  • db2 jdbc driver does not release table locks

    situation: We have a web service running on tomcat accessing DB2 database on AS400, we are using JTOPEN drivers for JNDI connections handled by tomcat. For handling transactions and access to database we are using Spring. For each select system takes JDBC connection from JNDI (i.e. from connection pool), does selection, and in the end it closes ResultSet, Statement and releases Connection in that order. That passes fine, shared lock on table dissappears. When we want to do update the same way as we did with select (exception on ResultSet object, we don't have one in such situation), after releasing Connection to JNDI lock on table stays. If we put maxIdle=0 for number of connections in JNDI configuration, this problem disappears, but this degrades performances, we have cca 100 users online on that service, we need few connections to be alive in pool. What do you suggest?

In this I want a folder for each month like "Jan10", "Feb10"....."Dec10" In each month folder I want to create folder for "Todays date" I have create a shortcut for that 2010 folder with Target as C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n, /e, /select, F:\2010 I want a functionality that will execute when I click the shortcut for f:\2010 icon. Any pointer would be great help.

  • C release dynamically allocated memory

    I have defined function, which returns multidimensional array. allocation for rows arr = (char **)malloc(size); allocation for columns (in loop) arr[i] = (char *)malloc(v); and returning type is char** Everything works fine, except freeing the memory. If I call free(arr[i]) and/or free(arr) on array returned by function, it crashes.     I'm working through a book on Ruby, and the author used a slightly different form for writing a class initialization definition than he has in previous sections of the book. It looks like this: class Ticket attr_accessor :venue, :date def initialize(venue, date) self.venue = venue self.date = date end end In previous sections of the book, it would've been defined like this: class Ticket attr_accessor :venue, :date def initialize(venue, date) @venue = venue @date = date end end Is there any functional difference between using the setter method, as in the first example vs. using the instance variable in the second? They both seem to work. Even mixing them up seems to work: class Ticket attr_accessor :venue, :date def initialize(venue, date) @venue = venue self.date = date end end

  • Finding latest release links on website for C++ Application

    Basically I have written a game plugin that will allow server admins to update their administration tools from within game rather than having to go download it and install it. The releases are updated regularly, and the beta versions are nightly builds. I am trying to find a way to grab the links from the website, but I cannot think of anyway to do this off of the top of my head. Was hoping someone here might be able to suggest something that would work. http://www.sourcemod.net/snapshots.php Thats the website, basically I am trying to grab the links for the latest stable branch, and latest development branch.

  • Any recommended VC++ settings for better PDB analysis on release builds

    Are there any VC++ settings I should know about to generate better PDB files that contain more information? I have a crash dump analysis system in place based on the project crashrpt. Also, my production build server has the source code installed on the D:\, but my development machine has the source code on the C:\. I entered the source path in the VC++ settings, but when looking through the call stack of a crash, it doesn't automatically jump to my source code. I believe if I had my dev machine's source code on the D:\ it would work.
