  I have a large database and am putting together a report of the data. I have aggregated and summed the data from many tables to get two tables that look like the following. id | code | value id | code | value 13 | AA | 0.5 13 | AC | 2.0 13 | AB | 1.0 14 | AB | 1.5 14 | AA | 2.0 13 | AA | 0.5 15 | AB | 0.5 15 | AB | 3.0 15 | AD | 1.5 15 | AA | 1.0 I need to get a list of id's, with the code (sumed from both tables) with the largest value. 13 | AC 14 | AA 15 | AB There are 4-6 thousand records and it is not possible to change the original tables. I'm not too worried about performance as I only need to run it a few times a year.

  Hi I have a multi value cck field in my cck content type. I want to simulate click on "add another item" using jquery. which is like $('#edit-field-supp-quan-field-supp-quan-add-more').trigger('click'); but it causes whole content form to submit instead of adding extra multi value cck field. Manuall clicks are working perfectly.   I am trying to add a CASE statement to the end of my SQL query to compute a value depending upon another table value and a previously computed value in the SELECT. The error is returned that DelivCount is an invalid column name. Is there a better way to do this or am I missign something?   Hi I wonder how can I implement the STL map sorting by value. For example, I have a map m map<int, int>; m[1] = 10; m[2] = 5; m[4] = 6; m[6] = 1; and then.. I'd like to sort that with the m's value. So, if I print the map, I'd like to get the result like m[6] = 1 m[2] = 5 m[4] = 6 m[1] = 10 this. How can I sort like this way? Is there any way that I can deal with the key and value with sorted values?

  I have a many-to-many relationship between two entities; Item and Tag. I'm trying to create a predicate to take the selectedItem and return a ranking of items based on how many similar tags they have. So far I've tried: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"SUBQUERY(itemToTag, $item, $item in %@).@count > 0", selectedItem.itemToTag]; Any other iterations that have failed. It currently only returns the selectedItem in the list. I've found little on Subquery. Is there a guru out there that can help me refine this? Thanks in advance for the help!

Visitors are recognized by a unique has storred in a cookie and in the favorites table. I need to alter this query so that I can get just the last months worth of songs. • Using NSURLRequest+NSURLConnection seems overkill for a webcall with no data return

  All, This might seems very straightforward but I have already gone through the URL loading system program guide and the various NSURL.... classes and not found my answer. I am just trying to do a simple call from the app to a website to reserve a party spot: NSString *path=[NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://www.myparty123.com/ireservedURL.asp?Nickname=%@&Seat=%i&Email=%@&Currentparty=%i",john,5432,[email protected],6598]; NSURL* reservationURL =[NSURL URLWithString:path]; NSData *call= [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:reservationURL]; This seemed to be the simple way but I get this warning that I am not using the "call" variable. And it seems overkill to do a call using NSData where there is no data return. Yet, creating an NSURLRequest and initiating an NSURLConnection and then implementing delegates with that request seems to be overkill as well. What am I missing. Thanks KMB

  I have been given access to a ms-sql database that is currently used by 3rd party app. As such, I don't have any documentation on how that application stores the data or how it retrieves it. I can figure a few things out based on the names of various tables and the parameters that the user-defined functions takes and returns, but I'm still getting errors at every other turn. I was thinking that it would be really helpful if I could see what the stored functions were doing with the parameters given to return the output. Right now all I've been able to figure out is how to query for the input parameters and the output columns. Is there any built-in information_schema table that will expose what the function is doing between input and output?

• PHP exec() and system() functions always return false in IIS

  Hi there, I'm trying to use the PHP exec() or system() (or any other similar function) to run a batch file, but I can't seem to get these to return anything. The simplest example I've seen is this, which outputs nothing: <?php echo system('dir'); ?> The script is running on a windows XP machine on IIS with PHP installed and I've also tried it on my shared hosting account running windows 2003 server/IIS. Can anyone suggest what I need to do to get this working, or provide any commands I can use for troubleshooting? Cheers, Tom

