  • Xerces C++ SAX Parsing Problem: expected class-name before '{' token

    - by aduric
    I'm trying to run through an example given for the C++ Xerces XML library implementation. I've copied the code exactly, but I'm having trouble compiling it. error: expected class-name before '{' token I've looked around for a solution, and I know that this error can be caused by circular includes or not defining a class before it is used, but as you can see from the code, I only have 2 files: MySAXHandler.hpp and MySAXHandler.cpp. However, the MySAXHandler class is derived from HandlerBase, which is included. MyHandler.hpp #include <xercesc/sax/HandlerBase.hpp> class MySAXHandler : public HandlerBase { public: void startElement(const XMLCh* const, AttributeList&); void fatalError(const SAXParseException&); }; MySAXHandler.cpp #include "MySAXHandler.hpp" #include <iostream> using namespace std; MySAXHandler::MySAXHandler() { } void MySAXHandler::startElement(const XMLCh* const name, AttributeList& attributes) { char* message = XMLString::transcode(name); cout << "I saw element: "<< message << endl; XMLString::release(&message); } void MySAXHandler::fatalError(const SAXParseException& exception) { char* message = XMLString::transcode(exception.getMessage()); cout << "Fatal Error: " << message << " at line: " << exception.getLineNumber() << endl; XMLString::release(&message); } I'm compiling like so: g++ -L/usr/local/lib -lxerces-c -I/usr/local/include -c MySAXHandler.cpp I've looked through the HandlerBase and it is defined, so I don't know why I can't derive a class from it? Do I have to override all the virtual functions in HandlerBase? I'm kinda new to C++. Thanks in advance.

  • SpeechRecognizer causes ANR... I need help with Android speech API.

    - by Dondo Chaka
    I'm trying to use Android's speech recognition package to record user speech and translate it to text. Unfortunately, when I attempt initiate listening, I get an ANR error that doesn't point to anything specific. As the SpeechRecognizer API indicates, a RuntimeException is thrown if you attempt to call it from the main thread. This would make me wonder if the processing was just too demanding... but I know that other applications use the Android API for this purpose and it is typically pretty snappy. java.lang.RuntimeException: SpeechRecognizer should be used only from the application's main thread Here is a (trimmed) sample of the code I'm trying to call from my service. Is this the proper approach? Thanks for taking the time to help. This has been a hurdle I haven't been able to get over yet. Intent intent = new Intent(RecognizerIntent.ACTION_RECOGNIZE_SPEECH); intent.putExtra(RecognizerIntent.EXTRA_LANGUAGE_MODEL, RecognizerIntent.LANGUAGE_MODEL_FREE_FORM); intent.putExtra(RecognizerIntent.EXTRA_CALLING_PACKAGE, "com.domain.app"); SpeechRecognizer recognizer = SpeechRecognizer .createSpeechRecognizer(this.getApplicationContext()); RecognitionListener listener = new RecognitionListener() { @Override public void onResults(Bundle results) { ArrayList<String> voiceResults = results .getStringArrayList(RecognizerIntent.EXTRA_RESULTS); if (voiceResults == null) { Log.e(getString(R.string.log_label), "No voice results"); } else { Log.d(getString(R.string.log_label), "Printing matches: "); for (String match : voiceResults) { Log.d(getString(R.string.log_label), match); } } } @Override public void onReadyForSpeech(Bundle params) { Log.d(getString(R.string.log_label), "Ready for speech"); } @Override public void onError(int error) { Log.d(getString(R.string.log_label), "Error listening for speech: " + error); } @Override public void onBeginningOfSpeech() { Log.d(getString(R.string.log_label), "Speech starting"); } }; recognizer.setRecognitionListener(listener); recognizer.startListening(intent);

