• How To Configure Fields To Display In Ubercart Product Node

  Hi I have set up ubercart on a site and everything seems ok when adding products and viewing the catalog page however when I click on the product the product view does not include the product image or the price. I have have enabled all fields in admin/store/settings/products/edit/fields however this does not seem to change anything (SKU etc not displayed either, only description, size options, add to cart button and link to category) Can anyone suggest why these may not be showing, Am I looking at completely the wrong config screen? • Changing gmail Settings with Ruby

  I need to configure my gmail account(s) programmatically with Ruby. I checked out the apps api and it looks like the simplest possible solution would be to use ClientLogin for logging in and a simple XML PUT for changing the forwarding setting, for example. I wrote a little test script like so: http://gist.github.com/373457 It would appear that the call to ClientLogin works because it comes back with an Auth= token. When it sends the PUT request to google, however, it comes back with a RestClient::Unauthorized exception. I rewrote the script with pure net/https and it turns out the message I'm getting is invalid token, yet I can't figure out what is wrong with my token. Can anyone else see it?

• On Linux, how do I run a GUI app from a terminal shell under a different login?

  Here's the deal. I logged into a Linux box (CentOS, but that shouldn't matter) as user A. I had to build a program as user B, so I started up a terminal shell, logged into that shell as B, and built it. When I try to run the app, I get this message: "connect to ":0.0" refused by server" Most likely because the current X Windows session is owned by user A, and as B, I don't have permissions to access A's stuff. Is there a correct way to solve this. Any incorrect ways?

• Zend Framework: How to display multiple actions, each requiring different authorizations levels, on

  Imagine I have 4 database tables, and an interface that presents forms for the management of the data in each of these tables on a single webpage (using the accordion design pattern to show only one form at a time). Each form is displayed with a list of rows in the table, allowing the user to insert a new row or select a row to edit or delete. AJAX is then used to send the request to the server. A different set of forms must be displayed to different users, based on the application ACL. My question is: In terms of controllers, actions, views, and layouts, what is the best architecture for this interface? For example, so far I have a controller with add, edit and delete actions for each table. There is an indexAction for each, but it's an empty function. I've also extended Zend_Form for each table. To display the forms, I then in the IndexController pass the Forms to it's view, and echo each form. Javascript then takes care of populating the form and sending requests to the appropraite add/edit/delete action of the appropriate controller. This however doesn't allow for ACL to control the display or not of Forms to different users. Would it be better to have the indexAction instantiate the form, and then use something like $this-render(); to render each view within the view of the indexAction of the IndexController? Would ACL then prevent certain views from being rendered? Cheers.

• How do I prevent Window resizing when the Workstation is Locked then Unlocked?

  We have an application that is run in multi-monitor environments. Users normally have the application dialog spread out to span multiple mointors. If the user locks the workstation, and then unlocks it, our application is told to resize. Our users find this behavior frustrating, as they then spend some time restoring the previous layout. We're not yet sure whether it is the graphics driver requesting the resize or Windows. Hopefully through this question, it will become clearer which component is responsible, Popular applications like (File) Explorer and Firefox behave the same way in this setup. To replicate just: open Explorer (Win+E) drag the Explorer window to being horizontally larger than 1 screen lock workstation (Win+L), unlock the application should now resize to being solely on 1 screen How do I prevent Window resizing when the Workstation is Locked then Unlocked? Will we need to code in checks for (un)locking? Is there another mechanism we're not aware of?

• Can't display image with Imageview on Android

  In my \drawable-mdpi folder, I have an image named: test.jpg In my main.xml file, in my LinearLayout section, I have: <ImageView android:id="@+id/test_image" android:src="@drawable/test" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> In my src folder, I have only 1 file, HelloAndroidActivity.java with only the following method: public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); ImageView image = new ImageView(this); image = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.test_image); setContentView(image); } This seems to be correct, yet whenever I try to run it, I get The application HelloAndroid (process xxxxx) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. The strange part is it previously did display the image, but now it won't and I don't know why. Also, when I comment out the ImageDisplay code, and replace it with TextDisplay code. i.e. TextView tv = new TextView(this); tv.setText("Does this work?"); setContentView(tv); It does display the text. • Edit Settings in web.config

