    I see two burn methods in the options menu of all disc burning programs: "Track at once" and "Disc at once". What is the difference between these two methods?   • Messages fail to deliver when sending out a mass email

    A client of mine sent out a mass email to a bunch of people on his contact list. A bounceback email was received by my client stating that: "The server has tried to deliver this message, without success, and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk." That error is associated with every recipient in that mass email. Any ideas on where to look to resolve this? He is able to send and recieve other emails normally.

  • OS X: How to show all files in chooser dialogs

    On OS X 10.5 and 10.6 at least, the command to enable all files in Finder only affects Finder Windows -- the "/File /Open" dialogs on applications still show a limited set of files, ignoring nearly all the Unix stuff. Is there a setting which enables ALL file dialogs of ALL types to show ALL files? I really am a big boy and promise not to harm them! :)

  • Where are Windows XP toolbars defined?

    Hello all, I'm trying to find where the Windows XP taskbars are defined. I don't think it is in the registry as I've: created a new folder called "_ZYX_Searchable" and added a new toolbar. searched the registry for this string and found no results. I've also searched the entire "c:" drive in case it has created a ".lnk" file somewhere but not found anything. Can any one point me in the right direction? G

  • Is it Possible to Increase Display Resolution for OS X Maverick

    The new OS X Maverick operating system has reduced maximum display resolution from 1920 x 1200 in Mountain Lion to 1680 x 1050, which is a SIZABLE reduction. The difference is obvious when viewing videos or photos. In addition, the colors are less vibrant. Does anyone know a way to change the display resolution for Maverick, thus restoring Mountain Lion resolution (1920 x 1200)...along with color vibrancy. By the way, I am using a 2012 Macbook Pro, with Matte display, which I think makes matters worse. At 1920 x 1200 my Macbook Pro was excellent...but at 1680 x 1050, it is very pedestrian.

  • Is there a way to remove duplicate emails from a remote account?

    I have a user who has multiple duplicated emails across multiple folders on his IMAP account. How he managed to create them is beyond me, but mine is not to reason why, just to fix it! Can anyone recommend an application that I may use to remove the duplicates. (we're talking mailboxes in excess of 9G, and it's a remote server) I don't mind what OS I have to use to clean up the mailbox, I'm just looking for some recommendations. Thanks

  • How do I identify Blackberry / OWA users in my IIS logs?

    We just rolled out a Blackberry Express Server, and would like to make sure that all Blackberry devices that our users own are connecting SOLELY through the BES server. We are running Exchange 2010 SP1. I've read some links that discuss blocking BIS at the firewall level. Before doing that, however, I'd like to individually contact all users with Blackberries and make sure that they have a chance to switch to the BES server. I've sent a company-wide email, but unsurprisingly folks tend to tune these out until they are forced into action. Is there an easy way to identify the users with Blackberries by searching IIS logs, or perhaps using the Exchange Management Shell? Especially some automated way? I've tried searching for the Blackberry identifier, but it does not appear next to any user name, so it's not as helpful as it could be. Edit: to clarify, what I'm talking about is the fact that Blackberries can use OWA to download mail to the phone. We do not allow IMAP or POP access through our firewall so that's not a concern--just folks with Blackberries using Blackberry's hack to allow it to connect to Exchange without a BES server. As far as I know, Blackberries are the only popular phones that use this method to download mail.

    Hello, I have VBA code in Excell that send mails, but every time it wait few second for me to accept the sending. Some time before I changed two (2) keys in registry and it sends without asking me for accepting, but I migrated computer and forgot where the keys are. Over internet there is very much bed solutions like to install some plugins and so on, and there isn't this simple solution in any place... Some one remember this two keys? Thank you for ahead.

