  Hi I've just started learning rails and been going through some tutorials from learning rails (http://www.buildingwebapps.com/podcasts/79335-putting-the-page-contents-into-the) The tutorials appear to be Rails v2 and I'm on Rails v3 There is a line in the routes file which appears to be causing a problem map.view_page ':name', :controller => 'viewer', :action => 'show' The line works for the front end view i.e. my viewer controller but not for the back end I get the error NoMethodError in Viewer#show I think this has something to do with the view I am using and the line <%= @page.body %> I know it's difficult without the full code but if anyone can help that would be awesome

• Issue with transparent texture on 3D primitive, XNA 4.0

  I need to draw a large set of cubes, all with (possibly) unique textures on each side. Some of the textures also have parts of transparency. The cubes that are behind ones with transparent textures should show through the transparent texture. However, it seems that the order in which I draw the cubes decides if the transparency works or not, which is something I want to avoid. It produces this result: As you can see, the textures behind the leaf cube are not visible on the other side. When i reverse index 3 and 0 on in the array, I get this: It is clear that the order of drawing is affecting the cubes. I suspect it may have to do with the blend mode, but I have no idea where to start with that.

• Issue changing innodb_log_file_size

  I haven't done much tweaking in the past so this might be relatively easy however I am running into issues. This is what I do: Stop MySQL Edit my.cnf (changing innodb_log_file_size) Remove ib_logfile0/1 Start MySQL Starts fine however all InnoDB tables have the .frm file is invalid error, the status shows InnoDB engine is disabled so I obviously go back, remove the change and everything works again. I was able to change every other variable I've tried but I can't seem to find out why InnoDB fails to start even after removing the log files. Am I missing something? Thanks. Edit: Pasting of the log below - looks like it still seems to find the log file even though they are not there? In auto generated manifest file contains, ( i was using MS VC++ 2008 Express Edition) In side by side(winsxs) directory, there are three version on msvcr90.dll. my.dll started to using only the latest version of msvcr90.dll (9.0.30729.4148). Here in below topics i need the help: 1) my.dll is using only the latest version of msvcr90.dll . if i tried to make this dll as old. My application fails to start. How to make contidion that my.dll should refer only to the version which i mentioned in manifest file. 2) how can i tell my.dll should dependent on the msvcr90.dll which i providing in the local directory along with my.dll. I want to restrict my my.dll should not do search in the system directory for the msvcr90.dll.

• GetBytes Issue in Loading External Flash

  I'm trying to debug a gallery section within a site of mine. Currently the section display a number of thumbnails which visitor select one to view. Once selected, the main flash loads in an external swf. To make the process smoother, I have a preloader for this process using normal getbytes codes. However for some reasons, the flash works fine in IE but not in Firefox or Chrome. In these browsers, as soon as you click the thumbnail, the preloader animated away to reveal the holder of the external swf. However as it is still loading, the holder is a blank area. Would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on why this is so.

• Wordpress paths issue

  I have set a crawler up in wordpress which grabs stocks data and writes to file which when a user enters a symbol/ticker the variable is read and if it matches the data of a previous crawl for that particular companies data will echo the text file on page, if no data is found the crawler then sets off grabs it and writes to file to save for the next time that symbol is used. The problem im having is that everything works groovey apart from one thing, when the content is written to file it saves it in the WP root and not inside a subfolder of the theme, basicaly this means that root becomes untidy very quickly and also should the theme be used on another site then its not practical as some important info is missing. I have tried bloginfo and absolute both return the same failure. • issue of JSTL forEach iterate from arrayList

  In my code, I have used ArrayList which stores the number format like '$0.00 to $1,000,000.00' in each index of array list. while iterate in JSP through tag, its values are printing like $0.00 to $1 as a first string, 000 as a second string and 000.00 as a thrid string. but it has to print like '$0.00 to $1,000,000.00'. what will be the problem is? • issue running a batch script to kill a process

  I am using the following script on a command line to kill a hypothetical notepad process (using a Korn shell in Windows XP, if that matters): kill $(tasklist | grep -i notepad.exe | awk '{print 2}') Now I take this line, and put it into a batch file c:\temp\testkill.bat, thinking that I should just as well be able to kill the process by running the batch file. However, when I run the batch file, I get the following awk error about unbalanced parentheses: C:/Temp ./testkill.bat C:\Tempkill $(tasklist | grep -i notepad.exe | awk '{print $2}') awk: unbalanced () Context is: {print $2}) <<< C:/Temp So I'm baffled as to why I am getting this error about unbalanced parentheses when I run this script via a batch file, but have no issues when I run the command directly from the command line? (Btw, I'm not necessarily tied to this way of killing a process - as a total noob to shell scripting, I am additionally wondering why if I write the following on the command line: tasklist | grep -i notepad.exe | awk '{print $2}' | kill the process ID that comes out of the tasklist/grep/awk calls doesn't seem to properly get piped to kill...)
