Have loaded a php variable into flash but cant apply it in a function...

hi I have created an actionscript function which stops an animation on a specific frame which works fine. I have then loaded in a php file with a variable which will contain the number for the frame i want the animation to stop on. Joomla Development - Allow Direct File Access AND use Joomla-intern Framework

Hi As usual you write in Joomla Development defined('_JEXEC') or die('Restricted access'); I make a plugin which needs access from Paypal/IPN, so i exclude that in that specific file. BUT I also need to use the Joomla-intern Variables to access the Database, so i tried this: require("../filewithaccesstoframework.php"); OR even $baseurl = $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']; $baseurl ="http://".$baseurl."/configuration.php"; require($baseurl); By using the first code it displays "Restircted Access" since it seems to take this from the included file which i can't skip to put-in-there. The second code does not seem to recognize the Variables used in configuration.php like $host, $db, $password. the file configuration.php is chmod 444 Why this happens and is there a workarround to allow direct access to a file AND using the Joomla intern Framework (Variables, Functions)?

I want to load data from my web server, I want it be the AJAX/Comet way, my web-server long holds the request, response it until something happened. How to skip integers in C++ taken from a fstream txt file?

I need to create a function that uses a loop. This function will open a text file and then must be able to skip a variable number of leading random integers. The program must be able to handle any number of leading random integers. Example if the opened file reads this on its first line: 100 120 92 82 38 49 102 and the SKIP_NUMBER variable is assigned 3 the number the function would grab is 82. The function must continue to grab the integers every SKIP_NUMBER until it reaches the end of the file. These integers taken from the txt file are then placed into another text file. SQLite3 or SQLite Manager make me crazy !!! Please help me !! I have a presentation next week

My friend added 90 rows into the database, I tied it up to my app. In my table view name of my variables are shown in proper fashion but when I tapped one of them, in detailsViewController their description is wrong. It shows very old description of variables not the new ones in database. Moreover, it displays the same description for different variables. What's the problem ? What am i missing? My database is correct. It displays same desscriptions for different values. It makes me worried about. Additionally, when I added a new row to my db, it accepts it but it does not perceive it when i run the app. It shows new row in my tableview if and only if I change the name of my db file. I do not want to use another SQL manager ..

Coldfusion CFC creation taking a variable amout of time to execute.

I've been doing some logging of object creation times in our open account process in production. Periodically, initializing an object would take way longer than expected. By initializing I mean calling it's init() and passing a couple of arguments that may be simple variables or objects. e.g. <cfset validateObj = createObject("component", "compExample").init( productionMode = VARIABLES.productionMode, ipWhiteListed = isWhiteListed, ipLocatorObj = VARIABLES.ipLocatorObj ) /> Thats all that happens in init() methods. Generally the execution time would be 0ms, but at random times I might get 3 or 3.5 seconds. This is not specific to one particular server or to our generally busy period. It appears to be quite random. One thought was that these templates were being evicted from our template cache as they are not especially frequently used, although I checked cfstat on a number of servers and the max CP/Sec is -1. Running CF 8,0,1 Has anybody else ever come across this?

Printing UTF-16 strings in JSP is outputted as HTML encoding (&#xxxx)

Hello, When I try to print a UTF-16 string in JSP, specifically Hebrew, it ends up showing up as HTML encoding (&#xxxx). This problem occurs because I print an array of variables into the web page and then parse them. The variables are all UTF-16 strings, but once the servlet prints the variables, it becomes translated to HTML encoding. Is there any way to get rid of the encoding? Thanks in advance Edit for a bit more background: The JSP that I'm printing is not the entirety of the page. It's used in a manner I don't quite understand by a server app which prints the JSPs output into its built in page. As a result, I can't, for instance, use a tag because the will have already been placed somewhere else. This isn't a frame or anything like that. It's just redirected output.