  • error invoking store procedure with input parameter from ADO.Net

    - by George2
    Hello everyone, I am using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 + ADO.Net. Here is my code and related error message. The error message says, @Param1 is not supplied, but actually it is supplied in my code. Any ideas what is wrong? System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Procedure or function 'Pr_Foo' expects parameter '@Param1', which was not supplied. class Program { private static SqlCommand _command; private static SqlConnection connection; private static readonly string _storedProcedureName = "Pr_Foo"; private static readonly string connectionString = "server=.;integrated Security=sspi;initial catalog=FooDB"; public static void Prepare() { connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString); connection.Open(); _command = connection.CreateCommand(); _command.CommandText = _storedProcedureName; _command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; } public static void Dispose() { connection.Close(); } public static void Run() { try { SqlParameter Param1 = _command.Parameters.Add("@Param1", SqlDbType.Int, 300101); Param1.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; SqlParameter Param2 = _command.Parameters.Add("@Param2", SqlDbType.Int, 100); portal_SiteInfoID.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; SqlParameter Param3 = _command.Parameters.Add("@Param3", SqlDbType.Int, 200); portal_RoleInfoID.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; _command.ExecuteScalar(); } catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine(e); } } static void Main(string[] args) { try { Prepare(); Thread t1 = new Thread(Program.Run); t1.Start(); t1.Join(); Dispose(); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message + "\t" + ex.StackTrace); } } } thanks in avdance, George

  • How can I implement CRUD operations in a base class for an entity framework app?

    - by hminaya
    I'm working a simple EF/MVC app and I'm trying to implement some Repositories to handle my entities. I've set up a BaseObject Class and a IBaseRepository Interface to handle the most basic operations so I don't have to repeat myself each time: public abstract class BaseObject<T> { public XA.Model.Entities.XAEntities db; public BaseObject() { db = new Entities.XAEntities(); } public BaseObject(Entities.XAEntities cont) { db = cont; } public void Delete(T entity) { db.DeleteObject(entity); db.SaveChanges(); } public void Update(T entity) { db.AcceptAllChanges(); db.SaveChanges(); } } public interface IBaseRepository<T> { void Add(T entity); T GetById(int id); IQueryable<T> GetAll(); } But then I find myself having to implement 3 basic methods in every Repository ( Add, GetById & GetAll): public class AgencyRepository : Framework.BaseObject<Agency>, Framework.IBaseRepository<Agency> { public void Add(Agency entity) { db.Companies.AddObject(entity); db.SaveChanges(); } public Agency GetById(int id) { return db.Companies.OfType<Agency>().FirstOrDefault(x => x.Id == id); } public IQueryable<Agency> GetAll() { var agn = from a in db.Companies.OfType<Agency>() select a; return agn; } } How can I get these into my BaseObject Class so I won't run in conflict with DRY.

    I want to make it like when I click a button, it will create a new file. Then the jTree will highlight the new file. Below are my code. Currently I create new file, i will show the new file but no highlight the file. class FileTreeModel implements TreeModel { private FileNode root; public FileTreeModel(String directory) { root = new FileNode(directory); } public Object getRoot() { return root; } public Object getChild(Object parent, int index) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; return new FileNode(parentNode, parentNode.listFiles()[index].getName()); } public int getChildCount(Object parent) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; if (parent == null || !parentNode.isDirectory() || parentNode.listFiles() == null) { return 0; } return parentNode.listFiles().length; } public boolean isLeaf(Object node) { return (getChildCount(node) == 0); } public int getIndexOfChild(Object parent, Object child) { FileNode parentNode = (FileNode) parent; FileNode childNode = (FileNode) child; return Arrays.asList(parentNode.list()).indexOf(childNode.getName()); } public void valueForPathChanged(TreePath path, Object newValue) { } public void addTreeModelListener(TreeModelListener l) { } public void removeTreeModelListener(TreeModelListener l) { } } class FileNode extends java.io.File { public FileNode(String directory) { super(directory); } public FileNode(FileNode parent, String child) { super(parent, child); } @Override public String toString() { return getName(); } } jTree = new JTree(); jTree.setBounds(new Rectangle(164, 66, 180, 421)); jTree.setBackground(SystemColor.inactiveCaptionBorder); jTree.setBorder(BorderFactory.createTitledBorder(null, "", TitledBorder.LEADING, TitledBorder.TOP, new Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 12), new Color(0, 0, 0))); FileTreeModel model = new FileTreeModel(root); jTree.setRootVisible(false); jTree.setModel(model); expandAll(jTree); public void expandAll(JTree tree) { int row = 0; while (row < tree.getRowCount()) { tree.expandRow(row); row++; } }

  • What's the performance penalty of weak_ptr?

