  In Windows 2003 I was able to change the registry key as follows to display the actualy computer name on the desktop using the Computer Desktop Icon. System Key: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}] Change "LocalizedString" value to %COMPUTERNAME% I'm getting access denied messages using regedit for this key and I'm unable to give full rights to this specific key as well as administrator. Does anyone have a better solution for displaying the computer name on the desktop? Thanks.

  I am currently working on a new authoritative nameserver using powerdns on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I'd like to have AppArmor protecting this service like it did with bind, but when I look in /etc/apparmor.d/, there was no AppArmor profile for this service installed by default.   Looking at the details of a certificate using the following: openssl x509 -noout -text -purpose -in mycert.pem I find a bunch of purpose flags (which I've discovered are set by the various extensions attached to a certificate). One of these purpose flags is "Any Purpose". I can't seem to find ANY documentation on this flag and why or why not it is set.   So I got an airpoort extreme, and everything works beautifully on the mac, but my windows 7 PC which is connected via a regular ethernet cable can't see any network. • itunes can't see iphone after reinstalled leopard

  My Mac harddisk died so I replaced it and installed OS to Leopard 10.5.8. Problem now, iTunes doesn't see my iPhone 3GS at all. (iPhoto works just fine) but iTunes is blind.   BES 4.1.6 Blackberry 8300 (curve) Hi guys, I've noticed that handhelds will typically only retrieve the first few KB and then prompt the user to manually retrieve more (or auto-retrieve if they scroll down). The problem is that I have a BB app that needs to see the entire message all at once on the first initial time it's opened.
