• c# Bitmap.Save transparancy doesn't save in png

  I'm trying to save a Bitmap class that has transparancy as a png file with transparancy. I'm having no luck. The bitmap has transparancy, it just doesn't save with transparancy. this is what I'm doing bitmap setup Bitmap ret = new Bitmap(bWidth, bHeight, System.Drawing.Imaging.PixelFormat.Format32bppArgb); saveing ret.Save(filename, ImageFormat.Png); I also tried saving the file with a filestream, and that made no difference. When the image is in a Picture box the transparancy exists, but when I save i I just get a black background. I really don't want to use any 3rd party code, they found a way to do it, I'd like to also. thanks.

I have a coordinates where I need draw a picture, width and height of it For example: I have 2 billion jpeg's images. for each images I have a specific origin point and size. In 1 second I need draw on view 20-50 images in specific point. • Process touches behind the UINavigationBar

  In my application, I'm displaying a fullscreen image in a 320 x 480 frame. After I display the image, I fade the navigation bar out to allow the user to see the whole picture. When the user taps in the area where the navigation bar was, I would like to bring the navigation bar back. This is very similar to what happens in the iPhone Photos app. Unfortunately, after I've hidden the UINavigationBar, I can't process touches on the screen where the navigation bar once was. I believe this is because the origin of the parent view is right below the navigation bar: How can I process touches in this area to bring the nav bar back?

  Hey guys, I am working on a game, and wanted to add a screen that would open when the user clicked on certain objects. The screen would be laid out to have an image on the left, a title on the top right, and text below the title. I have a few problems with this, 1) How would I create the popup box? (preferably with rounded edges) 2) How would I wrap the text (in front of the picture, but not outside the popup-box, I may even need vertical scroll bars) 3) How would I account for different screen resolutions (would they even make a difference?)   Here's (i think) an interesting question. With AJAX more and more common i feel more and more like doing all form validation server-side. Picture a registration form pre-AJAX. You have all your validation client-side using the common asp validation controls and validation summery...except...checking username availability, check emailadress availability, captcha and what not. So you end up with 2 kinds of validation and so presenting the user with 2 different UI's at 2 different moments. 2 words come to my mind. Ugly. Inconsistent. So here's the question. Why not do all the validation server-side (using AJAX or not). (I'm not using JQuery yet, should i?)

• UITextFields losing values after UINavigationController activity

  This is going to be hard to demonstrate in code, but maybe you can picture it with me. I have a view that contains two UITextFields, "title" and "descr". That same view contains two UIButtons that push another controller onto the navController to get more detail from the user about the object we're assembling and ultimately uploading to my server. It appears that pushing another view on, doing something, and popping it back off results in the two UITextFields keeping their content VISUALLY, but the .text property of those fields becomes NULL. I've confirmed that if I do my two push-pop fields before filling in those UITextFields, I get my data when I upload, and if I do them in the opposite order, I don't. It LOOKS like there's data there, but I get nothing when I NSLog their .text properties. Is this normal? Do I need to just design around this? Or is this as weird as it seems, and I should be looking deeper at causes of this?

I tried to hide the navigationBar with [self.navigationController setNavigationBarHidden:YES animated:animated]; but it just remove the navigationBar in my controller but I still have the NavigationBar.png when I'm playing a video. I tried to set the barstyle but it doesn't work either ... self.navigationController.navigationBar.barStyle = UIBarStyleDefault; Could you help me ?

• SQLServer Replication, dealing with updating data in a subscriber without merging with the publisher

  To simplify my problem, picture two databases, one is a publisher, one is a replicated subscriber. Most of the time, changes are configured in the publisher, and pushed to the subscriber once per day using transactional replication. (The subscriber is the main production database). However, on a rare occasion, we need to make a change directly to the subscriber database. This does not break replication, however to ensure consistency, we also want to replicate this single change back to the publisher database. My first thought was to make both databases publishers to each other, but that does not work. Merge replication also does not work as that merges the data together, and we really only want to push that single change from the subscriber back to the publisher. Is there some other replication scheme I can use here, or do I need to invent my own thing?

