    Is there a way to only deploy cube schema, but without processing the cube. It seems in Visual Studio, when yo deploy a cube, by default, it is "Deploy and Process". The problem is processing takes so much time, and my main purpose is just writing some MDX script and see if it works well against the cube structure. It seems processing whole cube is just over kill. So I ask.

  • Strip OLE header information (MS Access / SQL Server)

    I have a C++ application that needs to support binary database content (images, etc). When using MS Access or MS SQL Server this data is wrapped inside an OLE object. How do I strip this OLE header information? Note that I can't just look for the beginning of a specific tag as the content can be png, jpg and a whole heap of other formats. Should I use something like COleDataObject?

    I notice that with MS Sync, going through the wizard to create the WCF service that will do the sync, you can only choose which table to sync. Is it possible to only sync a few columns of the table and not the entire table? It will also create the local sdf file with the whole table structure. I only need a few columns of the table to be displayed in my mobile device.

    I'm having a little trouble with my MySQL- Connection- Pooling. This is the case: Different jobs are scheduled via Quartz. All jobs connect to different databases which works fine the whole day while the nightly scheduled jobs fail with a CommunicationsException... Quartz-Jobs: Job1 runs 0 0 6,10,14,18 * * ? Job2 runs 0 30 10,18 * * ? Job3 runs 0 0 5 * * ? As you can see the last job runs at 18 taking about 1 hour to run. The first job at 5am is the one that fails. The most annoying thing is: The first job that runs first queries Database2 successfully but fails to query Database1 for some reason (CommunicationsException): Caused by: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: The last packet successfully received from the server was 39,376,539 milliseconds ago. The last packet sent successfully to the server was 39,376,539 milliseconds ago. is longer than the server configured value of 'wait_timeout'. You should consider either expiring and/or testing connection validity before use in your application, increasing the server configured values for client timeouts, or using the Connector/J connection property 'autoReconnect=true' to avoid this problem.     I would like to have two overlapping SlidingDrawers (spanning the whole application window) with their handles side by side so that the user can open both drawers easily. However, it seems that the handle is always positioned horizontally centered (for a vertical SlidingDrawer) so that the handles collide. I tried both FrameLayout and RelativeLayout for the parent, but layout options like android:layout_alignRight seem to be ignored for the handles.

    I have two views, one view takes the whole screen, the second view covers only a little portion. What I want is for that second view to be on the first view (which I already have done), but the problem is, when I set values (in this case UILabel's) the label on the screen doesn't display that new value. I know for a fact the method gets called, but for some reason it won't change the label's value.

    I'm playing around trying to write a client for a site which provides data as an HTTP stream (aka HTTP server push). However, urllib2.urlopen() grabs the stream in its current state and then closes the connection. I tried skipping urllib2 and using httplib directly, but this seems to have the same behaviour. Is there a way to get the stream to stay open, so it can be checked each program loop for new contents, rather than waiting for the whole thing to be redownloaded every few seconds, introducing lag?

Now every browser does it perfectly. even IE6! (didnt do pngfix yet). The only one who is having problems is IE7 who shifts the whole navbar element to the right. Anyone knows how this is possible?
