  I have SSRS 2008 setup on the database server. The server is part of the domain. Reporting Services is running under NetworkService. When I try to add a domain user using the web interface (Site Settings -- Security -- New Role Assignment), the page posts back but the user is not in the list.   So today I downloaded Apache Commons Lang library (binary, zip format). I extracted it to C:\eclipse\commons-lang-2.5 folder. There are a commons-lang-2.5.jar, a commons-lang-2.5-javadoc.jar, and a commons-lang-2.5-sources.jar inside, and a folder for HTML Javadoc. I started Eclipse, added commons-lang-2.5.jar, and set its source and Javadoc respectively as the screenshot below. My question is, is there a convenient or standard way to add external libraries? Or am I actually doing the right thing?

  Hi. In the "Regular Expression Editor" dialog in VS 2008 ( or 2005 for this matter ) , there is a list of "standard expressions" like : "French phone number" , "French postal code" etc.. And of course there is an option to select a "Custom" and then enter your own regular expression. Well.. I want to add a predefined expressions to that list . Like : "Israeli phone number" . I don't want to enter it every time by selecting a custom value . I want my developers in the team available items for them to choose. Anyone knows how to alter that list ? I've found some question about it on the web - and the answer given is that it's not possible . But that was at 2004. Anyone ?!?! Thanks.

  Hai, I wrote the coding for add / remove the default documents of IIS7 in vb.net 2.0 windows application using Microsoft.Web.Administration.dll. The coding is working fine. After adding a new document, the messagebox showing that newly added document name. Simillarly if I remove any document, the messagebox not showing that document name. So that I am saying, the coding is working fine. Now the problem is, I can't see the newly added document name in II7 Manager GUI. The next proplem is, my website not access that newly added document. Please can any body suggest for these problems. What the mistake I did the vb.net 2.0 windows application coding and what are the modifications I need to do? Thanks in advance.

  I'd like to measure the performance of some code blocks in my c# winforms application. In particular I want to measure performance regression/improvement after some restructuring of the code. So long I've seen the System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch. However, I want to avoid writing measuring code into my classes, I would rather prefer to separate measuring from actual code. As for debugging, you can set breakpoints on several code lines and "jump" from one to the next by "Continue Execution", I imagine something similar for measuring: Mark to lines of code and make Visual Studio display the time elapsing from one to the next. Is there any feature/add-in in that direction?

  Hi, I'm trying to use vssadd task to add a tree of source files to a recent created project on VSS. But it happens to be adding only the folder tree, all files missing. <vsscp vsspath="$/DEV/APL_${version}" ssdir="${vssapl}" serverPath="${vsssvr}"/> The vssadd task displays the name of the folders it's creating: ... (vssadd) $/DEV/APL_0.0.10c/src/domain: (vssadd) $/DEV/APL_0.0.10c/src/mbeans: (vssadd) $/DEV/APL_0.0.10c/src/service: ... The script runs successfully but the files never get in the repository. Trying to use wilcards are no good, the task says it found no matching files and ss returns with a code of 100: <vssadd ssdir="${vssapl}" localPath="C:\Workspace\APL_Build*.*" recursive="true" serverPath="${vsssvr}" comment="Build ${versao} at ${to.timestamp}"/ I've noticed that vssadd does not accept fileset tag either, so I'm kind of lost here.   My company has two development teams using TFS 2008. My team would like to migrate our .Net 3.5 app to the .Net 4.0 framework, but the company is not ready to upgrade TFS to TFS 2010. Can we still use TFS 2008's team build system but with a Visual Studio 2010 solution/project structure that targets the .Net 4.0 framework? I am thinking we would need to add a new build agent to TFS 2008 that would have VS 2010 installed. But I am not finding any information on how to do this. Is this possible? Are there any articles explaining how to do this?

  Lets say I have the following array: my_array = [1, 5, 8, 11, -6] I need to iterate over this array and add the values prior to the current value together. An example will probably be easier to understand. I need to return an array that should look something like this: final_array = [1, 6, 14, 25, 19] I have tried doing something like this: my_array.collect {|value| value + previous_values } But obviously that doesn't work because I can't figure out how to get the previous values in the array. I am a programming noob so this might be easier than I am making it. I am pretty sure I need to use either collect or inject, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
