    Folks, I am pulling all my Flash (pure AS3 project, not Flash CS3) content from a Drupal back-end for SEO purposes. This works great, except the HTML rendering built into the TextField object leaves a lot to be desired. Could anyone recommend any libraries that would allow me to display HTML elements?   • andriod emulator application deployment error.

    Hi Fellows, I have developed an application in Rhodes framework and deployed the application in an android emulator. When i try to access the application i get the following error, SD card error,Application cant access the SD card while its mounted.Please unmount the device and stop the adb server before launching the application. i have tried to unmount the SD card in the emulator but i am unable to do that.   • Managing timezone in php with ics date/time format

    Ok, I'm using an ICS parser utility to parse google calendar ICS files. It works great, except google is feeding me the times of the events at UCT.. so I need to subtract 5 hours now, and 6 hours when daylight savings happens. To get the start time I'm using: $timestart = date("g:iA",strtotime(substr($event['DTSTART'], 9, -3))); //$event['DTSTART'] feeds me back the date in ICS format: 20100406T200000Z So any suggestions how to handle timezone and daylight savings time?   • Why is there a black bar on top of my iPhone/iPad app when I run it on the iPhone simulator?

    Whenever I run my iPhone / iPad app in the iPhone simulator, a black bar appears along the top of the screen which I can't seem to get rid of. On the iPad simulator, however, it looks fine and works great. Also tapping one of the buttons seems to cause a white screen to appear instead of the view on the iPhone, while on the iPad it doesn't seem to be troublesome. Thanks, Anthony Glyadchenko

    Hi There, I am trying to build a system that allows a user to select an image from their own computer, and crop it using the jCrop tool from jQuery. My question is can I show the image the user has selected from their system without uploading it to a system, I dont really want to do two uploads, unless I can do the first upload silently?   • link_to passing paramater and display problem - tag feature - Ruby on Rails

    I have gotten a great deal of help from KandadaBoggu on my last question and very very thankful for that. As we were getting buried in the comments I wanted to break this part out. I am attempting to create a tag feature on the rails blog I am developing. The relationship is Post has_many :tags and Tag belongs_to :post. Adding and deleting tags to posts are working great. In my /view/posts/index.html.erb I have a section called tags where I am successfully querying the Tags table, grouping them and displaying the count next to the tag_name (as a side note, I mistakenly called the column containing the tag name, 'tag_name' instead of just 'name' as I should have) . In addition the display of these groups are a link that is referencing the index method in the PostsController. That is where the problem is. When you navigate to /posts you get an error because there is no parameter being passed (without clicking the tag group link). I have the .empty? in there so not sure what is going wrong here.     Why is locking a type considered very bad? For example, lock(typeof(DateTime)) I understand that static methods of any class in .net is considered thread safe, and that instance members are not. So it isn't necessary to lock DateTime while you are using it. The book I am reading doesn't explain why it is bad it just says it is. Any explanation will be great.

    Hey Guys I am trying to remove all the relative image path slashes from a chunk of HTML that contains several other elements. For example <img src="../../../../images/upload/1/test.jpg /> would need to become <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/website/images/upload/1/test.jpg" /> I was thinking of writing this as a rails helper, and just passing the entire block into the method, and make using Nokogiri or Hpricot to parse the HTML instead, but I don't really know.   • need major webcam help for project!!

    hey guys i have a porject where i have to be able to view my webcam on my mobile phone, which happens to be a blackberry bold 9700 but can also get a hold of an i pod touch so either phone is ok to use. the problem that i have is that everytime i do a search for help on this i end up with a program which enevitably asks for money and this is not allowd in the project, ive been trying to stream using vlc player and viewing it on the opera mini for blackberry but no such luck so far, any help would be great thanks a lot
