  I'm facing a problem with IIS Pool Identity. I need to give right permissions to it user, but i cannot find the user that is setted to the IIS Pool Identity, that is ApplicationPoolIdentity. I find the user NetworkService that is a possible user to IIS Pool Identity. There is any problem or anything that i have to consider after change the IIS Pool Identity to NetworkService? OBS: I'm using Windows 7 (IIS 7.5)

• Nagios Statistics for Notifications/Alerts

  We have had our Nagios installation up for a year, and we are now required to give some statistics on how much it has worked and what it has done in the environment. As such, I was wondering if anyone knows if Nagios also holds data records on how many alerts and notifications it sends out? I am not necessarily looking for reports on what it alerted on, but just some raw statistics for a powerpoint. TL:DR Can I extract how many notifications and alerts Nagios has produced in it's existence or between certain dates?

• ldapsearch will not output anything without -D rootdn

  My installation and setup of slapd 2.4.21 is done on Ubuntu 10.04 according to the official doc. Now ldapsearch -x will give me nothing, but ldapsearch -x -Drootdn -w rootpw will output everything. I do have olcAccess: to * by dn="cn=Manager,dc=a,dc=b" write by * read in the backend configuration. What's wrong? "getent passwd testuser" output nothing, must be due to it. • Windows 7: Menu 'New->Text document' is missing, when not admin user

  Hi, when I'm logged in as a user that is not member of the administrator group the entry to create a new textfile is missing from the right click "New" menu. If I give the user admin rights or start the explorer with admin rights the "New - text document" menu entry magically appears. As far as I can see the registry entries are correct. Anybody got a solution for that side effect of beeing a normal user in windows?? Regards

I have been able to successfully use ffmpeg to stream to other RTMP servers like youtube, but how do I go about hosting my own on my RTMP server locally? I have tried looking into ffserver, but is this what I need to create a local RTMP server? If so could someone give me basic syntax or examples to get it working? Thanks for any information.

• Why is it called Windows Server 2008 R2? Why not simply call it Windows Server 2010?

  Is there any way I could sum up the lowest 100 values within a range? I know that min() would give you the lowest value but i need something to return the 100 lowest values. I just used 100 hypothetically to make it easier to understand what I'm trying to achieve.   Hi, since Teamspeak version 3 sends lots of packets per user and our provider is getting problems with his infrastructure above 20.000 packets per second we have to limit it that our servers are not going to be shut down. Red a lot about iptables but was not able to find the right rules. Could you give me an advise how to manage that the server is not going to send more than 19k packets per seconds?   i was always wondering how many simaltinues users can a 3G tower supports with its data rates? i mean they advertize 28.8Mb/Sec for the 3G Data but in reallity if a lot of people use it say 10 , it wont give 288Mb/Sec bandwidth. i didnt find anywhere where such information is published so i thought to ask here. dont know why the cell operators keep it such a secret :)

However there is no *.hdr files so I can't extact the CAB files using tools on Internet, even though the package is still able to be installed without any error.   Running FSUtil 8Dot3Name Scan /v /s C: gives you a list of potential 8.3 paths in the registry that are referring to your file system, but is there any tool that can actually convert those paths to long paths in the registry? I do understand this could break some programs, but I have backups so I'd be willing to give it a try. (I tried to make a tool like this myself, but it's harder than it looks, because of false positives and all the varieties of ways the path could be embedded.)

And of course through the 'ovw' GUI interface. I've tried to use Mechanize and selenium2(webdriver) to automatize some checks.   LS, I am using IIS7 with PHP (FastCGI). I set up the upload_tmp_dir to "X:\Temp" instead of leaving it empty, but it's still using "C:\Windows\Temp" for some reason. • How can I force a MySQL table to become corrupted?

  I have written a simple Nagios plugin that calls mysqlcheck (which checks for corrupted tables) and will give a warning if any are corrupt. However none of my tables are corrupt now. So I'm not 100% sure that my plugin is working fine. I have a dev server that's not misson critical. How can I force one (or any) of the tables there to be corrupt so that I can test my nagios alert? For the record the server is Ubuntu Dapper and the mysql is version 5.0

• Dynamips and Tap Devices, To and From the same machine

  I am setting up a dynamips/dynagen lab and am wondering if there is any way to get traffic to route out one tap devices, go into the lab, and come back to a tap device on the same machine. I have tried host specific routes as well as removing the route created when I give the tun device an ip via ifconfig. With both of these, traffic always preferes the attached devices and won't go through my lab. Any way to make this work without a separate machine or vm?

  Is it possible DHCP client check the contents of an option ? I need provisioning a Linux server with DHCP option 140 (option-140). But the server behaves as if the DHCP did not contain the information. In the file /var/lib/dhcp/dhclient.eth0.leases I do not see advanced DHCP options (option-140, option-141, option-142). • How to get Faster RDP

  We are using Win 2008 R2 and connecting to it from Win7 boxes. The RDP is faster then before but we want to know if their are any other solutions that will make it faster. Due to licensing issue we got a software that multiple people need to access (not all at the same time) and the only way i can find is to install on a server and give RDP access to users.