    - by Kornel Kisielewicz
    I'm currently designing a object structure for a game, and the most natural organization in my case became a tree. Being a great fan of smart pointers I use shared_ptr's exclusively. However, in this case, the children in the tree will need access to it's parent (example -- beings on map need to be able to access map data -- ergo the data of their parents. The direction of owning is of course that a map owns it's beings, so holds shared pointers to them. To access the map data from within a being we however need a pointer to the parent -- the smart pointer way is to use a reference, ergo a weak_ptr. However, I once read that locking a weak_ptr is a expensive operation -- maybe that's not true anymore -- but considering that the weak_ptr will be locked very often, I'm concerned that this design is doomed with poor performance. Hence the question: What is the performance penalty of locking a weak_ptr? How significant is it?

  • How can I remove a JPanel from a JFrame?

    - by Roman
    Recently I asked here how to add a new JPanel to JFrame. The answer helped me to get a working code. But not I have a related question: "How can I remove an old JPanel". I need that because of the following problem. A new JPanel appears appears when I want (either time limit is exceeded or user press the "Submit" button). But in several seconds some element of the old JPanel appears together with the component of the new JPanel. I do not understand why it happens. I thought that it is because I have to other threads which update the window. But the first thread just add the old panel once (so, it should be finished). And in the second thread I have a loop which is broken (so, it also should be finished). Here is my code: private Thread controller = new Thread() { public void run() { // First we set the initial pane (for the selection of partner). SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { frame.getContentPane().add(generatePartnerSelectionPanel()); frame.invalidate(); frame.validate(); } }); // Update the pane for the selection of the parnter. for (int i=40; i>0; i=i-1) { final int sec = i; SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { timeLeftLabel.setText(sec + " seconds left."); } }); try {Thread.sleep(1000);} catch (InterruptedException e) {} if (partnerSubmitted) {break;} } // For the given user the selection phase is finished (either the time is over or form was submitted). SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { frame.getContentPane().add(generateWaitForGamePanel()); frame.invalidate(); frame.validate(); } }); } };

  • SWT Problem with MouseTrackListener and Shell

    - by Krt_Malta
    Hi! I'm developing an Eclipse plug-in and I have a problem which is reproduced in this small SWT application: public static void main(String[] args) { Display display = new Display(); Shell shell = new Shell(display); Text text = new Text(shell, SWT.MULTI | SWT.WRAP | SWT.READ_ONLY | SWT.V_SCROLL); text.setText("Hello"); shell.setLayout(new FillLayout()); shell.addMouseTrackListener(new MouseTrackListener() { public void mouseEnter(MouseEvent arg0) { System.out.println("mouseEnter"); } public void mouseExit(MouseEvent arg0) { System.out.println("mouseExit"); } public void mouseHover(MouseEvent arg0) { System.out.println("mouseHover"); } }); // Display the window shell.open(); while (!shell.isDisposed()) { if (!display.readAndDispatch()) { display.sleep(); } } display.dispose(); } As you can see I'm creating a shell and putting a Textbox inside it and putting it all across the shell. Then I attach a MouseTrackListener to the shell. The events don't fire (as in when I hover in the shell "mouseHover" is not printed etc). When I remove the Textbox the events fire. Can anyone tell me where the problem lies please? I don't want to attach a listener to the textbox but to the shell. I'll really appreciate the help because I've been trying to trace it for quite some time now. Thanks and regards, Krt_Malta

  • keyUp event heard?: Overridden NSView method

    - by Old McStopher
    UPDATED: I'm now overriding the NSView keyUp method from a NSView subclass set to first responder like below, but am still not seeing evidence that it is being called. @implementation svsView - (BOOL)acceptsFirstResponder { return YES; } - (void)keyUp:(NSEvent *)event { //--do key up stuff-- NSLog(@"key up'd!"); } @end --ORIGINAL POST-- I'm new to Cocoa and Obj-C and am trying to do a (void)keyUp: from within the implementation of my controller class (which itself is of type NSController). I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it, though. I have a series of like buttons each set to a unique key equivalent (IB button attribute) and each calls my (IBAction)keyInput method which then passes the identity of each key onto another object. This runs just fine, but I also want to track when each key is released. --ORIGINAL [bad] EXAMPLE-- @implementation svsController //init //IBActions - (IBAction)keyInput:(id)sender { //--do key down stuff-- } - (void)keyUp:(NSEvent *)event { //--do key up stuff-- } @end Upon fail, I also tried the keyUp as an IBAction (instead of void), like the user-defined keyInput is, and hooked it up to the appropriate buttons in Interface Builder, but then keyUp was only called when the keys were down and not when released. (Which I kind of figured would happen.) Pardon my noobery, but should I be putting this method in another class or doing something differently? Wherever it is, though, I need it be able to access objects owned by the controller class. Thanks for any insight you may have.