MATLAB: Need to make a 4D plot (3D + Colour/Color)

I need to make a 3D surface where colour will represent the fourth variable. I know "surf" is SIMILAR to what I need, but that's not quite it. Basically, I have the following variables: t = [1:m] y = [1:n] a = [1:o] These should be the three Cartesian corodinate axes. I also have a variable S that is of dimensions m x n x o, and is basically the amplitude, a function of the previous three variables (i.e. S = f(t,y,a)). I want this to be represented by colour. So to summarize, I need a graph of the form (t,y,a,S), where the first three variables are vectors of unequal sizes and the final variable is a multidimensional array whose dimensions are determined by the first three. Why use a do-end block in Lua?

I keep trying to find answers for this but fail to do so. I wanted to know, what is the do-end block actually used for? It just says values are used when needed in my book so how could I use this? Do I use it to reduce the scope of local variables by placing a function in a do-end loop and place local variables outside of the function but inside this do-end block and the variables will be seen by the function? But then can the function still be called? Sorry for being very vague. I hope that makes sense. Maybe an illustrated example might be useful ^^

I'm trying to use concat on some variables. These variables have been declared as chars: declare v_order_date char(10); declare v_quantity char(11); declare v_plant char(100); I have a cursor where I am setting these as some outputs. To call the results, I am setting v_msg as set v_msg := concat( v_msg, '\n', v_order_date, v_quantity, v_plant); However, the result I am getting when I select v_msg is: 2012-01-222501008 Creeping Buttercup but I want to maintain the length of the declared variables in my select that looks like this 2012-01-22 250 1008 Creeping Buttercup Are there any suggestions? C++ object in memory

Hello. Is there a standard in storing a C++ objects in memory? I wish to set a char* pointer to a certain address in memory, so that I can read certain objects' variables directly from the memory byte by byte. When I am using Dev C++, the variables are stored one by one right in the memory address of an object in the order that they were defined. Now, can it be different while using a different compiler (like the variables being in a different order, or somewhere else)? Thank you in advance. :-)

Javascript array value is undefined ... how do I test for that

I am trying to test to see whether a Javascript variable is undefined. You will see that I am not expecting the value of predQuery[preId] to be 'undefined' if I don't first get an alert saying "its unbelievable". requireJS : How to structure Javascript for an entire site?

I have 3000+ lines of javascript that I need to get into a sensible/maintainable structure. I have chosen to use requireJS as it has been recommend to me by a few people. I have a bunch of variables that are used throughout the application and need to be available everywhere. I also have a bunch of functions that need to be available everywhere. Apart from these two dependencies most of the code can be divided off into their own modules. I am having trouble understanding how to manage my main variables so that if one module of code makes changes to the variables the rest of the JS modules will see that change. I think I need to see a few examples that demonstrate how requireJS is intended to work on a larger scale that the examples in the documentation. If anyone is an experienced requireJS user I would love the hear your tips!

Can a programming language without arrays be turing-complete?

My question is simple: There are no arrays possible. That means you can address variables only "statically" by directly using their unique name. (This already throws out the default array syntax variable[ index ] and variable variables) "Emulated arrays" are counted as arrays and excluded too. Examples: You could basically simulate arrays using strings (quite easily actually) or use variable variables as in PHP. Can such a language be turing-complete? Brainf*ck for example has arrays, in fact it is one big array, isn't it?

using coldfuion 9 I used structdelete(session,"Elementemployee.id") in one of my .cfm display files.Also in my application.cfc it defined as is <cfset tArray[1][2] = "#session.employee_id#"> and the error is `Elementemployee.id is undefined in SESSION.` Is there a way that i can reset it without following the method shown below Navigate to the page Server Settings => Memory Variablesin the Coldfusion Administrator. Uncheck the option Use J2EE session variables and check the options Enable Application Variables and Enable Session Variables. Click the button to submit the changes.

what is the accepted naming convention for int, string, array, list, object, etc...