  I didn't know how to title this question - I am making a request to PayPal's Express Payment API. I am using their dll that helps make the request and parse the response. The instructions for their code to work is to add you authorization credentials in the web.config file. I have done so. My problem is that I want to be able to edit these credentials that are being set dynamically ( probably get from SQL ) because we are going to allow different users to enter their API credentials. Sending the request to PayPal looks like this Dim wrapper As New SetExpressCheckoutReq() wrapper.SetExpressCheckoutRequest = request Dim service As New PayPalAPIInterfaceServiceService() Dim setECResponse As SetExpressCheckoutResponseType = service.SetExpressCheckout(wrapper) There's not much room in there to edit the header of the request , because PayPalAPIInterfaceServiceService() is defined in their dll and applies its own header based on the credentials in the web.config. So, my question is , is there a way to point in the web.config to another location when it looks in web.config? I'm not to sure this is possible , also is there any way to edit the header of a request that is defined in a dll without changing the dll (to stay pci compliant) The line in the web.config is here: <account apiUsername="****" apiPassword="****" apiSignature="****"/>

  The beginnings of a site here: http://qaa.miltonfame.org/ html and css pass validation tests Page displays fine in all Mac browsers I have tried (Safari, Firefox, Camino) Page displays fine in Windows 7 FireFox Nothing but background renders in Explorer 8 Windows 7 (and in other Explorer versions via screenshot services.) View Source shows that Explorer is getting the content - it's just not appearing on screen. No idea how to approach addressing this - any suggestions would REALLY be appreciated. Thanks a million.

• Settings cell selected background view removes backgroundview

Many forums says its not good to keep a higher value (security issues) but I don't want to consider that right now.   Hi I'm inserting an image from the camera (Taking a picture) into the MediaStore.Images.Media datastore. Does anyone know how I can go about displaying the last picture taken? I used Uri image = ContentUris.withAppendedId(externalContentUri, 45); to display an image from the datastore but obviously 45 is not the correct image. I try to pass the information from the previous activity (Camera) to the display activity but I'm assuming due to the photo call back being its own thread the value never gets set.   I am trying to send a multi part formdata post through my java code. Can someone tell me how to set Content Length in the following?? There seem to be headers involved when we use InputStreamBody which implements the ContentDescriptor interface. Doing a getContentLength on the InputStreamBody gives me -1 after i add the content. I subclassed it to give contentLength the length of my byte array but am not sure if other headers required by ContentDescriptor will be set for a proper POST. • Do you have to call .Save() when modifying a application setting that is bound to a control property

  I am programming in .NET I have an application setting of type string. On my form I have a textbox. I bound the text property of the textbox to my application setting. If I type something in the textbox it changes the value that is held in the Application setting but the next time I start the program it goes back to the default value. Do I need to call Properties.Settings.Default.Save(); after the text is entered for the new value to be saved? Shouldn't it do this automatically? Is there a way I can make it do it automatically?

  SOmewhat related to Doing calculations in MySQL vs PHP Right now, our database assumes that the system time is in UTC and uses that to calculate NOW(). PHP explicitly sets the timezone as UTC (so its impervious to server time zone shifts). An accidental shift of timezones on the server messed this relationship up at the database level and i'm now trying to figure out the ideal congiguration: configure Mysql to be in UTC, but also from the perspective that: our application may be on someone else's server where they might have a different TZ (so i cant set the timezone at the mysql/server level). How do i configure it at the specific database level?

I want to display the % of data sent but when I use ObjectOutputStream.write() it just writes to the buffer, does not wait until the data has actually been sent. How can I achieve this. Perhaps I need to use thread synchronization or something. Any clues would be most helpful. • What is the best practice for reading a large number of custom settings from a text file?

  So I have been looking through some code I wrote a few years ago for an economic simulation program. Each simulation has a large number of settings that can be saved to a file and later loaded back into the program to re-run the same/similar simulation. Some of the settings are optional or depend on what is being simulated. The code to read back the parameters is basically one very large switch statement (with a few nested switch statements). I was wondering if there is a better way to handle this situation. One line of the settings file might look like this: #RA:1,MT:DiscriminatoryPriceKDoubleAuction,OF:Demo Output.csv,QM:100,NT:5000,KP:0.5 //continues...
