  IS THERE A WAY FOR A OPTION TO SELECT WHICH PDFS TO SHOW WITH THE FPDI FUNCTION?   Hi, With sifr, how do I make a font use the light weight version. I have... var gillsans = { src: '/resources/swf/gillsans.swf' }; sIFR.activate(gillsans); sIFR.replace(gillsans, { selector: 'h1', css: '.sIFR-root { background-color: #FFFFFF; color: #000000; text-transform:uppercase; }' }); which is displaying regular Gill Sans, the light version has been exported with the swf (said so in the export report), but how do I get it to display in sifr?

• Large number of Google Map Markers and IE6?

  I'm working on an application that generates a large number of Google Map markers (2000 - 7000) via JSON. I'm also using MarkerCluster. It works quick on Chrome and FF but IE6 takes few minutes and just crashes the first time I try to zoom in. I'm not doing any more than just adding the markers to a map using JQuery & GMap API. So I looked at the following URL of the regular Google Map. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=hotel&sll=53.182996,-2.581787&sspn=1.494529,4.927368&ie=UTF8&split=1&rq=1&ev=p&hq=hotel&hnear=&ll=53.123702,-2.730103&spn=1.496594,4.927368&t=h&z=8 It shows a lot of tiny markers (~1000) and works fine on IE6. Do you have any ideas why this works and the markers added via the API struggles? Thanks

• How can I search for numbers in a varchar column

  I've got a simple nvarchar(25) column in an SQL database table. Most of the time, this field should contain alphanumeric text. However, due to operator error, there are many instances where it contains only a number. Can I do a simple search in SQL to identify these cases? That is, determine which rows in the table contain only digits in this column. As an extension, could I also search for those column values which contain only digits and a space and/or slash. In other languages (eg. Perl, Java) a regular expression would resolve this quickly and easily. But I haven't been able to find the equivalent in SQL.

  I inherited a mysql database that has a table with columns like this: object_id, property, value It holds data like this: 1,first_name,Jane 1,last_name,Doe 1,age,10 1,color,red 2,first_name,Mike 2,last_name,Smith 2,age,20 2,color,blue 3,first_name,John 3,last_name,Doe 3,age,20 3,color,red ... Basically what I want to do is treat this table as a regular table. How would I get the id numbers (or all properties) of a person who is age 20 sorted by last and than first name? So far I have: SELECT object_id FROM table WHERE property = 'age' AND value = '20' union SELECT object_id FROM table WHERE property = 'color' AND value = 'red' But I'm not sure how to go about ordering the data. • map.resource, parameter restrictions

  I've a controller :platform here. I'm trying to do something like: /:platform_name/ to redirect to its show, with the parameter. Here is what I've got: map.resource :platform, :as => ':platform_name', :platform_name => /pc|ps2|ps3|wii|ds|psp|xbox-360/ It's working fine. I've other neasted resources to it, and all them are accessing. But. The problem is, I've only those platform names, but when it doesnt fine another route, it aways fall on this. if I try /whatever/, it will look for the *platform_name = whatever*. I was expecting it to fall into the map.connect ':controller/:action/:id' rule. When I did *:platform_name = /pc|ps2|ps3|wii|ds|psp|xbox-360/*, wasnt expected that this rule only apply when the regular expression is fit? how could i restrict this?

• Python raw strings and trailing back slashes.

