WebBrowser control HTMLDocument automate selecting option drop-down

I'm trying to automate in a WinForm using a WebBrowser control to navigate and pull report info from a website. You can enter values in textboxes and invoke the click events for buttons and links, but I have not figured out how select a option drop-down .... in a automated way. django modelformset - one form per related table row

Hello, I have two models: class Model1(): name = CharField() url = CharField() class Model2(): model1 = ForeignKey(Model1) user = ForeignKey(User) zzz = CharField() There are 5 rows for model1 in the database, these are fixed and will rarely change. I need to display a formset for model2 that allows users to enter the zzz value, the formset must always show one form per row in the model1 table, the label for each form in the formset must be the name of the related model1. If the user deletes a model2 in the formset the next time the page loads it will render an empty zzz value for that form and the user must be able to edit the previous zzz value - meaning it must be pre populated with all model2 rows associated with the user. The idea is to print each row in the model1 table as a form instead of the user selecting the related model1 name in a select box. I know its not that complicated, but I'm seriously stumped and keep going round in circles!! Many thanks in advance. Closing ASPxPopupControl and Reset Login Dialogs

I am creating a login usercontrol. I have added the following buttons: Recover Password, Change Password & Edit Profile. I am using DevExpress's ASPxPopupControl to host the functions associated with those three buttons. There are two problems When the popup is opened I need to be able to close/hide it using a command button When a user starts using one of the login controls and chooses to close the dialog the next time the dialog is opened it does not start at the beginning. (e.g. Start the change password dialog, enter some information, close the popup; the information you started with is not cleared) Any ideas?

Using RIA Services FilterDescriptor from code behind

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to use the FilterDescriptor control from code behind? On the page load of my form I set the datasource of a grid in the code behind, not using a DomainDataSource control, like: TestDomainContext context = new TestDomainContext(); dataGridEmployees.ItemsSource = context.EmployeePositions; context.Load(context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery()); I have a textbox on my page that the user can enter into to filter on employee position. Is it now possible to add FilterDescriptor to the source of the DataGrid in code behind? Or would I manually need to filter the results of the context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery, for example on KeyUp event of the filter TextBox?

Headers to set for AJAX calls in a custom webserver

I'm writing a custom web server. When I enter the URL of my server in the browser, I get the sample text I write out to the socket in my browser correctly. This is the HTTP response that I write: HTTP/1.1 200 OK\r\n Server: My Server\r\n Date: Blah\r\n \r\n This is some sample text. This appears in my browser correctly when I connect directly to the server entering the URL. However, if I use Ajax (jQuery) to access the same URL and then set the innerHTML of an element on the HTML page, I do not get any data printed. Is there any other header I need to set on my web server so that the browser's XMLHttpRequest object detects the response?

Jmesa table page navigation

I am new to Jmesa and am trying to use it on my jsp page. I use exactly same JSP and controller code as the example on http://code.google.com/p/jmesa/wiki/JSPTagExample . The table shows up and looks fine. The problem is non of the buttons on the toolbar are working. E.g. page navigation arrows, etc. What might be wrong with my code( As I said it is exactly same as the example). Should I add extra code for page navigation? Thanks, Sara. Update: I found out what the problem is, after I enter toolbar buttons it routes to "localhost:8080/portal/projectTag.run?maxRows=4&projectTag_tr_=true&projectTag_p_=1&projectTag_mr_=4" "Instead of "localhost:8080/portal/page/projects/projectTag.run?maxRows=4&projectTag_tr_=true&projectTag_p_=1&projectTag_mr_=4" So it doesn't include the "/page/projects" in the url. How can I add that?

