  • Using zend studio with codeigniter

    I want to use Zend Studio for a project built on CodeIgniter. But I want to be able to use the debugging functionality of Zend. Because of that, I cant seem to get the debugger to work properly cause it doesnt "understand" codeigniter. So, in order for the setup to work, do I need to install Zend server, so that the debugging is done serverside? Can someone explain this to me a bit? Thank you.

  • To create an inbox like Gmail in jQuery, would something like the Accordion effect work for opening

    I've been looking for a pre-built jQuery component that I could use to build an inbox for a messaging application: http://jqueryui.com/demos/accordion/ I was thinking that if I could close all of the elements in the Accordion, that would be equivalent to showing a list of unopened messages when the user first logs into their Inbox. And then, by clicking on the leaves of the Accordion, they can see each message one by one. Is this a good idea or is there some other jQuery plugin that would work better for this type of functionality?

  • iPhone speech recognition API?

    The new iPhone 3GS has support for voice commands, stuff like "call Bill" or "play music by the strokes" and whatnot. I was looking through the iPhone SDK, but I cannot find any references to this capability. All of the search keywords I choose seem to only find the new voice chat functionality. Does anyone know whether Apple has added voice command APIs to the SDK, or whether it's yet another forbidden API? If it does exist, could someone point a particular class out to me?

  • Keep IIS 7 URL Rewrite module from matching /ScriptResource.axd

    I have a website and I have installed URL Rewrite using Web Platform Installer. I wish to allow a user friendly URL like www.foo.com/123456 to go to www.foo.com/page.aspx?blah=123456. Using the User-friendly URL template accomplishes this except that the created rule also matches all of the /scriptresource.axd?blahblah created by ASP.NET which of course breaks most functionality. My initial attempts to exclude the script resource files have failed. The regex generated by the tool is ^([^/]+)/?$

User should be able to add comments and NOT be able to change the text itself. Currently, RadEditor has a Preview mode, and i am looking on how to add commenting functionality through context menu or button. I'm looking for a class that provides functionality similar to System.Net.Sockets.Socket. Specifically, something resembling Poll/Select, so I can handle multiple sockets in a single thread without blocking. The mentalis security library supplies a SecureSocket class, but is explicitly unsupported for versions greater than .NET 1.1.

    In VS2008, it used to be that whenever I was typing an html attribute in an .aspx page when I hit '=' a pair of double quotes was automatically inserted and the cursor placed inside them. I guess I've changed a setting, but I don't know what to change to get that functionality back. I am using Resharper if it makes a difference.

    I have a program with two WPF treeviews that allow dragging and dropping between the two. The problem is, it can be annoying to open / close items on the treeviews because moving the mouse just one pixel while holding the left mouse button triggers the drag / drop functionality. Is there some way to specify how far the mouse should move before it's considered a drag / drop? Thanks!

    I've been following the Silverlight text editor sample with interest. It gives me a lot of functionality such as formatting, clipboard support, printing etc. The sample also allows for DataGrids to be inserted by using an InlineUiContainer. My problem is that the inserted DataGrid is disabled while my requirement is that the user can edit the contents of the DataGrid. How can I make InlineUiContainers that are inserted in a RichTextBox enabled?

    Coming from C++ it is hard grained into my mind that everytime I call new I call delete. In javascript I find myself calling new occasionally in my code but (hoping) the garbage collection functionality in the browser will take care of the mess for me. I don't like this - is there a 'delete' method in javascript and is how I use it different from in C++? Thanks.

    I have tried $('.selector').fancybox({ scrolling : 'no', titleShow : false, type : 'inline', content : '<p>hello</p>' But it did not work I have also tried adding the option onComplete: function() { $('#fancybox-inner').html(contents); } Except then when fancyBox is closed, it will not launch again. How can I dynamically set the contents of fancyBox, and retain all of it's functionality? Thanks

    What library can I use to calculate dates based on date expressions? A date expression would be something like: "+3D" (plus three days) "-1W" (minus one week) "-2Y+2D+1M" (minus 2 years, plus one day, plus one month) Example: DateTime EstimatedArrivalDate = CalcDate("+3D", DateTime.Now); Where estimated arrival date would equal the current date plus 3 days.     Is sIFR supposed to wrap around floating images? I have some headings next to a large image float:left and the image bumps the headline down below it. Headings that aren't beside floating images do wrap properly so the functionality is there, so my question is whether or not sIFR 3 text wraps beside floating images. Jeremy