  I ran across something once upon a time and wondered if it was a Python "bug" or at least a misfeature. I'm curious if anyone knows of any justifications for this behavior. I thought of it just now reading "Code Like a Pythonista," which has been enjoyable so far. I'm only familiar with the 2.x line of Python. Raw strings are strings that are prefixed with an r. This is great because I can use backslashes in regular expressions and I don't need to double everything everywhere. It's also handy for writing throwaway scripts on Windows, so I can use backslashes there also. (I know I can also use forward slashes, but throwaway scripts often contain content cut&pasted from elsewhere in Windows.) So great! Unless, of course, you really want your string to end with a backslash. There's no way to do that in a 'raw' string. In [9]: r'\n' Out[9]: '\\n' In [10]: r'abc\n' Out[10]: 'abc\\n' In [11]: r'abc\' ------------------------------------------------ File "<ipython console>", line 1 r'abc\' ^ SyntaxError: EOL while scanning string literal In [12]: r'abc\\' Out[12]: 'abc\\\\' So one slash before the closing quote is an error, but two slashes gives you two slashes! Certainly I'm not the only one that is bothered by this? Thoughts on why 'raw' strings are 'raw, except for slash-quote'? I mean, if I wanted to embed a single quote in there I'd just use double quotes around the string, and vice versa. If I wanted both, I'd just triple quote. If I really wanted three quotes in a row in a raw string, well, I guess I'd have to deal, but is this considered "proper behavior"?

  I've created an F# class to represent an array that allocates one element for each value of a specific enum. I'm using an explicit constructor that creates a dictionary from enum values to array indices, and an Item property so that you can write expressions like: let my_array = new EnumArray<EnumType, int> my_array.[EnumType.enum_value] <- 5 However, I'm getting the following obscure compilation error at the line marked with '// FS0670' below. error FS0670: This code is not sufficiently generic. The type variable ^e when ^e : enum<int> and ^e : equality and ^e : (static member op_Explicit : ^e -> int) could not be generalized because it would escape its scope. • Is there a way to parse XML via SAX/DOM with line numbers available per node.

  I already have written a DOM parser for a large XML document format that contains a number of items that can be used to automatically generate Java code. This is limited to small expressions that are then merged into a dynamically generated Java source file. So far - so good. Everything works. BUT - I wish to be able to embed the line number of the XML node where the Java code was included from (so that if the configuration contains uncompilable code, each method will have a pointer to the source XML document and the line number for ease of debugging). I don't require the line number at parse-time and I don't need to validate the XML Source Document and throw an error at a particular line number. I need to be able to access the line number for each node and attribute in my DOM or per SAX event. Any suggestions on how I might be able to achieve this? P.S. Also, I read the StAX has a method to obtain line number whilst parsing, but ideally I would like to achieve the same result with regular SAX/DOM processing in Java 4/5 rather than become a Java 6+ application or take on extra .jar files.

This where I get stuck. The file test.txt has the below UUID stored in it: self.uid = '5EFF837F-EFC2-4c32-A3D4-D15C7F9E1F22' I want to replace the part D15C7F9E1F22. I have also tried this: r = re.compile(r'(self.uid\s*=\s*)(\S+)') for l in fp: m1 = r.match(l) new=map(int,m1.group(2).split("-") new[4]='RHUI5345JO' But I cannot seem to match the string.   Hi I know how to add SL page as a whole to existing ASP.net application. We have existing ASP.net page with few tabs. Each tab is a user control. We want to add another tab, which will host Silverlight content. Is it possible to add silverlight content in one of the tabs of a page? Any example links? I am adding html to a panel dynamically and I am trying to create a popup link. The problem is that for some reason the link gets "mixed up". • Paypal recuring IPN signals

  When creating Paypal recurring payments i don't receive any notifications from IPN that the recurring payments were actually made. I do receive the notifications that recurring profiles are created, that regular payments are made, that profile is canceled and so on. But no notifications when Paypal make the recurring payment. The file that process the ipn notification works fine and i think is bug free.It also send me an email every time he got something from Paypal(with row POST data) so i don't think the problem is here. Does Paypal send these notifications.If i set a daily recurring payment i should get a daily notification that payment was made? From what i read in documentation i should get these signals but.. • Why Is my UISlider Thumb Image Being Shown Multiple Times and Not Disappearing As They Should?