  • How to give everyone access to a office@companyname address and let everyone see what messages were

    This should be simple (because I assume everyone has this problem) but googling and searching of serverfault didn't help much. I'd like all messages sent to our "office@companyname" to be visible by everyone and I'd like anyone to be able to respond. I also need everyone to at least SEE that a given message has already been answered (the ability to see the actual response would be nice). I tried using an shared folder for this but it fails miserably because replying to emails leaves no trace, not even for the user that actually sent the message. I'm open to any kind of solution, even commercial add-on solutions.

  • Why does my exchange message filtering rule not work?

    I have two rules set up to sort incoming bug reports. The first is specific to a single device: Apply this rule after the message arrives sent to SMS Distribution and with <source_device_number>: in the body move it to the BugReports\<source_device_number> folder ..and the second is a catch-all for everything else: Apply this rule after the message arrives sent to SMS Distribution move it to the BugReports folder For some reason though, the first rule never seems to act even though it's higher in the list. So for some reason an email like the following doesn't seem to get caught by the first rule: From: <SourceDeviceUID> To: SMS Distributor Subject: Message from <SourceDeviceUID> Message: <source_device_number>: Device encountered a problem. Details below... ...where <source_device_number> is an integer. The second rule works fine. But for some high-priority devices, I want them automatically sorted. Why might that first rule fail?

  • Wake computer from sleep/standby without BIOS support for WOL?

    Just bought a new home server and the nice folks at HP disabled the Wake-On-Lan feature in my motherboard. Are there any other options for waking the computer from Sleep/Standby mode? I'd like to take advantage of power savings wherever I can. I realize that I won't be able to wake it from shutdown, short of putting together some Rube Goldberg machine. EDIT: I'd like to be able to wake the machine on demand, remotely. So I can then RDP into it, or access files, etc.

    We are actively using the Follow Up mail feature to assign users to particular mail follow up items. Although mail item follow ups are generally the province of the individual user, by changing the flag value from "Follow Up" to "User name", we can see each other's follow up tasks and group on responsible party. Currently we accomplish the Flag value change manually. My sense is the easiest way to perfect the process is a separate macro for each user. Along the lines of the macro to change the star/end due date to end of month, please define the macro to re-assign the Flag value for each highlighted mail item (previously assigned by default).   • ATI Catalyst setting to stretch Windows XP start bar across both displays

    I have a Lenovo T400 laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series video card, using the ATI Catalyst Control Center to span my Windows XP display over the laptop display and a Dell flatpanel LCD. This works fine, but I'm used to NVIDIA multi-desktop that let me control the "Start bar" to either exist on only 1 screen... be duplicated on both, or (what I want), stretched across both. Is this possible with the ATI card/Catalyst Software? If not, are there any utilities out there that will handle this for me?   • Enlarging everything on 16" 1920x1080 notebook display in Windows 7

    Does Windows 7 have an option to enlarge everything on the screen, e.g. via a spi setting? How well does this work? i.e. do the objects look clear when enlarged? I ask this because sometimes software that enlarges non-photographic bitmap images e.g. icons and symbols can leave them artifacted with harsh jaggier slopes and blurred lines. I've tried the dpi setting in Windows XP but it doesn't enlarge everything, and some things are not so clear as described above. I'm looking at a notebook/laptop with this spec.   • Color Calibrate Dual Monitor XP SP2

    This topic has been touched on before but not really answered. I have a dual monitor system and the colors differ wildly. I currently live Buenos Aires where color correction hardware costs premium prices. I do some graphic design, but don't require a pro-level calibration. That said, I'd like my monitors to be set as close to "true color" as possible. I've located the useful and free Monitor Calibration Wizard, but it seems to adjust the entire system internally at startup. I could use the Microsoft Color Control Panel Applet to set a different ICC or ICM profile for each monitor, but the Monitor Calibration Wizard outputs its own format for profiles.

