Given a string containing jpeg image data, is it possible to load this directly in pygame?
I've tried using StringIO but failed and I don't completely understand the 'file-like' object concept.
Currently, as a workaround, I'm saving to disk and then loading an image the standard way:
# imagestring contains a jpeg
f=open('test.jpg','wb')
f.write(imagestring)
f.close()
image=pygame.image.load('test.jpg')
Any suggestions on improving this so that we avoid creating a temp file?
Not sure if this is possible but can you load and unload into a div on a jquery toggle?
something a bit like this?
$("#IDOFCLICK").live('click',function(){
$(this).toggleClass("active").('#IDOFDIVTOLOAD').load('PAAGETOLOAD').slideToggle("slow");
});
if you can I guess the above is not right, but, how would you also unload on the "reverse" toggle?
I have a sqlite databse that holds a table. The table contains about 7500 data. I've fetch the 7500 data in a UITableView. A UISearchBar is used to search the UITableView.There is no problem in simulator but when I run in a iPhone device, then it will take time to load and when I type to SearchBar then it hangs the device keyboard.
Is there any optimal solution to load 7500 data in a UITableView?
I have an RIA Service that returns image data (Byte[]) and caption of image (String) from SQL Server.
The data part can sometimes be a few MB's so it can take quite a while to load.
I would like to load the bytes independently of the caption (which loads very fast).
Is there a way to do this without having to create a second image context?
I'm trying to write an iPhone offline webapp using jqtouch/jquery. When I disable my connectivity, it looks like the jquery .load() function silently fails and doesn't even call its callback function. I've set $.ajaxSetup ({cache: true}); but it seems to have no effect. I also have my manifest file etc. working fine - the only issue is the .load() function.
Any ideas?
Hi all
I'm currently investigating MEF to know the feasibility of some kind of plugin subsystem for a software we are writing at my company. One of the first questions that came to my mind is to know the influence of MEF components in the application load time.
Moreover, if that's something of significant weight, is it possible to load those components completely at runtime?
Thanks in advance

I load scripts using luaL_loadfile and then lua_pcall from my game, and was wondering if instead of loading them into the global table, I could load them into a table named after their filename?
For example:
I have I file called "Foo.lua", which contains this:
function DoSomething()
--something
end
After loading it I want to be able to access it like:
Foo.DoSomething()
Thanks!
I have a bunch of monochrome (1bpp) PNG images I want to load, and pass to pdfSharp.
Using Image.FromFile loads images fine, but it alawys uses 32BPP, regardless of the pixel depth of the file. That results in very large PDF files generated.
Is there a way to load images in their native pixel depth?
How can I load a javascript file via Firebug console ?
This would be useful in development, so I don't have to modify the html code to load the script.
Hi, I have multiple quartz cron jobs in a load balanced environment. Currently these jobs are running on each node, which is not desirable. I want a node to run only a particular scheduler and if the node crashes, another node should run the scheduler intended for the node that crashed.
How can this be done with spring 2.5.6/tomcat load balancer.
"This website is temporarily unavailable. Please check back later.
Unfortunately there were no suitable nodes available to serve this request."
When I request a stored procedure from my program (SP is taking 2 minutes to execute) the above error is getting.
I believe this is because of Load balancer Time out. How we can increment the load balancer time out.
Hi,
I'm working with a jni application that loads a dll library, but the load of it is taking too long. The dll is in the path. As a relevant informat, this dll depends on other oracle dlls that are also in the path.
System.loadLibrary("exmaple.dll");
Do you have any idea why the load never ends?
It seems that if there is a sql memory leak somewhere and you dont have time to find it you can use the load balance timeout option in a sql connection string to destory the connection after x seconds.
Am i right in assuming I can set the load balance time out to 30-40 seconds and then hunt for the leak latter, while in the mean time the leak will not affect my application too much.
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if it's possible to load assets through proxy in flex,
for example to load image.
As far as I discovered there isn't such way, but I thought it wouldn't be any harm to examine your huge knowledge also :).
Thanks,
Royee
I just started to use Storyboard in Xcode. I have a starting view that has some buttons inside. Is there a way to load a special view when a button is clicked?
I only found this workaround:
-(IBAction)loadRegistration:(id)sender {
// load registration controller
UIStoryboard *storyboard = self.storyboard;
RegisterController *svc = [storyboard instantiateViewControllerWithIdentifier:@"RegisterController"];
[self presentViewController:svc animated:YES completion:nil];
}
Hello,
I load some data from file:
GInputStream* input_stream;
GFile *file = g_file_new_for_path(file_path);
input_stream = g_file_read(file,generator_cancellable ,NULL);
g_input_stream_read(input_stream, buffer, sizeof (buffer),generator_cancellable,error);
How can i load g_input_stream_read function result to the GdkPixbufLoader object?
Thank you.
Does it load the entire file at a time? Or does it act lazy and load a chunk at a time? I'm primarily interested in knowing how much memory my audio uses.
Our performance testing team is running test on our WPF-WCF-Sql Server application and they are facing connection timeout after the load goes above 75 users
Error -27796: Failed to connect to server "81.171.180.119:4567": [10060] Connection timed out
I would like to know what can be steps to look at bottlenecks which may be causing issues like maybe some setting in Load Runner or identify the code bottlenecks.
Thanks
My hosting provider does not have curl extension enabled by default, however, I can load it using dl().
What would be the correct place in WordPress to load the extension so that it could use curl for wp_remote_* functions?
I'd like it to survive the possible upgrades of WordPress code.

How can I load, reflect on and then instanciate types of an assembly that is in an arbitary directory on the system using Assembly.Load or similar without having to modify any security settings for the runtime on the machine. The user should be able to specify the name and location at runtime.
How to add a custom value using LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE?
The column time_added is the 7th column and the file has only 2 values for the first and the second column. For the 7th column, time_added I want to use the unix timestamp when loading from file.
This code isn't working:
$result = mysql_query("LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '{$myFile}' INTO TABLE {$table} FIELDS TERMINATED BY ':' LINES TERMINATED BY '\n' SET `time_added`=unix_timestamp()");
