• Cloning/copying traffic from production web cluster to test web cluster

  Hello. We have 10 machine web cluster with approximately 1500 req/seq. How can we copy/clone all user traffic that comes to this production cluster in order to test new version of software, which is installed on a little bit smaller test cluster? It should be copy, not load balancing, i.e. real users must receive answer from production cluster, not testing one. OS: Linux Thanks.

• Apache jamming at low load average

  Apache seems to stop responding sometimes even though apache processes are still running. After restarting apache, the load average usually shoots up from 1 - 2 to 13 - 15 in a matter of seconds. What would the cause of this be, or how could I find out why apache stops serving? My httpd.conf is: <IfModule mpm_prefork_module> StartServers 8 MinSpareServers 5 MaxSpareServers 20 MaxClients 50 ServerLimit 50 MaxRequestsPerChild 4000 </IfModule> It's running on an EC2 c1.medium (1.7 GB of memory) Thanks

• Outlook 2007 - slow loading messages, etc

  Outlook 2007 is slow to load messages...Why is this, and what can I do to speed it up? Currently have about 850 messages in the Inbox folder, and the preview pane turned off, thus I view messages by double-clicking. This is where it gets slow, when I double click, it brings up a new window with everything but the actual message loaded. Solutions? Thanks! (running Windows 7)

I've created a user in the user group (let's call it apache), and set the user to run as in the services pane, but then I am unable to start the service (probably not enough permission to bind to port 80). What is the minimum privileges needed to run apache on windows 2008, or what should I do to allow the user apache to bind apache 2.2 to port 80? Thanks!

  So I've got a Mac in the post coming to me, and will probably be doing quite a bit of development on it so I am looking for a text editor (PHP + HTML mainly). I curently use Notepad++ on Windows and I simply cannot live without the function list plugin (It displays all functions in the current PHP file in a box on the right).   Hi, I have installed a web application which is configured using a network drive But i am keep getting a pop up asking for credentials looking in the event log, the network logon is set to my domain/account which looks fine however caller user name is empty (not sure if this is an issue) the application works fine when i use a local drive the application also runs fine when i set "connect as" user the application also works fine when a share on the local machine is used!! direct asses using the unc path is not a problem Please advise what i can do or should check Thanks and Regards, James
