    hello i installed debian squeeze in my pc but i dont have any sound , my sound device is Ac97 and i installed these package in my system alsa-base alsa-oss alsa-tools alsa-utils alsamixergui gstreamer0.10-alsa libao-common libao4 libasound2 linux-sound-base oss-compat when i want to run alsamixer io got this message cannot open mixer: No such file or directory anyone know why i got this message ? and i cant hear any sound in my pc?

  • HP DL 380G7 Raid swap drives

    disks 0 and 1 are raid redundant (OS) and the remaining 6 drives are in raid 5 I believe. i would like to pull out disks 0 and 1 and install new drives to build a new OS. I need to be able to reinsert the old drives and reboot back to the original OS. (swap) I had a serious problem in the past attempting this. does the raid require (look for) the drives based on a serial number or something? just dont want to lose data. thanks

    I am trying to install packadges SUNWi1cs and SUNWi15cs for Oracle 11g on Solaris 10 (VMWare Player). NO cdrom (I dont know how to mount it the iso file is on USB device), I transferd the ISO and unzip the ISO in a directory I run: "pkgadd -d /export/michel/SOLARIS_10/PRODUCT SUNi1cs" == process datastream failed ... errno=2. I've check the web without success, many answers but none that fit my prob. Thank you

    I've been trying to configure my freeradius server on Linux to authenticate users from an existing Active Directory (windows server 2003) and i've already done that. Now i need to assign VLANs to those users and i dont know how to :(. The logical procedure should be with an AD attribute but i haven't found which one nor how to read it from the AD to use it on the freeradius server...     Based on many online sources, in serving static files, Apache2 will create new thread on every different connection... results in resource hungry But how about serving PHP through Apache2 (mod_php, MPM worker, etc)? Does apache will also open new thread like serving static files? (AFAIK, in nginx php-fpm, we can set the max thread, but I dont know how many connection per thread) I'm planning to use Apache2 in serving PHP, and hope it will be same as nginx PHP-FPM or even better in resource usage and performance.

    Hello, I am using Windows Vista, my Motherboard is Intel D102GGC2 The transfer speed through USB is very slow on my PC, just 2-3 MBps... I also use Ubuntu 9.10, and surprisingly the USB transfer speed is as expected, ie 16-17 MBps. So everytime i have to transfer Huge files i have to reboot into Ubuntu. What might be the Problem ??? I checked the Intel website for the ubdated drivers for my mobo, but they dont support my mobo now. Thanks
