  • Possible to download entire whois database / list of registered domains?

    I wanted to do some analysis on registered domain names. Looks like I can hit whois.internic.net to get information about each domain, but it also looks like there are rate limits that prevent me from doing large numbers of queries. Is there a way to periodically (say daily) grab the entire whois database? I really only care about whether a domain is registered or not, so I don't need the full whois information.

I'd like to get: * at least keyboard and mouse input * on at least the big three operating systems * Small/fast * C or C++ * permissive licensing gpl2/mit/free/etc. So far I've seen: * OIS (used in Ogre) http://sourceforge.net/projects/wgois/ * SDL (used everywhere it seems, might be a clue) http://www.libsdl.org/index.php * Allegro http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/readme.html Has any one used any of these, or know of something else that might be good?     Hi, I am having a problem after opening the notepad once I click the button "btnSearch". The idea is that once I clicked the button 'btnSearch', the textbox 'txtSearch' should be 'focused' even after a process was initiated/opened outside the main window.   • Ruby on Rails: Find records based on a method in the model?

    I'm looking to use named_scope to find records based on a method in the model. Right now I have in my Order.rb model: def self.paid collect { |order| order if order.paid? } end # the method def paid order.payments.total >= order.total_price end That works, but I can't chain it if I have a shipped named_scope: named_scope :shipped, :conditions => "shipped is true" And I wanted to do: Order.paid.shipped which doesn't work. Any ideas?

I know it can be done from a Java environment, but I am wondering about the opportunities with modern web languages like Ruby or Python. The latter is considered to be "more scientific" (at least used in that environment), but using Google there seems to be a preliminary ProLog implementation for both.     Hello, i want to ask if there is any way to generate the shortest path from node A to node B without generating the shortest paths to all the other nodes (stop when node B is in the examined set) with A-star in QuickGraph. I want to plug QuickGraph into a game and thus generating all the paths is not allowed from the time limitations the environment imposes.     Hi Does SQUID (for Windows specifically) it have an interface for reviewing internet usage? More specifically if I wanted a way to track, for my PC at work, it's internet usage on a per application/service basis (e.g. browser vs calendar synch service etc), would SQUID for Windows help me here? (i.e. would it act as a transparent proxy for anything running on my PC, then keep a history of internet usage against which process requested the access)

    I get a crash like this: #0 0x2c58def0 in raise () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #1 0x2d9b8958 in abort () from /lib/libc.so.0 #2 0x2d9b7e34 in __malloc_consolidate () from /lib/libc.so.0 #3 0x2d9b6dc8 in malloc () from /lib/libc.so.0 I guess it is a heap corruption issue. uclibc does not have mcheck/mprobe. Valgrind does not seem to MIPS support and my app (which is multi-threaded) depends on hw specific drivers. Any suggestions to check the consistency of the heap and to detect corruption?
