• Why doesn't this piece of php code work?

  Hey guys, I have a mysql database which stores an id for each picture, as well as the picture's url and its thumbnail url. the thumbnail url is something like thumbs/pic.jpg and the page I'm creating has the folder thumbs in the same place it is created. • HLSL/XNA Ambient light texture mixed up with multi pass lighting

  I've been having some troubles lately with lighting. I have found a source on google which is working pretty good on the example. However, when I try to implement it to my current project, I am getting some very weird bugs. The main one is that my textures are "mixed up" when I only activate the ambient light, which means that a model gets the texture of another one . I am using the same effect for every meshes of my models. I guess this could be the problem, but I don't really know how to "reset" an effect for a new model. Is it possible?   I'm quite new to Perl and I'm trying to build a hash recursively and getting nowhere. I tried searching for tutorials to dynamically build hashes, but all I could find were introductory articles about hashes. I would be grateful if you point me towards the right direction or suggest a nice article/tutorial. • How to By Pass Request Validation

  Hi, I have a GridView and I need update some data inserting HTML CODE; I would need this data been stored encoded and decoded on request. I cannot in any way disable globally "Request Validation" and not even at Page Level, so I would need a solution to disable "Request Validation" at Control Level. At the moment I am using a script which should Html.Encode every value being update, butt seems that "Request Validation" start its job before event RowUpdating, so I get the Error "Page A potentially dangerous Request.Form ... ". Any idea how to solve it? • What is the difference between these two LINQ statements?

  I had the 1nd statement in my code and found it not giving an accurate count, it was returning 1 when the correct answer is 18. To try and debug the problem I broke it out creating the 2nd statement here and the count returns 18. I just don't see what the difference is between these two. It seems like the 1st is just more compact. • Basic PHP question for Drupal Views theming

  My PHP and programming knowledge is extremely basic, so this is probably a dumb question: I am theming a View in Drupal 6, and I want to add an id with a consecutive number to each item in the view (first item would have the id #item1, the second #item2, etc). I am customizing the style output (views-view-unformatted--MYVIEWNAME.tpl.php) and the row style output (views-view-fields--MYVIEWNAME.tpl.php), and I want to add a counter variable in the foreach loop in the style output tpl, and then use that variable in the row style output tpl, but the last one is not recognizing the variable. It does not give me any errors, but doesnt print the number. I understand this has probably something to do with variables visibility, how can I declare the counter variable in the style .tpl so I can the use it in the row style .tpl? Thank you

  I think I know what the answer to this question is probably going to be, but I thought I'd go ahead and ask it anyway. It appears that within NHibernate if I do something like this: IList<Customer> customers = Session.CreateCriteria(typeof(Customer)) .Add(Restrictions.Eq("Name", "Steve") .List<Customer>(); And I want to then delete that list of customers. From what I can tell the only way to do it is like this: foreach(var customer in customers) { Session.Delete(customer); } But what I'm wondering is if there's any way I can just go: Session.Delete(customers); And delete the entire collection with a single call?

  Hi all. I'm getting a stuck. Suppose that I create 5 sites. For each one, I create a few sharepoint groups. So, I create a dropdownlist control to bind 5 sites and when I click on any site there, I will get sharepoint groups created on it. But I always see the dropdownlist used to bind these groups still never change. I mean it only binds a few default groups in sahrepoint everytime. The new created groups is not. And I have confusion like this web.AssociatedGroups web.Groups web.SiteGroups which one we will use this case ?   Can a PowerShell function determine if it is being run as part of a pipeline? I have a function which populates an array with instances of FileInfo which I would like to "yield" to the pipeline if the function is being run this way or produce some pretty output if the function is being invoked by itself from the command line. function Do-Something { $file_infos = @() # Populate $file_infos with FileInfo instances... if (INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE) { return $file_infos } else { foreach ($file_info in $file_infos) { write-host -foregroundcolor yellow $file_info.fullname } } } Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to implement INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE. If it is run in a pipeline (e.g. Do-Something | format-table fullname), I would simply yield the array, but if run directly (e.g. Do-Something), it would simply pretty-print the output. Is there a way to do this? If there is a more "idiomatic" way to achieve this kind of thing, I would also be interested to know.

The problem is that I'm trying to use a variable with ::ldap::add and it's just not working.   In my class, I want to use a dictionary with the following declaration: Dictionary<string, T[]> Since the operations of my class are exactly the same for all generic types, I do not wish to define my class as generic (which means I would have to create a separate instance of my class for each generic type I insert into the dictionary ?). Meaning - I have changeable number of children and would like to lay out them horizontally like: Example: Control1, Control2, Control3, ...   I have a report (Reporting Services) integrated into an ASP.NET that shows dropdownlists to select report parameter values. The dropdownlists are populated using direct database selects, though I see the report RDL files do contain the paramter values and datasets as defined in the report designer. Is it possible to obtain the report parameters "available values" in ASP.NET to populate the dropdownlists? This would avoid some code duplication.   Why default factory WON'T return full name of the controllers (with namespaces)?   Hey, my app parses numerous txt files in a directory that are almost all formatted identically, then inserts the values into columns of my sql db. However, there are a few files that the app has come across where a value is 'blank' instead of '0.0', so the application fails stating that it cannot convert that value to numeric.
