THEN ignore users that have an image path but look at users who don't have one and then upload a link of a generic photo into their row. My database looks Something like this: id integer | name | email | image path | 12 Bob [email protected] www.faces.org 81 Sally [email protected] 114 Mark [email protected] www.faces.org How would I start grabbing those users, I only have 103 users right now, but I also need to think about scaling for the future. • CaptureCameraDialog returns OK but does not save (Motorola ES400)

  Ok it seems like everyone in the world has issues with CaptureCameraDialog. In my case the result is OK, but when taking the photo there is a MessageBox that says "Error" that appears and disappears in the blink of an eye, then returns to my app (so I don't have time to actually read the error). It has not saved the file. It does not throw an error to my application. There is also another issue which is exactly the same as the issue talked about here (yet none of the fixes work for me). http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-4025602.php Does anyone know how to get the "error message" that the dialogue box displays for an instant?

  Trying to get the width and height of the uploaded image while still in the model on the initial save. Any way to do this? Here's the snippet of code I've been testing with from my model. • TTPhotoViewController: How to show small images

  Hi, I posted this question on Three20 google group but did not get any response. So I thought I try this forum. I am using TTPhotoViewController to display photos. I am following sample code given in Three20 sample project: TTCatalog/PhotoTest1Controller.m. In my case some of the images are less than (320,480). The problem which I am facing is that when my image is 200*300 then TTPhotoViewController re-sizes it to full screen on load which distorts the image. I was wondering if there is a way to tell TTPhotoViewController to display image in its actual size and not to resize it. The only thing which I have changed is viewDidLoad function in PhotoTest1Controller.m.   Sometimes, the slideshow on my website, which uses fadeOut and fadeIn to cycle through three main images, will fadeIn a new photo without fading in the old one. This doesn't happen every time the page loads though. • MySQL query optimization.

The query Idea is select all products, where stock_quanity 3, where is photo, and where is no product id in allegro table. Now query takes about 10 seconds... • In .NET, how do you send multiple arguments into a DOS command prompt?

  I am trying to execute DOS commands in ASP.NET 2.0. What I have now calls a BAT file which, in turn, calls a CMD file. It works (with the end result being a file gets ftp'ed). However, I'd like to dump the BAT and CMD files and run everything in .NET. What is the format of sending multiple arguments into the command window? Here is what I have now. • Refer to a Spark view component in code

  I'm building a mobile AIR app using Flash Builder 4.5. The initial view in my views package is TestHomeView.mxml. I want to refer to it in one of my .as classes elsewhere in the app, and I'm not sure how to do that. Theoretically I should be able to add an "id" attribute to TestHomeView.mxml, but FB gives me an error: "id is not allowed on the root tag of a component". The root tag is s:view. The reason I need to do this is that within another class I make various calculations and then need to pass an array of values to a component in my view class. So in SomeOtherActionScriptClass.as I first assemble the array, myArray, and then in that class I want to do this: myViewComponent.viewArray = myArray; If I'm going to do that, I also need to import the view class into the .as class, which strikes me as weird. So is there a simple way to do what I want, or do I have to dispatch a custom event which contains the array, and listen for it in the view class? Thanks.
