• Truncate text to fit table cell without wrapping using css or jquery

  I want the text in one of the columns of a table to not wrap, but to just truncate so that it fits within the current size of the table cell. I don't want the table cell to change size, as I need the table to be exactly 100% the width of the container. This is because the table with 100% width is inside of a positioned div with overflow: auto (it's actually inside of a jquery UI.Layout panel). I tried both overflow: hidden and the text still wrapped. In order to tidy this table up, I need to get this information as a date range rather than a row per day as it currently is. I can obviously do this with Min and Max aggregates easily but the ranges overlap and other business code expect non-overlapping ranges. I also tried to achieve this with self joins and row_number(), but without much success...   Hello, I want to connect two devices using the GKSession, starting one as a server and the other one as a client. Using this configuration I can't use the GKPeerPickerController. I'm having problems for connecting the two devices: Using only bluetooth: impossible using WiFi: at least there are some data exchange between the devices but no successfully conection. In the interface file I have the GKSessionDelegate GKSession *session; In the implementation, I start the server using this code: session = [[GKSession alloc] initWithSessionID:@"iFood" displayName:nil sessionMode:GKSessionModeClient]; session.delegate = self; session.available = YES; The client starts using this code: session = [[GKSession alloc] initWithSessionID:@"iFood" displayName:nil sessionMode:GKSessionModeServer]; session.delegate = self; session.available = YES; How I can force the use of Bluetooth instead of the WiFi ? • OpenGL ES 2.0 FBO creation goes wrong with unknown error

I'm creating an FBO, binding a texture, and then the very first glDrawArrays() crashes with a "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" on my iPhone Simulator.   I'm creating a static library to share using the following guide: http://www.amateurinmotion.com/articles/2009/02/08/creating-a-static-library-for-iphone.html In one of the functions, I return a "SomeUIView" which is a subclass of UIView and is defined in the public header, however I don't want to expose the internal instance variable of SomeUIView in the public header. I've tried using categories for a private internal header file for SomeUIView, but I keep running into "Duplicate interface declaration for class 'SomeUIView'". Does anyone know how to do this? • Why is "wsdl" namespace interjected into action name when using savon for ruby soap communication?

  I'm trying to access a SOAP service i don't control. One of the actions is called ProcessMessage. I follow example and generate a SOAP request, but I get an error back saying that the action doesn't exist. I traced the problem to the way the body of the envelope is generated. <env:Envelope ... "> <env:Header> <wsse:Security ... "> <wsse:UsernameToken ..."> <wsse:Username>USER</wsse:Username> <wsse:Nonce>658e702d5feff1777a6c741847239eb5d6d86e48</wsse:Nonce> <wsu:Created>2010-02-18T02:05:25Z</wsu:Created> <wsse:Password ... >password</wsse:Password> </wsse:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> </env:Header> <env:Body> <wsdl:ProcessMessage> <payload> ...... </payload> </wsdl:ProcessMessage> </env:Body> </env:Envelope> That ProcessMessage tag should be : <ProcessMessage xmlns="http://www.starstandards.org/webservices/2005/10/transport"> That's what it is when it is generated by the sample java app, and it works. That tag is the only difference between what my ruby app generates and the sample java app. Is there any way to get rid of the "wsdl:" namesaplce in front of that one tag and add an attribute like that. Barring that, is there a way to make force the action to be not to be generated by just passed as a string like the rest of the body? • Fulltext search for django : Mysql not so bad ? (vs sphinx, xapian)

  I am studying fulltext search engines for django. It must be simple to install, fast indexing, fast index update, not blocking while indexing, fast search. After reading many web pages, I put in short list : Mysql MYISAM fulltext, djapian/python-xapian, and django-sphinx I did not choose lucene because it seems complex, nor haystack as it has less features than djapian/django-sphinx (like fields weighting). Then I made some benchmarks, to do so, I collected many free books on the net to generate a database table with 1 485 000 records (id,title,body), each record is about 600 bytes long. From the database, I also generated a list of 100 000 existing words and shuffled them to create a search list. For the tests, I made 2 runs on my laptop (4Go RAM, Dual core 2.0Ghz): the first one, just after a server reboot to clear all caches, the second is done juste after in order to test how good are cached results. Mysql seems to me a good choice as there is nothing to install (I need just to write a small script to synchronize an Innodb production table to a MyISAM search table) and as I do not really need advanced search feature like stemming etc...   I need to communicate with a RS232 device, I have no specs or information available. I send a 16 byte command and get a 16 byte result back. The last byte looks like some kind of crc or checksum, I have tried using this http://miscel.dk/MiscEl/miscelCRCandChecksum.html with no luck. • NSCollectionView draws nothing

  I'm trying to set up an NSCollectionView (I have done this successfully in the past, but for some reason it fails this time). I have a model class called "TestModel", and it has an NSString property that just returns a string (just for testing purposes right now). I then have an NSMutableArray property declaration in my main app delegate class, and to this array I add instances of the TestModel object. I then have an Array Controller that has its Content Array bound the app delegate's NSMutableArray. I can confirm that everything up to here is working fine; NSLogging: [[[arrayController arrangedObjects] objectAtIndex:0] teststring] worked fine. I then have all the appropriate bindings for the collection view set up, (itemPrototype and content), and for the Collection View Item (view). I then have a text field in the collection item view that is bound to Collection View Item.representedObject.teststring. However NOTHING displays in the collection view when I start the app, just a blank white screen. What am I missing? UPDATE 2: If I log [collectionView content] I get nothing: 2009-10-21 08:02:42.385 CollViewTest[743:a0f] ( ) The problem is probably there. When I try to load directly from the stream I get an exception, Illegal characters in path. I don't know what is going on, if I can load the same xml as a text file why can't I load it as a stream. • XML Postback issue

  I have a script that is designed to parse XML postbacks from Ultracart, right now just dumps it into a MySQL table. The script works fine if I point it to a XML file on my localhost but using 'php://input' it doesn't seem to grabbing anything.   I am trying to set up a new GitHub account as part of learning ruby on rails. My OS is windows. I am having the following problem while trying to add my public key to the GitHub SSH public keys. When I put the key in the text area, supply a name, and click 'Add Key', I am taken to the Job profile page without any confirmation that the key has been added.(I am using SSH client GUI to generate RSA keys). When I come back to the SSH public keys page, I see that the key is not there. I tried this multiple times...without any result. • Yet Another Forum integration with Umbraco issue

However as mentioned in that page, there is a known issue with the user registration. Anyone knows how to get around that?
