• Tablet with Dedicated Graphics

  What would be the best tablet PC with dedicated graphics. I can find a few, but most seem to be from around 2006-07. Is there anything newer that has both the tablet-based swivel screen and a non-integrated graphics board? Thanks.

• OpenSSH does not accept public key?

  I've been trying to solve this for a while, but I'm admittedly quite stumped. I just started up a new server and was setting up OpenSSH to use key-based SSH logins, but I've run into quite a dilemma. All the guides are relatively similar, and I was following them closely (despite having done this once before). I triple checked my work to see if I would notice some obvious screw up - but nothing is apparent. As far as I can tell, I haven't done anything wrong (and I've checked very closely). If it's any help, on my end I'm using Cygwin and the server is running Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. • Create Templates folder in Windows 7 profile

  I'd like to create a Templates folder in my profile on Windows 7, but there's already a junction to AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates. I assume this is a system configuration so I don't want to delete it. I'm currently calling my folder File Templates, but that seems to verbose to me. Is there anything I can do?

  I've set up openvpn on my pi and am running into a small issue. I can connect to the VPN server and ping it just fine, and I can also connect to other machines on my local network. • "error module dav_svn does not exist"

  I accidentally deleted the mod_svn on my webserver, and now I am stuck. Everything I try to do anything with it (remove it or reinstall it with apt-get), I get that message and apt fails. I know I could reinstall Apache, but I am trying to avoid that at all costs (unless I can do it in such a way that would keep my config files). Any ideas on how to deal with this?

• PHP scripts owned by www-data

  I am always running php scripts on a dedicated server as user "webroot". It would be easier for coding and administration if the scripts were owned by www-data, the apache2 user. Also feels more simple and clean. There is no ftp on this box and there are no other users or sites. Why not have the php scripts owned by www-data? If there is anything against it, what is the worst that can happen?

  I couldn't find anything much about this, but I'm interested what are pros and cons (if any) in using /etc/services for in-house software? On my Linux distro (Ubuntu 14.04) at the end of /etc/services is a comment: # Local services hinting that it could be a good thing to do. One thing that comes to mind is that having in-house ports in /etc/services would make serv database a reference point for common knowledge and much better source of default ports for applications throughout the system.

• Why does my MacBook Pro trackpad sometimes set its tracking speed to slow, all by itself?

  Every now and then, the trackpad on my MacBook Pro will seem to set its own tracking speed to slow. I’ll notice that the cursor is moving slowly, and when I check in System Preferences, the tracking speed is indeed at slow, even though I never set it to slow myself. This might happen before/after switching into a VMWare virtual machine, but I’m not sure. It doesn’t seem to happen on startup or anything, just during use. Anyone else seen this?

• How to recover MySQL database from .mysql file?

  We had some problems with our MySQL server and somehow all I've got is a database.mysql file for the database I want to restore. I've done a bit of googleing but I didn't find anything about how should I handle this type of file. It's worth mentioning that the server was running Plesk and the database wasn't using InnoDB.   Guys, feature in new release of Visual Studio which is block/region highlighting, I think is quite useless, and definitely frustrating when every time my cursor passes this line my whole region is being highlighted.   Why would BitDefender Bootable Rescue CD (and loads of other Rescue CDs too) be able to identify but unable to fix or delete malware? It can however put it into quarintine. And what happens when the viruses are put into quarintine? It dosn't really mean anything if it can successfully put the malware into quarintine if it's a CD-bootable OS. It's only quarintined in the context of the memory it exists in. When I restart windows, I'm still infected with loads of viruses. Thanks Dave

It is the most complex of the applications, but is not doing anything extraordinary. It relies on ASP.NET Cache quite heavily, but we have limited the amount of memory it is allowed to use. Will be doing this on a Saturday night to, leases renew every 24 hours so by Monday morning all the machines will have valid DHCP leases with correct DNS servers. Have a list of all machines on static IP so I know to update them while I'm at it.

• Problems updating to Windows 8.1

  yesterday I attempted to upgrade to windows 8.1 from windows 8. My brother downloaded it on his computer the day before then. I got it from the Windows store. It downloaded and prompted me to restart so I did. It just had the windows 8 loading screen with the HP sign above it, no percentages or anything else, I waited for about 2 hours and while I was waiting I did some research. After reading I saw it could take 20 minutes to an hour to update, but it had already been 2 hours. I read another article and it said someone restarted their computer and it restored to windows 8.0. That's what I did and it worked. So I tried again and the same thing happens, so instead of waiting I decided I would just restart it again. I tried again and this time it showed a percentage it said,"Setting Up" After it reached 100% it went back to what happened before HP sign and just loaded again, I thought it would be different this time because it did show percentages. I waited an hour and nothing happened so I restarted the computer again. This time when I restarted it, it didn't restore, so I turned the laptop of for around 30 minutes turned it back on and it said,"Attempting to restore to previous version of Windows" It said that for around 10 minutes and it restored, so I shut downed my computer for an hour and did some more research, later I found that I needed to update my drivers my drivers we're updated so I did some more research after this I saw I needed to search for updates via: SettingsChange PC settingsWindows Update. It said I already had automatic updates on, I decided to check for updates and it said there was one update scheduled for Saturday. I didn't think this could change anything so I updated what I could. I tried to install it again it was around 11:30 last night when it was done downloading and it prompted me to restart but I had gone to sleep. I woke up today and saw it showed the HP sign and loaded again. I tried restarting it again but this didn't work I had to shut it of for 30 minutes and try again and it worked. So now I'm posting this seeing If I can get any help with this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