  • Java Concurrency in practice sample question

    - by andy boot
    I am reading "Java Concurrency in practice" and looking at the example code on page 51. This states that if a thread has references to a shared object then other threads may be able to access that object before the constructor has finished executing. I have tried to put this into practice and so I wrote this code thinking that if I ran it enough times a RuntimeException("World is f*cked") would occur. But it isn't doing. Is this a case of the Java spec not guaranting something but my particular implementation of java guaranteeing it for me? (java version: 1.5.0 on Ubuntu) Or have I misread something in the book? Code: (I expect an exception but it is never thrown) public class Threads { private Widgit w; public static void main(String[] s) throws Exception { while(true){ Threads t = new Threads(); t.runThreads(); } } private void runThreads() throws Exception{ new Checker().start(); w = new Widgit((int)(Math.random() * 100) + 1); } private class Checker extends Thread{ private static final int LOOP_TIMES = 1000; public void run() { int count = 0; for(int i = 0; i < LOOP_TIMES; i++){ try { w.checkMe(); count++; } catch(NullPointerException npe){ //ignore } } System.out.println("checked: "+count+" times out of "+LOOP_TIMES); } } private static class Widgit{ private int n; private int n2; Widgit(int n) throws InterruptedException{ this.n = n; Thread.sleep(2); this.n2 = n; } void checkMe(){ if (n != n2) { throw new RuntimeException("World is f*cked"); } } } }

  • How to use Comparator in Java to sort

    - by Dan
    I learned how to use the comparable but I'm having difficulty with the Comparator. I am having a error in my code: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: New.People cannot be cast to java.lang.Comparable at java.util.Arrays.mergeSort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Arrays.sort(Unknown Source) at java.util.Collections.sort(Unknown Source) at New.TestPeople.main(TestPeople.java:18) Here is my code: import java.util.Comparator; public class People implements Comparator{ private int id; private String info; private double price; public People(int newid, String newinfo, double newprice){ setid(newid); setinfo(newinfo); setprice(newprice); } public int getid() { return id; } public void setid(int id) { this.id = id; } public String getinfo() { return info; } public void setinfo(String info) { this.info = info; } public double getprice() { return price; } public void setprice(double price) { this.price = price; } public int compare(Object obj1, Object obj2) { Integer p1 = ((People)obj1).getid(); Integer p2 = ((People)obj2).getid(); if (p1 p2 ){ return 1; } else if (p1 < p2){ return -1; } else return 0; } } import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Collections; public class TestPeople { public static void main(String[] args) { ArrayList peps = new ArrayList(); peps.add(new People(123, "M", 14.25)); peps.add(new People(234, "M", 6.21)); peps.add(new People(362, "F", 9.23)); peps.add(new People(111, "M", 65.99)); peps.add(new People(535, "F", 9.23)); Collections.sort(peps); for(int i=0;i I believe it has to do something with the casting in the compare method but I was playing around with it and still could not find the solution

  • How to determine which inheriting class is using an abstract class's methods.

    - by Kin
    In my console application have an abstract Factory class "Listener" which contains code for listening and accepting connections, and spawning client classes. This class is inherited by two more classes (WorldListener, and MasterListener) that contain more protocol specific overrides and functions. I also have a helper class (ConsoleWrapper) which encapsulates and extends System.Console, containing methods for writing to console info on what is happening to instances of the WorldListener and MasterListener. I need a way to determine in the abstract ListenerClass which Inheriting class is calling its methods. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated! I am stumped :X Simplified example of what I am trying to do. abstract class Listener { public void DoSomething() { if(inheriting class == WorldListener) ConsoleWrapper.WorldWrite("Did something!"); if(inheriting class == MasterListener) ConsoleWrapper.MasterWrite("Did something!"); } } public static ConsoleWrapper { public void WorldWrite(string input) { System.Console.WriteLine("[World] {0}", input); } } public class WorldListener : Listener { public void DoSomethingSpecific() { ConsoleWrapper.WorldWrite("I did something specific!"); } } public void Main() { new WorldListener(); new MasterListener(); } Expected output [World] Did something! [World] I did something specific! [Master] Did something! [World] I did something specific!

