  • On Mac, two jpg's whose color should match do not

    So I'm designing a myspace page and I have two images, one is a repeating bg image, and another is an image which loads on a layer above it, which acts as a header/masthead. For some reason, on Macs only, and only in the browser (tested in safari and ff), the masthead renders slightly darker than the repeating bg image, creating this color inconsistency. The block that extends up behind the album artwork is a solid box made with css which blocks some of myspace's standard content. It actually renders as the proper color, blending in well with the bottom portion of this image, which is the repeating part of the background, but becomes noticeable as it extends up, over the masthead, which is darker than it should be. Both images where created in GIMP and saved as jpg's using, as far as i can tell, the same settings. Here's the pic of what is going on: Screenshot - Click Me!!!   • Replace a div content with PHP

    hi everybody, yesterday, I posted a question about "Hom to change a DIV id with a php function" and someone found the right answer with a regular expression. The problem is that I wanted to use this answer to aplly the method on other same problems. But, as I'm very bad at regular expressions, I couldn't. More than once, the videos doesn't appear. Which is obvious because of the unique ID. As you can see, the content has these ids: div id="player959093-parent" div id="player959093" div id="player959093-config s1.write("player959093"); So my question is: Is there a function that can replace the string "player959093" or concatenate it with some other string to resolve the display problem?   • Help! I got a runaway PHP script. My server is down.

    I got a PHP script that is looping and will continue to do so for about another hour. How do I stop it. The script explicitly overrides the time out and the memory buffer. It's on a shared hosting server with cPanel installed. The entire website is down until the script completes. I had added a usleep(100000) statement, but it doesn't appear to work.

    Does anyone know a c++ library that uses advanced encryption standard encryption that can achieve encryption and decryption (using counter mode) in just two lines of codes. No need of padding or buffering the plaintexts the library will take care of all this. I have had a look at crypto++, openssl and libtomcrypt but in these it seems I need to write codes to buffer and pad the plaintexts which I don't want. In brief, I need something along these lines: ciphertext = encrypt(ctr_mode(),plaintext,key) plaintext = decrypt(ctr_mode(),ciphertext,key) Thanks!

  • Non-Standard widget size for Android

    I have a use-case for a vertical 1x4 home screen widget on android. The supported size is 4x1 ie horizontal. Does anyone know if the vertical version can be implemented? I realize changing screen orientation would scrunch the widget together, which I'm fine with. Even better would be if there was an equivalent to "overflow hidden" in css. Has anyone come across a way to do this?

  • Accessing the buffered request body in HttpWebRequest?

    By default HttpWebRequest has AllowWriteStreamBuffering set to true, which means that all data written to the request stream is buffered inside the object. I'd like to access this buffer of data after it has been written, but can't seem to find any way to do so. I'm happy for it to fail if AllowWriteStreamBuffering is false. Is there any way to do this, or is it not exposed anywhere?

The problem asks for efficiently implement three stacks in a single array, such that no stack overflows until there is no space left in the entire array space. For implementing 2 stacks in an array, it's pretty obvious: 1st stack grows from LEFT to RIGHT, and 2nd stack grows from RIGHT to LEFT; and when the stackTopIndex crosses, it signals an overflow.   • Why doesn't ifstream read to the end?

    I'm making a notepad-like program. To get the text from a file I read each character into the buffer by doing while (!file.EOF()) { mystr += file.get(); } however if I load in an exe it stops after MZ but Notepad reads the whole exe. I set my ifstream to binary mode but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

  • jQuery - resizable + draggable, the scrolling(left,top) is not added

    I have a problem with a dragging and resizable box. It works fine, drags and rezises fine, but i have a container that holds these elements and as soon as I trigger an overflow and attempt to rezise the div it fails and resets backs to container width. http://jsfiddle.net/JTTYM/26/ It seams as the this.scrollLeft and this.scrollTop are not included on drag.     I just build a website that works good on any browser even ipad but in Oper ai noticed a weird thing: the website is built with a div layer on top zindez:999, body is overflow:hidden, and you cant scroll, but underneath the div there is a long text that goes way underneath the viewport... the strage thing is that even if any browser i wasable to keep this effect in Oepra if I use the mousewheel you can kepp scrolling...! ...argh.. do you any hack/solution for this?