  This slider is possessed: When I move the slider thumb left or right, it leaves the original image there (creating an extra image). This doesn't happen every time and the only consistency i've noticed is that it's inconsistent. When the table is in "Editing mode" it is more likely to create a duplicate thumb image, but it also does so in regular mode.   Hello! I wonder how calculators work with precision. For example the value of sin(M_PI) is not exactly zero when computed in double precision: #include <math.h> #include <stdio.h> int main() { double x = sin(M_PI); printf("%.20f\n", x); // 0.00000000000000012246 return 0; } Now I would certainly want to print zero when user enters sin(p). I can easily round somewhere on 1e–15 to make this particular case work, but that’s a hack, not a solution. When I start to round like this and the user enters something like 1e–20, they get a zero back (because of the rounding). The same thing happens when the user enters 1/10 and hits the = key repeatedly — when he reaches the rounding treshold, he gets zero. And yet some calculators return plain zero for sin(p) and at the same time they can work with expressions such as (1e–20)/10 comfortably. Where’s the trick?

• What's the best way to resolve this scope problem?

  I'm writing a program in python that uses genetic techniques to optimize expressions. Constructing and evaluating the expression tree is the time consumer as it can happen billions of times per run. So I thought I'd learn enough c++ to write it and then incorporate it in python using cython or ctypes. I've done some searching on stackoverflow and learned a lot. This code compiles, but leaves the pointers dangling. I tried 'this_node = new Node(...' . It didn't seem to work. And I'm not at all sure how I'd delete all the references as there would be hundreds. I'd like to use variables that stay in scope, but maybe that's not the c++ way. • Service Application too visible

  Working on a service application in Delphi 5 that is intended to run on Windows XP - 7. Most of the application is coming together nicely, but I'm running into one issue. Part of this service application is a form that displays data occasionally (similar to the slider box Avast uses to let you know its updated). When the service shows the form, the form displays on the taskbar, but we don't want it to. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to hide the form's button on the taksbar? None of the standard methods I've found for regular applications have worked so far. Thanks.

  I am not strong in regex, and pretty new to Scala. I would like to be able to find a match between the first letter of a word, and one of the letters in a group such as "ABC". In pseudocode, this might look something like: case Process(word) => word.firstLetter match { case([a-c][A-C]) => case _ => } } but I don't know how to grab the first letter in Scala instead of Java, how to express the regular expression properly, nor if it's possible to do this within a case class. • Can I create a collection in Scala that uses different equals/hashCode/compare implementations?

  I'm looking for as simple way to create an identity set. I just want to be able to keep track of whether or not I've "seen" a particular object while traversing a graph. I can't use a regular Set because Set uses "==" (the equals method in Scala) to compare elements. What I want is a Set that uses "eq." Is there any way to create a Set in Scala that uses some application-specified method for testing equality rather than calling equals on the set elements? I looked for some kind of "wrapEquals" method that I could override but did not find it. I know that I could use Java's IdentityHashMap, but I'm looking for something more general-purpose. Another idea I had was to just wrap each set element in another object that implements equals in terms of eq, but it's wasteful to generate tons of new objects just to get a new equals implementation.   This question is an extension of a previous one I have asked. I have a table (2014_05_31_transformed.Video) with a schema that looks like this. I have put up the JSON returned by the BigQuery API describing it's schema in this gist. I am trying to create a view against this table with an API call that looks like this: { 'view': { 'query': u 'SELECT deleted_mod_time FROM [2014_05_31_transformed.Video]' }, 'tableReference': { 'datasetId': 'latest_transformed', 'tableId': u 'Video', 'projectId': 'redacted' } } But, the BigQuery API is returning this error: HttpError: https://www.googleapis.com/bigquery/v2/projects/124072386181/datasets/latest_transformed/tables?alt=json returned "Invalid field name "deleted_mod_time.usec". Fields must contain only letters, numbers, and underscores, start with a letter or underscore, and be at most 128 characters long." The schema that the BigQuery API does not make any distinction between a TIMESTAMP data type and a regular nullable INTEGER data type, so I can't think of a way to programmatically correct this problem. Is there anything I can do, or is this a bug with BigQuery's view implementation?

  Hello, I'd like a post request to be sent once a certain text input field is changed, using javascript. I mean, the page is secured, but the request is sent to a non secured page. Is there a solution?