  • C++ Passing `this` into method by reference

    - by David
    I have a class constructor that expects a reference to another class object to be passed in as an argument. I understand that references are preferable to pointers when no pointer arithmetic will be performed or when a null value will not exist. This is the header declaration of the constructor: class MixerLine { private: MIXERLINE _mixerLine; public: MixerLine(const MixerDevice& const parentMixer, DWORD destinationIndex); ~MixerLine(); } This is the code that calls the constructor (MixerDevice.cpp): void MixerDevice::enumerateLines() { DWORD numLines = getDestinationCount(); for(DWORD i=0;i<numLines;i++) { MixerLine mixerLine( this, i ); // other code here removed } } Compilation of MixerDevice.cpp fails with this error: Error 3 error C2664: 'MixerLine::MixerLine(const MixerDevice &,DWORD)' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'MixerDevice *const ' to 'const MixerDevice &' But I thought pointer values could be assigned to pointers, e.g. Foo* foo = new Foo(); Foo& bar = foo;

  • Java threads, wait time always 00:00:00-Producer/Consumer

    - by user3742254
    I am currently doing a producer consumer problem with a number of threads and have had to set priorities and waits to them to ensure that one thread, the security thread, runs last. I have managed to do this and I have managed to get the buffer working. The last thing that I am required to do is to show the wait time of threads that are too large for the buffer and to calculate the average wait time. I have included code to do so, but everything I run the program, the wait time is always returned as 00:00:00, and by extension, the average is returned as the same. I was speaking to one of my colleagues who said that it is not a matter of the code but rather a matter of the computer needing to work off of one processor, which can be adjusted in the task manager settings. He has an HP like myself but his program prints the wait time 180 times, whereas mine prints usually about 3-7 times and is only 00:00:01 on one instance before finishing when I have made the processor adjustments. My other colleague has an iMac and hers puts out an average of 42:00:34(42 minutes??) I am very confused about this because I can see no difference between our codes and like my colleague said, I was wondering is it a computer issue. I am obviously concerned as I wanted to make sure that my code correctly calculated an average wait time, but that is impossible to tell when the wait times always show as 00:00:00. To calculate the thread duration, including the time it entered and exited the buffer was done by using a timestamp import, and then subtracting start time from end time. Is my code correct for this issue or is there something which is missing? I would be very grateful for any solutions. Below is my code: My buffer class package com.Com813cw; import java.text.DateFormat; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; /** * Created by Rory on 10/08/2014. */ class Buffer { private int contents, count = 0, process = 200; Is there any practical difference between the following approaches to print all elements in a range? public static void printA(Iterable<?> range) { for (Object o : range) { System.out.println(o); } } public static <T> void printB(Iterable<T> range) { for (T x : range) { System.out.println(x); } } Apparently, printB involves an additional checked cast to Object (see line 16), which seems rather stupid to me -- isn't everything an Object anyway? public static void printA(java.lang.Iterable); Code: 0: aload_0 1: invokeinterface #18, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/lang/Iterable.iterator:()Ljava/util/Iterator; 6: astore_2 7: goto 24 10: aload_2 11: invokeinterface #24, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/util/Iterator.next:()Ljava/lang/Object; 16: astore_1 17: getstatic #30; //Field java/lang/System.out:Ljava/io/PrintStream; 20: aload_1 21: invokevirtual #36; //Method java/io/PrintStream.println:(Ljava/lang/Object;)V 24: aload_2 25: invokeinterface #42, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/util/Iterator.hasNext:()Z 30: ifne 10 33: return public static void printB(java.lang.Iterable); Code: 0: aload_0 1: invokeinterface #18, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/lang/Iterable.iterator:()Ljava/util/Iterator; 6: astore_2 7: goto 27 10: aload_2 11: invokeinterface #24, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/util/Iterator.next:()Ljava/lang/Object; 16: checkcast #3; //class java/lang/Object 19: astore_1 20: getstatic #30; //Field java/lang/System.out:Ljava/io/PrintStream; 23: aload_1 24: invokevirtual #36; //Method java/io/PrintStream.println:(Ljava/lang/Object;)V 27: aload_2 28: invokeinterface #42, 1; //InterfaceMethod java/util/Iterator.hasNext:()Z 33: ifne 10 36: return

  • C++ STL type_traits question.

