    I download a big file of .Net 3.5 SP1 from http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe Now when I try to install it on Windows Server 2012, I get the following screenshot: What the?? When will the microsoft learn? Now this is a loop. When I try to install from Server Manager, I get installation cannot be done. It needs installation disk. Does that mean I can't install at all without the installation disk in presence?

    Hello all, I have a small WordPress site. I do a lot of audio work and I'm trying to post HTML5 audio clips in blog entries on WordPress. For some reason it isn't working. It might have something to do with the style I'm using on my WordPress site but I haven't been able to nail it down. I know my audio tags are valid, as they work elsewhere. Here's an example audio tag: <audio src="http://files.dannystewart.com/dom2008.mp3"></audio> And here's a page demonstrating it not working: http://www.dannystewart.com/html5-audio-test/ I'm quite sure this is something very simple that I've just missed, but any pointers would be appreciated.     I have the following relation in my rails app: genre - has many - authors authors - belong to genre and has many books books - belongs to authors and belongs to users (users can add books to the db) in my controller I have: @books=current_user.books(:include => [:author => :genre], :order => 'created_at DESC') While I am able to use the @books variable in my views - nothing is done correctly (i.e. its not showing me only books added by that user, and its not descending by created_at)... any ideas? -- Also I'm using clearance for the user auth, so current_user without the @ in the controller seems to work fine Actually, I think the relation is working, only the sort might not be working...

    Hey guys, thanks for looking. I have an ATI FirePro™ V3700 in my desktop machine, and I have been running a dual-monitor setup quite effortlessly, thanks to the two DVI ports on the card. I came upon a third monitor, and wanted to extend my desktop to 3 screens, so I purchased a DVI splitter from Amazon. Now, I can only duplicate the second monitor onto the third, not extend it. I've tried all possible combinations of input to no avail. Here's the setup: The ATI FirePro™ V3700 has two Dual-Link DVI-I outputs The splitter splits a single Dual-Link DVI-I port into two Dual-Link DVI-I outputs Two of the monitors are NEC E222W, and the third monitor is a Dell 2001FP. Each monitor has one D-Sub and one Dual-Link DVI-D input. Cables going from the video card to the monitors are two Dual-Link DVI-D to the NECs and one Single-Link DVI-D to the Dell. Is the problem likely with the DVI-D/DVI-I mismatch? Or is it with the cable on the Dell that is only a Single-Link? The cables are easily replaceable, the monitors not so much. Thread.new do my_another_queue = AWS::SQS::Queue.new(SQSADDR['my_another_queue']) my_another_queue.poll do |msg| ... and now it seems to not work. Only the last one receives response... What is going on?

  • Command+Tab not working on MacOSX Client with Synergy

    I have an Ubuntu 11.10 laptop paired with an Apple Wireless Keyboard. I'm using the answer on this question to swap the Command and Option keys so that they are mapped like a regular keyboard. This works fine in Ubuntu. Now I have a Macbook Pro running as a Synergy Client. This mapping kind of works on the Macbook, but it only allows me to Command+Tab between two programs, not all of them. Copy, Paste, and other Command keys seem to work fine, but not Command+Tab. It's annoying just because I use the keyboard a lot. And yes, I could switch to syncing the keyboard and the Macbook, but I use the Ubuntu laptop more.

    Took me a bit to realize that since upgrading to 8.1 my touchpad smart gestures (two finger scroll, top down swipe, left in swipe, ect) don't work. I have read up a little online but can't seem to find an answer or fix that 1) sounds trustworthy and 2) is put into language and steps that I understand. I already have a hard time navigating windows 8 in general, so any help is awesome, but please dumb it down for me if you can. Thanks -K-

    i've setup a forwarding zone on a RHEL6 Bind server like this: zone "office.local" IN { type forward; forward only; forwarders { 192.168.0.2; 192.168.0.3; }; }; when i try to query using dig @127.0.0.1 monitorsms.office.local i see the following message in the syslog: client 127.0.0.1#39376: query: monitorsms.office.local IN A + (127.0.0.1) validating @0x7ff7640357d0: monitorsms.office.local A: bad cache hit (monitorsms.office.local/DS) google tells me, that there is an issue with DNSSEC, but both servers do not have DNSSEC configured and thus do not send any DNSSEC records. What's wrong with my configuration?

  • Updating with using custom class collection not working

    I've posted this yesterday on asp forum but no one replied so perhaps I'll have better luck here. For some reason the OnUpdating method does not pull new values from the grid which is in edit mode. I've search and have come across several blogs and sites, some sugesting that an ObjectDataSource is required in order to use the "e.NewValue" construct others provide code to the contrary. I don't get any errors - the variables in the code file would contain the old values rather then new ones. I don't want to use the ODS way of manipulating the data. My delete method works but not the update one. Can you suggest what is wrong with the code?     I'm trying to rename certain video devices using udev. Here's a rule (broken down for readability): ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{busnum}=="1", ATTR{devpath}=="2", ATTR{idVendor}=="05e1", NAME="video97" It works. /dev/video97 is created But the original /dev/video1 node is STILL there. The even worse, when I try to view the /dev/video97 node in guvcview it doesn't work, while the original node DOES work.

    hi all, i've been reinstalling my oracle and somehow when im trying to start them, it says that apphelp.dll is missing. when i lookup in c:/window/systems32 the apphelp.dll was there. i also download new from internet and try to replace them in case it crash but it said that i cannot delete the file coz it's still running. my question is, if i was doing the right thing by replacing the apphelp.dll can solve my problem, how can i stop this apphelp.dll? thanks

  • Likelihood of a hard drive PCB replacement working?

    I have a 1.5TB Seagate 7200.11 that died. The platter still spins up initially when attached to a machine, but then the drive clicks and spins down. Then the cycle repeats. I've found a few sites that sell replacement PCBs, however I don't know if the PCB is the issue, or something else. Given the symptoms above, is it at all likely that a PCB replacement would help? If not, I won't waste my money on the PCB replacement. Note: I put the drive in an external ESATA controller and tried hooking it up to a Linux box here at work and got some error messages in the logs. I can post them if anyone thinks it will help in determining whether a PCB swap would fix the problem I'm running into.

    In my own computer, running MacOSX, I have this in ~/.ssh/config Host * ForwardAgent yes Host b1 ForwardAgent yes b1 is a virtual machine running Ubuntu 12.04. I ssh to it like this: ssh pupeno@b1 and I get logged in without being asked for a password because I already copied my public key. Due to forwarding, I should be able to ssh to pupeno@b1 from b1 and it should work, without asking me for a password, but it doesn't. It asks me for a password. What am I missing? Situation as below: If i enable the 'Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 27CC' , then my pc will not be able to read any USB stick/pendrive, but usb port work fine with keyboard and mouse. If I disable the device driver, then all kind of pendrive can be read. Below is What i have done : 1) try the same pendrive on other pc, it work like charm. 2) try others pendrive on issue pc, same problem, but it work fine in others pc. 3) try all the port, including the port that connected to mouse n keyboard. 4) update the driver version. 5) restore default setting of usb in bios Please help to solve these issue if anyone experience it before.
