    I'm trying to put an mysql query result into an string I tried to find an answer but all the similar posts were getting subquery answers which is not what I'm trying to do. for example Fruits_tbl ID Fruit Color Number __________________________________ 2 Apple Red 5 $sql = "select Fruits,Color,Number from Fruits_tbl where ID = 2"; $result = $pdo->query($sql); $row = $result->fetch(); print_r($row); This will give me something like Array([0]="Apple", [1]="Red", [2]="5", [Fruit]="Apple", [Color]="Red", [Number]="5") implode will give me 2 of each I want just need a string = "Apple, Red, 5" what I currently have is $string = $row[Fruit].", ".$row[Color].", ".$row['Number'] As you can see that's rather tedious. Is there something like implode but only return the index array or something?

    its my first time using a ProgressBar in c#. The idea is to use the ProgressBar as an health bar in a simple game. The thing is I think the bar's maximum value is 100% but i would like to give it a higher value like let's say 1000% or, not sure if it's possible, give the bar an integer value instead of a percentage. progressBar1.Increment(100); This is where I initialize the health to 100points. Even if I use this syntax: progressBar1.Increment(1000); And I subtract : progressBar1.Increment(-25); The player is loosing 1/4 of is life as if he only had 100 Health Points. Any idea how I could change the maximum Bar value? Thanks in advance.

  • What is the best freeware app for Windows to mount EXT4 partitions (from a GPT 4TB Disk) as RW, safely without corrupting the EXT4 partition?

    My Computer is set up as Dualboot Windows and Ubuntu. I have 1 OS drive, and 1 hard drive with a /backup partition (which has all my family photos and data) and it is ext4. Also note... it is EXT4, and it is GPT, and it is 4TB size. Anyway, Windows can not mount the /backup ext4 partition. What software/freeware do you reccomend for Windows? Preferrably looking for someone with experiance using it for a long time and not have problems with EXT4 partition which is a 4TB, GPT Disk. Thank you for your advice and guidance! Always, appreciate everyones help at askubuntu, you guys are the best. Any ideas?

    In my program I frequently need to print various JComponents (generally JPanels) and I like them to be full-page. The way I do it now is by using the following code: g2d.scale(pf.getImageableWidth()/componentToPrint.getWidth(), pf.getImageableHeight()/componentToPrint.getHeight()); but this often stretches or otherwise deforms whatever I am trying to print, and I would much prefer to do something that re-sized intelligently, perhaps a functional version of: componentToPrint.setSize(pf.ImageableWidth(), pf.ImageableHeight); or say adding the component into a new JFrame and then setting the frame size (problem is components can't exist in two place at once). I wouldn't care if the resizing would make the rest of the GUI look terrible, as long as it is something that can easily be reset. Is there any way to do this?

  • Remove drive partitions before Installing 12.04?

    I have an old box and want to switch to Ubuntu 12.04. It has two hard drives. The first is a 40 gig disk that runs Windows XP; the other is 80 gigs partitioned into 40, 20, and 20 gigs. I am prepared to abandon Windows altogether and everything stored on the drives. So my question is, do I just install from CD/DVD onto the C drive? Or onto one of the partitions in the other disk first and then uninstall Windows? What will happen to the partitions on the second disk, which I don't particularly see a need for? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have it almost working, but I feel like there has to be a better way to handle the tags for a link. I watched many links but most projects for some reason hide their authors names (showing some nick names or something...) and all developing process relative information...   • Ubuntu 12.04 terminal only after nvidia driver upgrade

    I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 (after getting tired of Windows). Installation went fine. I had one problem when I got in suspend mode and then resumed my screen was scrambled. After some googling founds some tips to upgrade my nvidia drivers. I did this, and rebooted but only a terminal windows appears now instead of a graphical desktop. Tried to fix it by several reboots, and removing xorg.conf, but still no luck. Any advice how to fix it and get my desktop back ?

    Currently running Ubuntu 13.10 after a fresh install/re install due to this problem. The error occurs whenever I try to drag a file from the Ubuntu search( in the launcher ), to the desktop. the whole error message is as follows... "Error while copying. There was an error getting information about “/”." Show more details reveals the following... "The specified location is not supported" I don't understand the problem and can't see any clear way of fixing it. Any and all advice would be appreciated. :)

Whenever the student clicks 'Take Exam' button, he/she cannot not get access to the question paper because the exam time is 10:00 am and there are still 15 minutes before the exam start. Now I want to put some Javascript or PHP code that will prohibit the students to give exam earlier and if a students come early, it will show a stopwatch which display the remaining time before exam time and when the current time is equal to exam time then he/she will be directly redirected to the question paper page.

However, because of my work, the process was corrupted for more than a year. And now, I see that very few people still play RA3. So, should I continue making this map?   • LXDE will not suspend when laptop lid is closed, and will die when woken up

    I am not an experienced Linux user, although I have been using Ubuntu occassionally some time already. ( Since Feisty Fawn probably? ). Now I installed Ubuntu 11.10 and it is nice ( well, after I installed LXDE, Unity sucks and I didn't really like gnome-fallback-session ), but it has one problem: After being suspended, when I wake my computer up, it starts up and in about 5 seconds it dies. Like a normal shutdown. Then, when I start it again, the screen stays blank, so I have to hard-turn it off - only then, when I turn it on, it works. It is an MSI laptop, about 3-4 years old. The second problem is: After installing LXDE, when I close the laptop lid, it does not suspend. I can only suspend using the shutdown menu - and the waking up problem remains.     So most of us know how to access an outer class from an inner class. Searches with those words give oodles of answered questions on that topic. But what I want to know is why the syntax is the way it is. Example: public class A { private class B { public void c() {A.this.d();} } public void d() {System.out.println("You've called d()! Go, you!");} } Why is it A.this.d()? It looks like this is a static field of class A, but... * am confused * Forgive me if this is a repeat; like I said, searches with those words give how-answers.

  • How to get Unity interface on my PC?

    I downgraded by PC to 11.04 from 12.04 2 days ago. I was using the Unity interface and I am quite used to it. Today when I started my PC, I got a message (after the login screen showed) saying that my system does not support Unity and it automatically defaulted me to the classic interface. Now when I start my PC, even when the interface choice selected is Ubuntu and not Ubuntu Classic, it falls back to the classic interface. Any advice on how to get Unity back?

    I'm having a kernel panic problem - my machine will run for hours, maybe all day and then have a panic attack.   • Generating the permutations from a number of Characters

    I'm working on a predictive text solution and have all the words being retrieved from a Trie based on input for a certain string of characters, i.e. "at" will give all words formed with "at" as a prefix. The problem that I have now, is that we are also supposed to return all other possibilities from pressing these 2 buttons, Button 2 and button 8 on the mobile phone, which would also give words formed with, "au, av, bt, bu, bv, ct, cu, cv" (most of which won't have any actual words. Can anyone suggest a solution and how I would go about doing this for calculating the different permutations? (at the moment, I'm prompting the user to enter the prefix (not using a GUI right now)