    - by Kim Sun-wu
    I was watching the latest C9 lecture and noticed something interesting.. In his introduction to type_traits, Stephan uses the following (as he says, contrived) example: template <typename T> void foo(T t, true_type) { std::cout << t << " is integral"; } template <typename T> void foo(T t, false_type) { std::cout << t << " is not integral"; } template <typename T> void bar(T t) { foo(t, typename is_integral<T>::type()); } This seems to be far more complicated than: template <typename T> void foo(T t) { if(std::is_integral<T>::value) std::cout << "integral"; else std::cout << "not integral"; } Is there something wrong with the latter way of doing it? Is his way better? Why? Thanks.

  • flash as3, Error #1009

    - by smerels
    I'm making a website that exist out of linked pages. All the pages are on the time line and all the code is in an as3 file. The first page with links works but if I want to place a link on the second frame I get the 1009 error Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. Because the link doesn't exist on the first frame. This is my code. package { import flash.display.MovieClip; import flash.events.MouseEvent; public class Honger extends MovieClip { public function Honger():void { weten.buttonMode = true; weten.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClickWeten); spelen.buttonMode = true; spelen.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClickSpelen); antwoorden.buttonMode = true; antwoorden.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClickAntwoorden); } public function onClickWeten(e:MouseEvent):void { this.gotoAndStop("vragen"); } public function onClickSpelen(e:MouseEvent):void{ this.gotoAndStop("spel"); } public function onClickAntwoorden(e:MouseEvent):void{ this.gotoAndStop("sp"); } } } Does anyone know how to solve this problem within the code?

  • Rotating an ImageVIew along with its original position in android in below HoneyComb versions

    - by candy
    I am trying rotate an ImageView along with its original location (rotating the image aswell as the view). So that After rotation, when I click on the rotated Image in its current position, it should be able clicked in the rotated location only. For this solution I am trying the following code. However it is rotating is going fine. After the rotation end I need to place the ImageView and Image in the rotated Location to make it able click over there only. But it is not going successfully. I am unable to rotated Image location axis points to place correctly. Can any one please suggest a way to resolve this issue. fyi-It should work on Gingerbread version android-9 aniView1.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Log.e("", "Clicked on IMAGE VIEW - 1"); } }); RotateAnimation rotate5 = new RotateAnimation(0, 150, Animation.INFINITE, 100, Animation.INFINITE, 250); //rotate5.setFillAfter(true); rotate5.setDuration(2000); rotate5.setInterpolator(new LinearInterpolator()); aniView1.setAnimation(rotate5); rotate5.setAnimationListener(new Animation.AnimationListener() { @Override public void onAnimationStart(Animation animation) { } @Override public void onAnimationRepeat(Animation animation) { } @Override public void onAnimationEnd(Animation animation) { int newTop = (int) (aniView1.getTop() + aniView1.getWidth()); aniView1.layout(aniView1.getLeft()-200, newTop, aniView1.getRight(), aniView1.getBottom() + aniView1.getMeasuredWidth()); // aniView1.setLayoutParams(new // RelativeLayout.LayoutParams(RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT,RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT)); } });

  • Thread Locking CollectionViewSource

    - by Robert
    I added an event handler to my code and it broke all access to the CollectionViewSources in the SystemHTA class saying "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it". My class was working when "this.systemHTA = new SystemHTA();" was placed outside of the DeviceManager_StateChanged() function. public partial class MainWindow : Window { private DeviceManager DeviceManager = DeviceManager.Instance; public SystemHTA systemHTA; public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { DeviceManager.StateChanged += new EventHandler<DeviceManagerStateChangedEventArgs>(DeviceManager_StateChanged); DeviceManager.Initialize(); } void DeviceManager_StateChanged(object sender, DeviceManagerStateChangedEventArgs e) { if (e.State == DeviceManagerState.Operational) { this.systemHTA = new SystemHTA(); } } private void button1_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { this.systemHTA.GetViewSourceTest(); } } public class SystemHTA { private CollectionViewSource _deviceTestSource; public SystemHTA() { _deviceTestSource = new CollectionViewSource(); _deviceTestSource.Source = CreateLoadData<HWController>.ControllerCollection; } public void GetViewSourceTest() { ListCollectionView view = (ListCollectionView)_deviceTestSource.View; //This creates an error saying a thread already owns _deviceTestSource } }