  • Client unable to access OWA website after temporarily changing SSL certificate on the server

    I have the following issue: One client computer (Windows XP) cannot access the OWA website. All other client computers can (Except another one in the same remote office). How this happened: I temporarily changed the SSL certificate on the Exchange Server yesterday. After a few minutes, I reverted back, an now the same certificate that was installed for years is back again. During these few minutes, they were in OWA on this computer and got a certificate error. What exactly happens: Internet Explorer displays the error Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, Firefox displays The connection was reset and Crome shows This webpage is not available. The connection to ... was interrupted. What I already did to try to get this working: Restart the client computer Restart the exchange server Deleted Internet Explorer browsing history In IE, Internet Options, tab Content, under Certificates deletes SSL cache Restored Internet Explorer to the default parameters I looked into certmgr.msc, but did not find a certificate related to the issue What could I do else to narrow down the origin of this problem (or better: resolve it) ? Can you give any advice ?

  • Ubuntu firefox: some web-pages stuck on loading

    Just installed Ubuntu 10.04 beta, installation went fine and all programs are working smooth. Just this one weird network problem. Some sites simply are not opening and loading forever. For example, google.com and youtube are working well, but ubuntu.com and many other are not opening at all, or are loaded partly. One thing i noticed is that on all of those pages on firefox status bar is message "Looking up for www.google-analytics.com" (or similar remote resources) message appearing all the time (even on this page, but it somehow has loaded and working). I should mention that i tried those pages to open on windows OS on this same machine, and they opened without problems. So i am guessing that it has to be some sort of network configuration problems on Ubuntu. What could cause such problem?

  • Exchange 2010 OWA- Open Other User Mailbox

    I just started working for this small firm (30 people) a little bit ago, replacing their System Admin. First thing I noticed was Exchange Server 2010 was WAY out of date. Believe it or not they did not have SP1 installed. So after I installed and configured Exchange 2010 SP3 and redirected OWA I noticed something in OWA. I could add ANYONE's User Mailbox WITHOUT giving mailbox premission. I created a couple test users, same thing. I even had another employee provide me access to their OWA and they could open anyone's Inbox without granting permission. I don't want to play the blame game, but I was SHOCKED that this was going on. Luckly being such a small company I'll be able to cover this mistake that I did not create, BUT HOW? My guess is that I need to find out where the past System Admin went wrong in providing Full Access Permission? Or could this be a Auto-Mapping issue?   • Windows 7 Default Gateway problem

    I have a strange problem (or at least seems strange to me) the below are IP configurations for two laptops on my home network which consists of a main router 192.168.11.1 and a connected wireless router (i know this can cause problems but has always worked until I got the win7 machine) at 192.168.11.2 with DHCP disabled. Laptop 1 - Win XP IP: Dynamically assigned by main router default gateway: 192.168.11.1 (main router) This machine gets perfect connectivity. Laptop 2 - Win7 IP: dynamically assigned by main router Default Gateway: 192.168.11.2 THIS IS THE PROBLEM... I cannot seem to get this machine to default to the main router for the gateway UNLESS I go to a static configuration which I would rather not do since I regularly go between my home and public networks. Why is my Win7 machine not finding the main gateway the same way that the other laptop is? I believe that the rest of my setup is fine as it has always worked and it works perfectly when set as static ip and gateway. Please help! Thanks

    Given I have a group of commands such as: augroup MyGroup autocmd CursorMoved * silent call MyCommandOne() augroup END I want to disable all the autocommands in MyGroup for a time and then re-enable it later. Is there anything I can do with the group? Specifically, is there a way to disable the whole group at once? If not, what can I do to disable individual commands? Looking at the help, I only see a few options: augroup! will delete the whole group: I don't think this is right since I will want to re-enable it again. (But maybe there's a way to easily redefine the group again?) :noautocmd will only disable the callbacks for a one-off invocation of a command. (And it disables all autocmds, not specified ones) eventignore addresses the event binding, not the command: it sounds like it disables all bound commands for a given event, not just one command or a group I can specify. How is this done?