The company I work for now uses a set naming convention for their C# variables such as iSomeName for int, sSomeName for string, aSomeName for arrays, bSomeName for boolean, dSomeName for datetime and so on. My previous employer did not use the i, s, a, b and d prefixes and just named the variables a good understandable name. My impression is that these prefixes lost favor a while ago and from what I read it is not the current trend. It seems fine to me either way as long as the variable is descriptive enough to understand what it is doing but I was wondering what the now-a-day accepted practice is for naming variables?

C++: String and unions

I'm having a (design) problem: I'm building an interpreter and I need some storage for variables. There are basically two types of content a variable here can have: string or int. I'm using a simple class for the variables, all variables are then stored in a vector. However, as a variable can hold a number or a string, I don't want C++ to allocate both and consume memory for no reason. That's why I wanted to use unions: union { string StringValue; int IntValue; } However, strings don't work with unions. Is there any workaround so no memory gets eaten for no reason?

Make array from $_POST values

Let's start telling that I'm passing an x amount of variables via post from a form. Let's name them menu_category_1, menu_category_2, ..., menu_category_x, plus, maybe, menu_category_new (I'm using an if empty to check this last one variable). To make things easier I'm also sending the parameter $key (amount of variables starting from 0). Now I need to set them into a new variable $menu_category (array), which is going to be imploded and then update my database. How do I set up that new $menu_category variable to be an array containing all my variables named in the beginning? I was thinking of using a for loop but I can't come up with something useful. C#: reading in a text file more 'intelligently'

I have a text file which contains a list of alphabetically organized variables with their variable numbers next to them formatted something like follows: aabcdef 208 abcdefghijk 1191 bcdefga 7 cdefgab 12 defgab 100 efgabcd 999 fgabc 86 gabcdef 9 h 11 ijk 80 ... ... I would like to read each text as a string and keep it's designated id# something like read "aabcdef" and store it into an array at spot 208. The 2 issues I'm running into are: I've never read from file in C#, is there a way to read, say from start of line to whitespace as a string? and then the next string as an int until the end of line? given the nature and size of these files I do not know the highest ID value of each file (not all numbers are used so some files could house a number like 3000, but only actually list 200 variables) So how could I make a flexible way to store these variables when I don't know how big the array/list/stack/etc.. would need to be.

WiX 3 Tutorial: Understanding main WXS and WXI file

In the previous post we’ve taken a look at the WiX solution/project structure and project properties. We’re still playing with our super SuperForm application and today we’ll take a look at the general parts of the main wxs file, SuperForm.wxs, and the wxi include file. For wxs file we’ll just go over the general description of what each part does in the code comments. The more detailed descriptions will be in future posts about features themselves. WXI include file Include files are exactly what their name implies. To include a wxi file into the wxs file you have to put the wxi at the beginning of each .wxs file you wish to include it in. If you’ve ever worked with C++ you can think of the include files as .h files. For example if you include SuperFormVariables.wxi into the SuperForm.wxs, the variables in the wxi won’t be seen in FilesFragment.wxs or RegistryFragment.wxs. You’d have to include it manually into those two wxs files too. For preprocessor variable $(var.VariableName) to be seen by every file in the project you have to include them in the WiX project properties->Build->“Define preprocessor variables” textbox. This is why I’ve chosen not to go this route because in multi developer teams not everyone has the same directory structure and having a single variable would mean each developer would have to checkout the wixproj file to edit the variable. This is pretty much unacceptable by my standards. This is why we’ve added a System Environment variable named SuperFormFilesDir as is shown in the previous Wix Tutorial post. Because the FilesFragment.wxs is autogenerated on every project build we don’t want to change it manually each time by adding the include wxi at the beginning of the file. The main WXS file: SuperForm.wxs We’ll only take a look at the general structure of the main SuperForm.wxs and not its the details. We’ll cover the details in future posts. The code comments should provide plenty info about what each part does in general. Basically there are 5 major parts.