JTwitter OAuth signpost example

Hey. I believe JTwitter supports OAuth to authenticate against a developer account , however i cannot get any of them working. Should journal entries be recorded in a database design? In the real world it makes sense to keep a daily entry book, then later transfer the daily entry book into double entry accounts. but in the computerized version, doing this produces duplicate records and that doesn't quite make sense? ???? Cannot access MOSS site from within MOSS server

I am trying to access my MOSS site through the browser on the web server itself. I am using the same URL that is used for external access to the site. When I hit it from outside the server, I can see most of the site, which has anonymous access, and can use a domain account to get into secure areas. When I hit it from within the server, I get prompted for a password, but no matter what I enter it seems to reject it and just presents another password dialog. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Facebook FQL Question

After browsing the MVC section on CodePlex I noticed that the [Authorize] attribute in MVC returns a HttpUnauthorizedResult() when authorization fails (codeplex AuthorizeAttribute class). In the source of HttpUnauthorizedResult() from CodePlex is the code (I'm not allowed to enter another URL as my rep isn't high enough, but replace the numbers on the URL above with 22929#266476): // 401 is the HTTP status code for unauthorized access - setting this // will cause the active authentication module to execute its default // unauthorized handler context.HttpContext.Response.StatusCode = 401; In particular, the comment describes the authentication module's default unauthorized handler. I can't seem to find any information on this default unauthorized handler. In particular, I'm not using FormsAuthentication and when authorization fails I get an ugly IIS 401 error page. Does anyone know about this default unauthorized handler, and in particular how FormsAuthentication hooks itself in to override it? I'm writing a really simple app for my football team who confirm or deny whether they can play a particular match. If I enable FormsAuthentication in the web.config the redirect works, but I'm not using FormsAuthentication and I'd like to know if there's a workaround.

What to do with CSV after export on the iPhone?

One of the requested features for my apps is to have an export feature. Most of the time the data is table-like in nature. As an example, users might enter every day what types of food they ate that day, and how many portions of each food type. As the data is table-like, I figure the most useful for export would be into CSV format. Then it can be read in spreadsheet software. I'm confident I can get the data into a CSV like format without too much trouble, and found this post would should help me: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1512883/how-to-convert-data-to-csv-or-html-format What I'm wondering about is what I can do with the file once it has been created? Can I attach it to an email? How else can I make it available to the user so that it has some use? hide keyboard in iphone safari webapp

I'm creating a webapp for the iPhone, based in HTML/CSS/JS. I'm using forms to receive input and pass data to the script, but a problem I'm encountering is that the keyboard won't disappear. The user will enter the information, hit submit, and since it's JavaScript the page doesn't reload. The keyboard remains in place, which is a nuisance and adds another step for users (having to close it). Is there any way to force the keyboard in Safari to go away? Essentially, I have a feeling this question is equivalent to asking how I can force an input box to lose focus or to blur. Looking online, I find plenty of examples to detect the blur event, but none to force this event to occur.

Sending emails to site subscribers

I have a site where people enter their email address to be reminded of a weekly posting. I only send them the weekly email that they double-opt-in for. I do not sell, trade, expose, or do anything else with their address. Right now I have a bit of a hack, connecting to a large email providers SMTP server to send the emails. As the site grows I fear that my emails will be marked as spam and that I will be violating the TOS of the provider. I'm considering two options, building an in-house SMTP server or using a mailing list service. Is there a best-known-method for this? I'd really prefer to simply build my email and use a script to send them through the SMTP server rather then use some GUI to build the email and import a list of addresses. But previous experience tells me that running a mail server and not being marked as spam can be difficult. Help!?

IBM has (had) a free learn-Java program called RoboCode, in which custom robots could be written that would then do battle in a 2D space. I would like to write the environment that supports such robots, but don't know what pattern or design to use. Each robot is a thread. Each thread is given a certain (indeterminate) amount of run-time by the JRE. A robot world engine would start by building a list of the players/robots, then enter a loop that allows each player in turn to do whatever it likes: move forward, turn left, fire toward the northwest corner, whatever. Each robot is also informed of events of interest: an enemy or several enemies are within range, it has been hit by a bullet, etc. The combination of handling threads that are also event listeners (are they also producers?) confuses me; it seems that there's more to the game engine. Even some general ideas would help. TIA.

UIView Animation: PartialCurl ...bug during rotate?

Hello all, a short question. I've created an app for the iPad, much like a utility app for the iPhone (one mainView, one flipSideView). The animation between them is UIModalTransitionStylePartialCurl. shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation is returning YES. If I rotate the device BEFORE entering the FlipSide, everything is okay and the PartialCurl is displayed okay. But if I enter the FlipSide and then rotate the device, while the UIElements do rotate and position themselves just fine, the actual "page curl" stays with its initial orientation. it just won't budge :) Is it a known issue? am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
