• clone of tseng et4000 extended mode font?

  Back in the day (day =~ 1994), the tseng et4000 video card had extended modes for the console under linux. There was a beautiful monospaced font (I think it was for 100x40 or 100x50, but my memory could be wrong). Anyone know a way to get said font for a modern computer (e.g., Mac OS X) or the history of the font, etc? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tseng_ET4000 has little info on this score.

  I have a problem in Adaptec 160m SCSI card connected to DELL Power Edge server, that it is often stops communicating. • How long to install a new RAID 1 pair in linux using hardware RAID?

  Hi, I need to install a pair of 1Tb disks into a server that has a hardware RAID card. How long is it likely to take to configure the RAID controller - sticking the disks in is only a 5 minute job, but is there likely to be significant downtime while both disks mirror (even though they are both blank)? Am I looking at 10 minutes over all, or more like 2 hours for this to happen? Thanks

  I am trying to install a dummy sound card on a Windows Server machine (in Amazon EC2 cloud) in order for one of my application to work. I'm trying to accomplish that with Virtual Audio Cable and REAUDIO3. Both tools managed to install a new device on my Windows XP machine, but on Windows Server, no new devices appear. Windows Audio and Plug and Play services are Started and Automatic. ANY ideas are greatly appreciated.

  I am trying to play Netflix videos (which only play via Silverlight), but they play choppy because Silverlight's hardware-accelerated playback is disabled. (video playback on WMP11 and VLC is flawless, so I know beyond certainty that my built-in video card's hardware is perfectly capable of hardware-accelerated playback) I have the latest & greatest Silverlight version: 5.1.10411.0 And I tried to "un-grey-it-out" via the Registry's GPUVideoDecodeEnabled and UpdateMode, but that didn't help. Since I often use it with running GPU codes, sometimes the performances highly decrease as I test it with "glxgears" tool (I get only 20 FPS in fullscreen). So I would like to be able to reinitialize the GPU without reboot the system. I know the "clinfo" tool which display the features of the graphics card. Is there a tool which allows to do this reinitialization ?

• Secondary Monitor Flickers Off

  I have a Windows XP computer with two monitors attached. The secondary monitor occasionally flickers off and then back on. It kind of looks like it is going into power saving mode, then immediately exiting. I have tried swapping the two monitors, and this consistently happens on the whichever one is connected as the secondary one. The video card I am using is a "Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT 512MB Silent".
