• Symantec site slow only when using a Mac?

  I didn't know this was possible but it certainly seems slow when only using a Mac. I participate in the Symantec Connect forums regularly and when I get on it with my Windows PC or laptop it loads perfectly, but my Mac laptop the site rarely loads or if it does it takes a couple minutes for each page. My question is why does a website run slower on the Mac vs PC? No other sites experience this same issue just the symantec connect forums. Thanks, Grant

  I'm using Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista and 7 for cross realm authentication using MIT Kerberos 1.6 but when i try to login with a user the KDC answers: (wireshark output) error_code: KRB5KDC_ERR_ETYPE_NOSUPP (14) ... e-text: BAD_ENCRYPTION_TYPE I want to know how can I change the encryption type method to be compatible with the KDC (i tried a XP client and it worked fine). (posted this yesterday on superuser, but I guess this is more a serverfault question) Can anyone help me on this ? Many thanks!

  I've got a Fedora LAMP server on Amazon EC2 functioning as a HTTP pseudo-proxy (Sorry, don't know the terminology- It's not a true proxy where requests are relayed through apache, rather client requests are being translated by a PHP script, which then sends a new request.) I'd like to be able to fully log the HTTP cycle CLIENT - PROXY PROXY - SERVICE SERVICE - PROXY PROXY - CLIENT I'm hoping to do this using BASH tools- thinking netcat? Looking for advice and examples. But when I attempted to install the network drivers post-install using the packages from the HP website, I wasn't successful.   Howdy, I just recently installed hyper-v server 2008 r2 on a dedicated server i have, but i'm having trouble enabling remote management. Running the HVRemote - http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/HVRemote - tool seems to have yielded some positive results, and all tests on the server pass (firewall, permissions, etc), but client-side things are not working. I'm stuck at this step : 5: - Simple query to root\cimv2 WMI namespace FAIL - Simple query failed Cannot perform simple query against root\cimv2 Anyone could help me figure this out?   Protocol: SFTP (port 22) I've tested CuteFtp, FileZilla, SecureCRT and several others. Looks like CuteFTP has the best throughput, usually 200%-400% than others. I've read something about SecureFtp may have slower rate from here. Can anyone explain why CuteFtp has better throughput? And, is there any other FTP client even faster than CuteFtp? Thanks a lot!

  During an overnight system state backup we are seeing thousands of success audit events (4656, 4658) on the folder c:\windows\servicing, system32 and others in the windows folder. We use file success auditing on some files so I can't disable it but this deluge is filling up the logs and making reporting tricky. • Sirius Satellite Radio Streaming via XBOX 360

I've found a number of articles which point to an application uSirius which is apparently discontinued (bought out by Apple or something it looks like) but it is nowhere I have found.   Hi Guys, I have tried to install memcached in MAMP - Snow Leopard 10.6.2 using this tutorial: Setup a Memcached-Enabled MAMP Sandbox Environment I finished with no errors the first to the last step: Bonus Section: Start and Stop Memcache with MAMP After that I restarted my MAMP widget in the dashboard and checked by phpinfo but the memcached extension is not there.   Hi all, I have a Windows 7 machine that I have run Sysprep on using the following command Sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:c:\sysprep.xml When the PC shutsdown I upload it to my Windows Deployment Server (2008 R2), when I turn the PC back on the unattended install works fine, if I download the image from the deployment server it ignores the unattended install and I get prompted for all the settings.   I have two router 'GVT-1' (the main router) and 'GVT-2' (the second router), this seconds router is used as a repeater only, so I setup a wireless bridge but after I did that it only show 'GVT-2' and if I go closer the 'GVT-1' the signal gets weak cause I'm far from the second router. What I wish is to had the same connection with a wide signal, there's something that I cand do about it ? Thanks.
