  • Can I use a attribute to make .net impersonate another user?

    - by Rising Star
    I am familiar with impersonating an account in .net by using: dim myIdentity as WindowsIdentity = someIdentity using ctx as WindowsImpersonationContext = myIdentity.Impersonate() doStuff() end using Is it possible to define a .net attribute so that I could write something like: < runAsUser(someIdentity) public sub doStuff() and then have the .net framework always impersonate when running the method doStuff()?

  • Android - Add other values to websettings settextsize

    - by user1681477
    In my application I am using a webview, and in order to increase/decrease text size, I am using WebSettings().setTextSize method, but, this method is limited to 5 predefined enum sizes only (SMALLEST, SMALLER, NORMAL, LARGER,LARGEST). I know I can use WebSettings().setTextZoom(int), but my application is available for API Level 8 and above, and this method was introduced in API Level 14... My question is: Is there any way to add other sizes to webSettings().setTextSize? maybe by extending textSize enum, or define other sizes?

  • MySQLi - declaring variable after bind_param?

    - by Kerry
    This may be a completely dumb question, but I've seen a couple examples declaring the variables AFTER putting them in bind_param: http://devzone.zend.com/article/686 I've never seen this done before and all my programming knowledge says I should define them before hand. Is this a valid/preferred way?

    Hi can someone help me making a queue program. i want to set the array[0] to be array[1] just in display but in real i am adding value at array[0]. i got how to run the add function to it. but i can't do the view and delete command that will view from ex. array[0] to array[4], when displayed array[1] to array[5] with the value inserted. #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #define p printf #define s scanf int rear = 0; int front = 0; int *q_array = NULL; int size = 0; main() { int num, opt; char cont[] = { 'y' }; clrscr(); p("Queue Program\n\n"); p("Queue size: "); s("%d", &size); p("\n"); if(size > 0) { q_array = malloc(size * sizeof(int)); if(q_array == NULL) { p("ERROR: malloc() failed\n"); exit(2); } } else { p("ERROR: size should be positive integer\n"); exit(1); } while((cont[0] == 'y') || (cont[0] == 'Y')) { clrscr(); p("Queue Program"); p("\n\nQueue size: %d\n\n", size); p("MAIN MENU\n1. Add\n2. Delete\n3. View"); p("\n\nYour choice: "); s("%d", &opt); p("\n"); switch(opt) { case 1: if(rear==size) { p("You can't add more data"); } else { p("Enter data for Queue[%d]: ", rear+1); s("%d", &num); add(num); } break; case 2: delt(); break; case 3: view(); break; } p("\n\nDo you want to continue? (Y\/N)"); s("%s", &cont[0]); } } add(int a) { q_array[rear]=a; rear++; } delt() { if(front==rear) { p("Queue Empty"); } else { p("Queue[%d] = %d removed.", front, q_array[front]); front++; } } view() { int i; for(i=front;i<=rear;i++) p("\nQueue[%d] = %d", i, q_array[i]); }

  • How do I generate a RouteLink to a route in a different area?

    - by Max Schmeling
    I have two different areas, and I have a route in one of those areas that is specific to that area, but I need to generate a link to that route using Html.RouteLink from another area (it's how you get over into the new area) but it won't work... It doesn't seem possible to use RouteLink to routes in a different area. What is the best way around this? Should I just define a new route in the other area and name it differently?

  • how does sizeof work with array in C++

    - by skydoor
    Hi, I was told the array name is a pointer char a[] = "a" but when sizeof(a) = 2 why not it is a size of pointer here? however when I define it like this char* a ="a"; we get sizeof(a) =4; Well, I think I need more information about how does sizeof work with the array names.... Can anyone elaborate that?

  • when to use const char *

    - by djones2010
    If i have a function api that expects a 14 digit input and returns a 6 digit output. I basically define the input as a const char *. would that be the correct and safe thing to do? also why would I not want to just do char * which I could but it seems more prudent to use const char * in that case especially since its an api that i am providing. so for different input values I generate 6 digit codes.

  • Trivial Q about redefinition.

    - by Knowing me knowing you
    Why this isn't allowed: int a = 0; int a = 0; but this is: for (int i = 0; i < 2; ++i) { int a = 0; } As far as I know code inside for loop will be executed twice whitout actually going out of its scope, so it should also be an error to define a twice. Looking forward to your answers Thanks.

  • Safe division function

    - by bugspy.net
    I would like to define some kind of safe division (and modulo) function, one that would return some predefined value when attempting to divide by zero. I don't want to throw exceptions, just to return some "reasonable" value (1? 0?) and continue the program flow. Obviously there is no correct return value, but I wonder if there is some standard or known approach to this

  • g++ creates several symbols of a const ?

    - by nissen
    In one of my header (C++) files I changed #define TIMEOUT 10 to the more(?) C++ way: const int TIMEOUT = 10; It seems however, g++(v 4.4.3) now includes this symbol several times in the binary. $ nm -C build/ipd/ipd |head 08050420 T ToUnixTime 08050470 T ParseTime 080504c0 T ParseISOTime 080518e4 r TIMEOUT 080518ec r TIMEOUT 080518f4 r TIMEOUT 080518fc r TIMEOUT 080503e0 T HandleMessage How come ?

  • Database Design Question

    - by Soo
    Ok SO, I have a user table and want to define groups of users together. The best solution I have for this is to create three database tables as follows: UserTable user_id user_name UserGroupLink group_id member_id GroupInfo group_id group_name This method keeps the member and group information separate. This is just my way of thinking. Is there a better way to do this? Also, what is a good naming convention for tables that link two other tables?

  • Downside to including headers in every source file (Objective-C)

    - by Michael Waterfall
    I'm currently including my AppDelegate.h and all of my category headers into every one of my source files using the MyApp_Prefix.pch prefix header, instead of manually #importing them only where they are used. The category methods and lots of compiler #define's in my app delegate are used in lots of places in my code. Is there any down side to this? Is it just that compilation will take longer?
