    If a large number is subtracted from a smaller number then borrow is needed. The carry flag plays the role of borrow during the subtraction operation. Now suppose we want to subtract 56 from 66, obviously the borrow is needed and carry flag will be set. Now how this subtraction is performed to get the result -10, how computer will distinguish that the result is going to be a negative number. Please explain the process.

    I'm developing an .NET4 webapplication using MVC3. Let's say i'm getting the following DateTime as string from an XML-feed. The xml feed is being read by my application and i'm looping through all it's descendants. The DateTime i'm receiving is begin returned in the following format (as string); var myDateTime = "Sun Dec 19 11:45:45 +0000 2010" I'm using the piece of code below to try and parse the DateTime string i mentioned above to a valid DateTime format (preferably dutch) var CorrectDateTime = DateTime.ParseExact(myDateTime , "dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); When trying to execute this code i'm facing an formatexception. Somebody has got any ideas?

    Hello, I've seen in this topic (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37586/consuming-web-services-from-oracle-pl-sql) that it's possible to modify the soap_api package from oracle (http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/9i/ConsumingWebServices9i.php) to :"extended the SOAP_API package to allow the client code to arbitrarily insert an extra tag. So you can insert a sub-level such as , continue to build the request, and remember to insert a closing tag". I'm interrested for this application. Do you know if this package exists ?     I have a membership based website and im planning on implementing a referral system. My website is credit based, the idea is that if User X refers User Y, then User X gets 100 bonus credits. Has anybody built a referral system before and if so what obstacles should I bear in mind? I've had a snoop round SO tonight but couldn't find any suitable answers. My theory is to give each user a random string which is generated and stored in the DB when they sign up, The user will then be presented with a URL incl. that string which when they pass to somebody (User Z), User Z is then sent to a page, the page then uses the GET method to gather the Random string and update the DB Row they currently occupy, does this sound feasible or could it easily be breached?     Hi guys I have a problem that has lately being bugging me on 2 different computers What is happening is that I press F5, to compile my website, the website loads, but I cannot debug! Its like I am not running the website from visual studio at all. And then sometimes I restart my PC, and it comes back to normal.   • Python multithreading, How is it using multiple Cores?

    I am running a multithreaded application(Python2.7.3) in a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz. I thought it would be using only one core but using the "top" command I see that the python processes are constantly changing the core no. Enabling "SHOW THREADS" in the top command shows diffrent thread processes working on different cores. Can anyone please explain this? It is bothering me as I know from theory that multithreading is executed on a single core.

  • Problem with using the XPATH functions

    I've got a problem with using the XPATH functions. When I try to call some functions like lower-case or upper-case etc,they are not executed and I can't figure the problem out. I included the namespace xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions" at the top of my XSL stylesheet and use fn namespace to call these functions but anyway nothing is working. Can anyone explain the reason and what I should do in order to be able to use the following functions? Cheers
