  • Ext JS - Can I 'chain' methods on a field ??

    HI, I am just trying to set a field value and disable it at the same time. Can this be done in ext js? The docs are very weak on this subject. something like this generates errors: myForm.getForm().findField('start_date').setValue('').setDisabled(true); I'm used to JQuery which does this sort of thing nicely but haven't had luck with Ext. Thanks for any help.

    i am doing a delete with a LIKE statement my keybuffer is 25m, the sort buffer size is 256k the delete has been taking over 2 hours should i increase memory usage? there are about 50 megs of data in the table from which i am deleting, thats about 500,000 rows is there anything else i can do on the adminsitration size to speed up this delete?

Table A has following columns: id name description Table B has the following columns: id a_id(foreign key to Table A) ip_address date Basically Table B contains a row for each time a user views a row from Table A. My question is how do I sort Table A results, based on the number of matching rows in Table B. i.e SELECT * FROM TableA ORDER BY (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TableB where TableB.a_id = TableA.id) Thank you!

    This is my first question on Stack Overflow, I would like to know about any c programming books that have real programs to introduce real problems as opposed to standard books with examples aimed to teach the language it should be sort of like a challenge with solutions so that concepts like recursion can be used i know that i should find solutions to existing problems to learn the language but this is my first attempt and i find it hard to understand some simple problems so i was hoping for a book with solutions.

    I have a column defined like this: <DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=FileSizeBytes, Mode=OneWay}" Header="Size" IsReadOnly="True" /> But instead of displaying the file size as a big number, I'd like to display units, but still have it sort by the actual FileSizeBytes. Is there some way I can run it through a function or something before displaying it?

    I have a tableview that my app shows when it loads, I would like to somehow put a banner at the bottom that if connceted to the internet will check my server for any new image files and if there are it will replace the current one and if not it will just leave it. Result Is: <input id="SortBy" name="SortBy" type="hidden" value=""/>. The value is null and it's not being passed but all the other hidden fields such as carMake and etc have value. But when I use foreach it works perfect. Question Why is this like this? the SortBy is in the same model class as other fields in the view. The only difference is that SortBy is not being filled in the Index view with other fields, instead it's being filled in controller action. What is the explanation for this? Am I missing any C# definition or something such as dynamic objects or something?

  • In C, during step by step debugging in a function, how can i view the content of an array in the "Autos?" window along with the other variables?

    I'm using VS 2012, and I'm working on a bubble sort. After searching I found a nifty trick to see the content of the array in the "Watch 1" tab, (How to view contents of an array while debugging in Code Blocks?), but going from "watch 1" to "Autos" every step to see what's changing in the array isn't practical at all. How can i see the array content within "Autos" along side my other changing variables, where i need it to show?

  • Should the function or the caller be resonsible for input validation?

    I'm doing a security audit on a fairly large php application and was wondering where I should include my user-input validation. Should I validate the data, then send the clean data off to the back-end functions or should I rely on each function to do it's own validation? Or even both? Is there any standard or best-practice for this sort of thing? Currently the app does both inconsistently and I'll like to make things more consistent.
