    Hi, I'm trying to run http://github.com/tardate/rails-authlogic-rpx-sample (only rails version was changed) but get error message http://gist.github.com/385696, when RPX returns information after successful authentication via Google Account. What is wrong here? And how I can fix it? The code was successfully tested with rails 2.3.3 by its author: http://rails-authlogic-rpx-sample.heroku.com/ I run on Windows with cygwin and rails (2.3.5), rpx_now (0.6.20), authlogic_rpx (1.1.1).     Hi, I have been creating a thin browser client (on java) that sends an RTMP stream to a specified red5 instance. I also use RTMP Researcher to monitor the traffic and events that occur between the client and the server. Here is what I note: There is obviously a map with options that is being exchanged between the red5 instance and the client. I was wondering what are the possible values that could be put in such an optionsMap and where to obtain a list of them?

    How would I go about implementing a table view that looks and works something as illustrated in the link below, with UIKit for the iPhone? http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/4177/uifisheyeview.png I was thinking of using UITableView, and was looking a bit at the UITableViewDelegate methods tableView:willDisplayCell:forRowAtIndexPath: tableView:heightForRowAtIndexPath: But it seems as the UITableView will modify the cell frames after these methods are called and just before the cells are drawn? Maybe skipping the UITableView and go straight for some subclassing of a UIScrollView would be a better approach? So my question is basically that I would just like some overall thought in what might be the best ways to use existing UIKit components to implement this type of table view.

    Hello, I've downloaded Eclipse Classic 3.5 Galileo, the last version of Android SDK, downloaded and installed Eclipse Android 1.6 platform. I've created first (and the only) AVD with Android 1.6 and the default skin.     I have a UIPopoverController which I'm trying to show from a UIBarButtonItem in a navigation bar. Despite setting the resizing mask for the tableview inside the popover's content viewController, it takes up the whole height of the screen. The only thing which has any effect on the content size is menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRect. I'm using the code below to show the popover inside the left hand side of a UISplitViewController // menuPopover and editVc are properties on the parent viewController menuPopover = [[UIPopoverController alloc] initWithContentViewController:editVc]; [menuPopover presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:btnMenu permittedArrowDirections:UIPopoverArrowDirectionAny animated:true]; [menuPopover setPopoverContentSize:CGSizeMake(400, 500) animated:true]; [menuPopover.contentViewController.view setFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,400, 500)]; Yet this is what I'm seeing.   • OpenGL: small black pixel on top right corner of texture

    I wrote an uncompressed TGA texture loader and it works nearly perfect, except for the fact that there's just one TINY little black patch on the upper right and it's driving me mad. I can get rid of it by using a texture border, but somehow I think that's not the practical solution. Has anyone encountered this kind of problem before and knows -generally- what's going wrong when something like this happens, or should I post the image-loading function code?     Hi, I have a webpage underconstruction. I want to notify the people who visit it about its under-construction nature. For that I wanted to show a small transparent or transluscent page on the above page as shown here http://img17.imageshack.us/i/normalpagewithasmallpag.png/ You may notice that i want that page to appear at the center of the webpage overlayed on the original page with a cross at top-right corner. Clicking on that cross may close this small page revealing the page behind it so that the users may see what has been developed so far. I hope you guys have some suggestions for me.   • Win32 Window Menu is appearing along left side instead of across top of window

    I think I may be using a wrong window style or something or maybe just adding the menu to the window incorrectly.   • What has bigger priority: opacity or z-index in browsers?

    Hi, I'm coding a "popup window" in javascript and I've come across an interesting thing: http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/4761/error01cropped.png - the navy square under the popup window is visible even though I would expect it to be hidden. The popup was added after the square so it should be on the top. CSS opacity property of the navy square is 0.3 (from what I've tried it seems that every number from the interval (0,1) would yield the same result) if I change it to 1 then it behaves as expected (i.e. the part of the square under the popup is hidden). I've tried to use z-index property and set 10 for square and 100 for the popup but it doesn't change anything. What am I missing? Why is the part of square displayed? Thanks for help!

    I'm working on a 2D Platform game, and I was wondering what's the best (performance-wise) way to implement Surface (Collision) Detection. So far I'm thinking of constructing a list of level objects constructed of a list of lines, and I draw tiles along the lines. ( http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/1704/lines.png ). I'm thinking every object holds the ID of the surface that he walks on, in order to easily manipulate his y position while walking up/downhill. Something like this: //Player/MovableObject class MoveLeft() { this.Position.Y = Helper.GetSurfaceById(this.SurfaceId).GetYWhenXIs(this.Position.X) } So the logic I use to detect "droping/walking on surface" is a simple point (player's lower legs)-touches-line (surface) check (with some safety approximation - let`s say 1-2 pixels over the line). Is this approach OK? I`ve been having difficulty trying to find reading material for this problem, so feel free to drop links/advice.

  • How do I map a texture onto a Octahedron?

    I'm about to go mad. I cant for the life of me figure out texture coords. I have a Octahedron defined by the 8 triangles below. I want to map a texture of the earth on it.   • Controlling LaTeX column flow

    What I'm trying to do: I have a page that consists of pairs of two sentences each. The pairs are separated by a whole line break. My problem is that when I have an odd number of pairs, the second sentence will automatically be placed on the next column. How can I use LaTeX to make block structures that multicol does not ignore, to keep the two sentences together? If there's better code to solve this problem, or a better column implementation (though I don't believe I can use \twocolumn in the document declaration), please post it.   • Poor Transparency on Images

    I am having problems getting transparency to work well on an ImageView. The images at (http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/6233/whatn.png) were screen captured from a Droid (hdpi). The top image I made in Photoshop and left the background white. The bottom image is the same image with the background transparent and the layout's color (white) shows through. Whenever I have transparent backgrounds in images it dithers shadows like this. Also, it only happens on hdpi devices, on my G1 (mdpi) it looks just fine. What is going on? How can I make the bottom image look as good as the top one?

The reason I am doing this is for a VBulletin forum signature since it marquees left to right. I have tried editing the animation in Photoshop and I flipped the canvas to horizontal...