When operation A is running (executing B operations) how do i call a specific function/method on operation A when certain event takes place on B operations? • How to write to the OpenGL Depth Buffer

  I'm trying to implement an old-school technique where a rendered background image AND preset depth information is used to occlude other objects in the scene. So for instance if you have a picture of a room with some wires hanging from the ceiling in the foreground, these are given a shallow depth value in the depthmap, and when rendered correctly, allows the character to walk "behind" the wires but in front of other objects in the room. So far I've tried creating a depth texture using: glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT, Image.GetWidth(), Image.GetHeight(), 0, GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, pixels); Then just binding it to a quad and rendering that over the screen, but it doesnt write the depth values from the texture. I've also tried: glDrawPixels(Image.GetWidth(), Image.GetHeight(), GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, pixels); But this slows down my framerate to about 0.25 fps... I know that you can do this in a pixelshader by setting the gl_fragDepth to a value from the texture, but I wanted to know if I could achieve this with non-pixelshader enabled hardware?

• Drawbacks to using background-repeat only for colors?

  So I need some custom colors on a layout, but I'm looking for a better way of doing it other than just slapping a giant picture with (background: url(something.jpg)) in the layout. Mostly I'm thinking of getting a color palette (i.e. from Adobe Kuler, colourlovers, etc.), getting a 5x5 sample of each color and sticking them in an array for CSS sprites or just as separate files and accessing them through: .color-one {transparent url(./one.gif) repeat} and just reusing that whenever I'd like to use the color. Are there any drawbacks to doing it this way? And if there are should I just stick with web-safe colors or is there a better way of doing this?

Let me paint the picture – I’m running a timed service that use an OdbcDataReader and SqlBulkCopy to (1) archive the data (2) normalize the data on a SQL box. When I run this code in a windows form proj. it works fine. Then, when I change the DNS’s Data Directory Path to a local drive, instead of the network share (just simulated the environment locally), it works as well. I’m obviously missing something. Detailed requirement goes this way: 1) I have developped a web application using .NET (3.5) named "abc.com". 2) There are some third party applications which will be launched from "abc.com" 3) If I have logged in to "abc.com" and now if I launch any of the supported third party applications then it should not ask for login information again. From last few days I have been reading Shibboleth from https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/Home I have also installed Identity provider (IdP) and Service Provide (SP) from https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/SHIB2/Installation Still I am unable to make out how my "abc.com", third party application and Shibboleth will fit into one picture? • php gdlib angle problem

  I'm using php gd lib 5.2.13 and tried to make a picture with imagettftext ($image, $color and $font are defined of course). imagettftext($image, 12, 90, 10, 20, $black, $font, "This.is_a test 123"); //image, font size, angle, x value, y value, color, font, text As you can see I want the angle to be 90°. The problem is that the text is not beeing rotated properly, e.g. the dots are at the top (and not at the bottom) of the text. I read that this is a common issue and has been fixed in php gdlib 5.3, But since I have 5.2.13 running on a webhost (...) is there a solution to rotate it properly with using gdlib 5.2.13? Thanks!

• Rails 3.1 assets not recognizing new images uploaded by rmagick until server restart

  I have my Rails 3.1.0 application running with passenger in production environment and I have a section where the application allows the user to change his profile picture so I upload the image using an ajax uploader and in my controller I upload the file and generate different sizes for the image with rmagick then I render the new image with an image_tag but the application won't show the image till I restart the server. What I get is No route matches [GET] "assets/path/to/image.png" If I restart the server It will show the image, but obviously I can't be restarting the server every once a user uploads a new image. How can I solve the keeping the assets working the right way?

I need to format those data with some fonts,bold,italics,color, background color etc., Besides ordinary data, there will be Picture files (JPG) also. I need to add those into the Excel. I know retrieving values from Excel using QAxWidget, QAxObject. But I don't have a clue about the formatting options that can be applied to cells through Qt and adding images as well?? • MC75 using symbol.imaging.device libraries for program

  UPDATE: I found another library in the Windows Mobile - CameraCaptureDialog - this did the job - never did figure out the zero length available devices... Hi all, I have a .net application running on a symbol mc75 (motorola) using the scanner. I am now trying to add functionality for the camera and I am running into issues. To find the 'devices' you are supposed to use the library's 'available devices' function. With the barcode it is symbol.barcode.devices.availabledevices and it returns two items (you can scan from the scanner or using the camera device) However, when I do the camera library it does not find any devices - symbol.imaging.devices.availabledevices returns 0 I can take a picture using the software on the mc75, so I know the functionality is there, I just can't figure out how to get to it programmatically.... Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help!