  I've been googling around and I can't seem to find anything which explains the use of ZF router well. I've read the documentation on the site, which seems to only talk about re-routing. I am trying to make the format: /module/value/controller/action give /module/controller/action passing on value as a parameter e.g. /store/johnsmithbigsale/home/newstuff would route to /store/home/newstuff passing on johnsmithbigsale as the value to a parameter with a hidden namespace e.g. storeName.   I inherited a mysql database that has a table with columns like this: object_id, property, value It holds data like this: 1,first_name,Jane 1,last_name,Doe 1,age,10 1,color,red 2,first_name,Mike 2,last_name,Smith 2,age,20 2,color,blue 3,first_name,John 3,last_name,Doe 3,age,20 3,color,red ... Basically what I want to do is treat this table as a regular table. How would I get the id numbers (or all properties) of a person who is age 20 sorted by last and than first name? So far I have: SELECT object_id FROM table WHERE property = 'age' AND value = '20' union SELECT object_id FROM table WHERE property = 'color' AND value = 'red' But I'm not sure how to go about ordering the data. • Lock HTML select element, allow value to be sent on submit

  I have a select box (for a customer field) on a complex order form, when the user starts to add lines to the order they should not be allowed to change the customer select box (unless all lines are deleted). My immediate thought was that I could use the disabled attribute, but when the box is disabled the selected value is no longer passed to the target. When the problem arose a while ago one of the other developers worked around this by looping through all the options and disabling all but the selected option, and sure enough the value was passed to the target and we've been using since. But now I'm looking for a proper solution, I don't want to loop through all the options because are data is expanding and it's starting to introduce performance issues. I'd prefer not to enable this / all the elements when the submit button is hit. How can I lock the input, whilst maintaining the selected option and passing that value to the target script? I would prefer a non-JavaScript solution if possible, but if needed we are running jQuery 1.4.2 so that could be used.

  With CKEDITOR, when I use JS to get the contents of the Text Editor, I'm getting back: <p>\u000a\u0009&nbsp;ad adad ad asd</p>\u000a When I should have gotten: <p>ad adad ad asd</p> Any idea what's going on here?   I am trying to return a php associative array to javascript array through ajaxRequest.responseText Here's what I do. First in php, I do this: $encoded = json_encode($thisarray); echo $encoded; If I echo $encoded, I get {"a":"apple,arrow","b":"boy,bank","c":"cat,camp"} Then in js script, thisarray = new Array(); thisarray = ajaxRequest.responseText; If I alert thisarray, I get {"a":"apple,arrow","b":"boy,bank","c":"cat,camp"} That's wrong since alerting an array should give error. But in this case, when I alert thisarray, I get the full array!! Needless to say, I can't call my value out of thisarray, since it is yet defined as an array. Anyone can tell me what am I missing here?

  I would like to create an NSDictionary (or something similar) that has two keys per value. It will be for English/Spanish word look-up, where: each value is an array containing all the conjugated verbs in English AND Spanish. each (two) keys contains both an English infinitive (e.g. "to be", "to go") and a Spanish infinitive This way, I can look a word up regardless of language based on the values having two keys per value. Here's an example: keys: "to want" or "querer" values: ["want", "want", "wants", "want", "want", "quiero", "quieres", "quiere", "queremos", "quieren"]

• Dojo slider: update value dynamically

  I am building an application where the user browses certain objects by scrolling and zooming. To change the zoom level I have successfully implemented a "dijit.form.HorizontalSlider" object. Every time the user changes the position of the silder, I can catch the "onChange" call and do something with that. However, the user can also zoom-in by double clicking inside the view zone, at which point the slider should change position automatically to reflect the new zoom level. My question is the following: what function or method should I call in my javascript to update the position of a dojo silder ? • jQuery Validation using the class instead of the name value

  Hi, I'd like to validate a form using the jquery validate plugin, but I'm unable to use the 'name' value within the html - as this is a field also used by the server app. Specifically, I need to limit the number of checkboxes checked from a group. (Maximum of 3.) All of the examples I have seen, use the name attribute of each element. What I'd like to do is use the class instead, and then declare a rule for that. html This works: <input class="checkBox" type="checkbox" id="i0000zxthy" name="salutation" value="1" /> This doesn't work, but is what I'm aiming for: <input class="checkBox" type="checkbox" id="i0000zxthy" name="i0000zxthy" value="1" /> javascript: var validator = $(".formToValidate").validate({ rules:{ "salutation":{ required:true, }, "checkBox":{ required:true, minlength:3 } } }); Is it possible to do this - is there a way of targeting the class instead of the name within the rules options?