  • Trying to make a plugin system in C++/Qt

    - by Pirate for Profit
    I'm making a task-based program that needs to have plugins. Tasks need to have properties which can be easily edited, I think this can be done with Qt's Meta-Object Compiler reflection capabilities (I could be wrong, but I should be able to stick this in a QtPropertyBrowser?) So here's the base: class Task : public QObject { Q_OBJECT public: explicit Task(QObject *parent = 0) : QObject(parent){} virtual void run() = 0; signals: void taskFinished(bool success = true); } Then a plugin might have this task: class PrinterTask : public Task { Q_OBJECT public: explicit PrinterTask(QObject *parent = 0) : Task(parent) {} void run() { Printer::getInstance()->Print(this->getData()); // fictional emit taskFinished(true); } inline const QString &getData() const; inline void setData(QString data); Q_PROPERTY(QString data READ getData WRITE setData) // for reflection } In a nutshell, here's what I want to do: // load plugin // find all the Tasks interface implementations in it // have user able to choose a Task and edit its specific Q_PROPERTY's // run the TASK It's important that one .dll has multiple tasks, because I want them to be associated by their module. For instance, "FileTasks.dll" could have tasks for deleting files, making files, etc. The only problem with Qt's plugin setup is I want to store X amount of Tasks in one .dll module. As far as I can tell, you can only load one interface per plugin (I could be wrong?). If so, the only possible way to do accomplish what I want is to create a FactoryInterface with string based keys which return the objects (as in Qt's Plug-And-Paint example), which is a terrible boilerplate that I would like to avoid. Anyone know a cleaner C++ plugin architecture than Qt's to do what I want? Also, am I safely assuming Qt's reflection capabilities will do what I want (i.e. able to edit an unknown dynamically loaded tasks' properties with the QtPropertyBrowser before dispatching)?

  • How can I remove the present view when I have added more than one subView ?

    - by srikanth rongali
    How can I remove the present view when I touched the close button. I did [self.view removeFromSuperView] when I added only one subView. It worked. But, I have now added another subView to the previous subView. I need to to get the parent view . How can I do it. My code of adding the subView is here. When I did the following only one view is removed. //FirstViewController: UIViewController -(void)libraryFunction:(id)sender { LibraryController *libraryController = [[LibraryController alloc]init]; [self.view addSubview:libraryController.view]; } //LibraryController: UIViewController -(void)viewDidLoad{ RootViewController *rootViewController = [[RootViewController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStylePlain]; UINavigationController *aNavigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:rootViewController]; self.navController = aNavigationController; [aNavigationController release]; [rootViewController release]; [self.view addSubview:navController.view]; } //RootViewController: UITableViewController - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Close" style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:self action:@selector(close:)]; } -(void)close:(id)sender { [self.view removeFromSuperview]; } Thank You.

  • UserControl/TreeView Problem....Not getting result during runtime..

    - by Samiul
    Hi all, My problem is, I'm using a TreeView in a UserControl. While debugging, I can see the results are adding in the TreeView but it's not happening when I'm using that UserControl onto my MainForm. The UserControl containing the TreeView remains blank during runtime of the main application. I've also referenced the UserControl project with my Main project. Here I'm giving my code for helping me out. Thanks in advance. Code: In the UserControl class: public override void Refresh() { PopulateTreeView(); } private void PopulateTreeView() { TreeNodeCollection treeNodeCollection; treeNodeCollection = CreateParentNode("My Information"); CreateChildNode(treeNodeCollection, "Name"); CreateChildNode(treeNodeCollection, "Address"); this.Update(); myTreeView.ExpandAll(); } private TreeNodeCollection CreateParentNode(string parentNode) { TreeNode treeNode = new TreeNode(parentNode); myTreeView.Nodes.Add(treeNode); return treeNode.Nodes; } private void CreateChildNode(TreeNodeCollection nodeCollection, string itemName) { TreeNode treeNode = new TreeNode(itemName); nodeCollection.Add(treeNode); } In my MainForm: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { UserControl userControl = new UserControl(); userControl.Refresh(); }
