  • Is there a template engine for Node.js?

    - by Seb
I'm kind of falling in love with Node.js not because you write app code in javascript but because of its performance. I really don't care a lot about how beautiful a server side language might be but how much requests per second it can handle. So anyway I'm looking forward to experiment building an entire webapp using Node.js (and going back to the actual question) is there a template engine similar to let's say the django template engine or something similar (that at least allows you to extend base templates) available for Node.js?

  • PHP Download File with Include

    - by arik-so
How can I use PHP's include function to include a file and then modify the headers so it forces - at least that's how it's called - browsers to download ITSELF (the PHP file). Is it possible to also modify the preset save name, in order to change the extension from *.php to something else? Thanks in advance!

  • Btrieve Date Integer

    - by nmiranda
Hi everyone, this is my question: I'm migrating data from a Btrieve file (.dat) through Pervasive Control Center and there is field type which is defined as integer but is a date and for example the date '31/12/2009' (seen in the legacy system) is view it as the number 733772 when I export it. The legacy system shows the date correctly but I can't export it in the same format or at least I can't convert it. Does anybody know how to convert this number through Excel or something?

  • Possible to have ampersands ("&") in URL BEFORE the query string?

    - by Mike Crittenden
My client is determined to have a page at /nfm&t so I made a directory named nfm&t with an index.html (to test) and that URL is still throwing a 404. So apparently it's not that easy. Any ideas? Or is there a way to just redirect nfm&t to nfmt, so that the URL at least resolves? This is a Windows server, by the way, which throws a wrench into how I'm used to doing redirects.

  • PCRE (recursive) pattern that matches a string containing a correctly parenthesized substring. Why d

    - by Anton N. Petrov
Well, there are other ways (hmmm... or rather working ways) to do it, but the question is why does this one fail? / \A # start of the string ( # group 1 (?: # group 2 [^()]* # something other than parentheses (greedy) | # or \( (?1) \) # parenthesized group 1 ) # -group 2 + # at least once (greedy) ) # -group 1 \Z # end of the string /x Fails to match a string with nested parentheses: "(())"

  • Why doesn't Java warn about a == "something"?

    - by Marius
This might sound stupid, but why doesn't the Java compiler warn about the expression in the following if statement: String a = "something"; if(a == "something"){ System.out.println("a is equal to something"); }else{ System.out.println("a is not equal to something"); } I realize why the expression is untrue, but AFAIK, a can never be equal to the String literal "something". The compiler should realize this and at least warn me that I'm an idiot who is coding way to late at night.

  • Detect pointer arithmetics because of LARGEADDRESSAWARE

    - by Suma
I would like to switch my application to LARGEADDRESSAWARE. One of issues to watch for is pointer arithmetic, as pointer difference can no longer be represented as signed 32b. Is there some way how to find automatically all instances of pointer subtraction in a large C++ project? If not, is there some "least effort" manual or semi-automatic method how to achieve this?

  • Limiting the size of a python dictionary

    - by anthony
I'd like to work with a dict in python, but limit the number of key/value pairs to X. In other words, if the dict is currently storing X key/value pairs and I perform an insertion, I would like one of the existing pairs to be dropped. It would be nice if it was the least recently inserted/accesses key but that's not completely necessary. If this exists in the standard library please save me some time and point it out!

  • What is a good FAT file system for ARM7-TDMI

    - by Seidleroni
I'm using the ARM7TDMI-S (NXP processor) and I need a file system capable of reading/writing to an SD card. There are so many available, what have people used and been happy with? One that requires the least amount of setup is best - so the less I have to do to get it started (i.e. write device drivers to NXP's hardware) the better.

  • jQuery Selectable only select 1 and get a value?

    - by jphenow
This might seem like an odd request but I'd like to use jQuery's Selectable tool to only select one item at a time and I'd like it to show me a value I'll have within each tag. At the very least I want the contents of that selection. Has anyone tried to do this? For some reason these little things seem to not be all that easily findable in their API for it.

    - by Zerotoinfinite
Hi All, I have developed my application in asp.net 3.5 and C#. I have deployed my application on internet and now when I am going to the source of the page, I am able to see all my asp.net controls defined [ie. my aspx page], is their any way I can hide it so that user can't see my source of the page [except right click of mouse] or at least display in pure HTML form so that people can not identify that I am using asp.net. Thanks in advance

  • Basic question about encryption - what exactly are keys?

    - by Tomas
Hi, I was browsing and found good articles about encryption. However, none of them described why the key lenght is important and what exactly the key is used for. My guess is that could work this way: 0101001101010101010 Key: 01010010101010010101 //the longer the key, the longer unique sequence XOR or smth: //result Is this at least a bit how it works or I am missing something? Thanks

  • Efficient storage in .Net App

    - by Tommy
I'm looking for the fastest, least memory consuming, stand alone storage method available for large amounts of data for my C# app. My initial thoughts: Sql: no. not stand alone XML in flat file: no. takes too long to parse large amounts of data Other Options? Basically what i'm looking for, is a way that i can load with my applications load, keep all the data in my app, and when the data in my app changes just update the storage location.

  • Attribute & Reflection libraries for C++?

    - by Fabian
Most mature C++ projects seem to have an own reflection and attribute system, i.e for defining attributes which can be accessed by string and are automatically serializable. At least many C++ projects I participated in seemed to reinvent the wheel. Do you know any good open source libraries for C++ which support reflection and attribute containers, specifically: Defining RTTI and attributes via macros Accessing RTTI and attributes via code Automatic serialisation of attributes Listening to attribute modifications (e.g. OnValueChanged)

  • Is there a Javascript cron implementation somewhere that I'm missing?

    - by user173491
I'm aware of timing issues in Javascript, how its not exact/off by milliseconds etc, but I need something to at least attempt to do browser-based scheduling. In terms of features, I'm thinking something along the lines of scheduling patterns described here: http://www.sauronsoftware.it/projects/cron4j/manual.php#p02 Anything out there? I've done google searches and haven't found any implementation worth nothing.
