  • Button click event in the Ogre3d for ios

    - by user1184398
Is it possible to access the button click event by using the cursor? These are the steps I followed for the button click event using the SDK trays m_pTrayMgr = new OgreBites::SdkTrayManager("TrayMgr", m_pRenderWnd, m_pMouse, this); I create the buttons m_LeftBtn = tray->createButton(OgreBites:: TL_LEFT, "sdk_button_down", "Left"); m_RightBtn = tray->createButton(OgreBites::TL_RIGHT, "sdk_button_up", "Right"); And I am calling this function void OgreFramework::buttonHit(OgreBites::Button* button) { if(button->getName().compare("sdk_button_down") == 0 ) { printf("XXX"); } } But the button hit function is not getting called... Could somebody provide some sample code? I'm not using any cursor for the click.

  • Mouse click firing twice

    - by Luke
I have recently switched to XUbuntu (14.04) and I have noticed that sometimes a mouse click is fired twice. E.g. I CTRL click a link and two tabs with the same content are opened in my browser. It's not behaviour I can reproduce consistently and seems to be random (to me). I also don't know of a good way to inspect the behaviour properly for debugging purposes. I have checked the double click time setting but this doesn't seem to have any impact on this. I also run XUbuntu (13.10) in a VM on my MacBook Air and this behaviour seems to absent there. At this point in time I can't really tell if this is related to the distribution or the fact that it runs in a VM. Any insights greatly appreciated.

  • Android: Nexus One - Geocoder causes IOException - works perfectly with other devices and emulator

    - by Stefan Klumpp
    The code below works perfectly for real devices running on 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0 as well as the emulator running on 2.1. However, executing it on the Nexus One (running 2.1) raises an IOException: java.io.IOException: Unable to parse response from server at android.location.Geocoder.getFromLocation(Geocoder.java:124) That's the code snippet where it happens: Double myLatitude = AppObject.myLocation.getLatitude(); Double myLongitude = AppObject.myLocation.getLongitude(); DEBUG.i(TAG, "My location: " + myLatitude + " | " + myLongitude); Geocoder geocoder = new Geocoder(MainActivity.this); java.util.List<Address> addressList; try { addressList = geocoder.getFromLocation(myLatitude, myLongitude, 5); if(addressList!=null && addressList.size()>0) { currentAddress = new String(); DEBUG.i(TAG,addressList.get(0).toString()); currentAddress = addressList.get(0).getAddressLine(0) + ", " + addressList.get(0).getAddressLine(1) + ", " + addressList.get(0).getAddressLine(2); } return true; } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); return false; }

  • python histogram one-liner

    - by mykhal
there are many ways, how to code histogram in Python. by histogram, i mean function, counting objects in an interable, resulting in the count table (i.e. dict). e.g.: >>> L = 'abracadabra' >>> histogram(L) {'a': 5, 'b': 2, 'c': 1, 'd': 1, 'r': 2} it can be written like this: def histogram(L): d = {} for x in L: if x in d: d[x] += 1 else: d[x] = 1 return d ..however, there are much less ways, how do this in a single expression. if we had "dict comprehensions" in python, we would write: >>> { x: L.count(x) for x in set(L) } but we don't have them, so we have to write: >>> dict([(x, L.count(x)) for x in set(L)]) however, this approach may yet be readable, but is not efficient - L is walked-through multiple times, so this won't work for single-life generators.. the function should iterate well also through gen(), where: def gen(): for x in L: yield x we can go with reduce (R.I.P.): >>> reduce(lambda d,x: dict(d, x=d.get(x,0)+1), L, {}) # wrong! oops, does not work, the key name is 'x', not x :( i ended with: >>> reduce(lambda d,x: dict(d.items() + [(x, d.get(x, 0)+1)]), L, {}) (in py3k, we would have to write list(d.items()) instead of d.items(), but it's hypothethical, since there is no reduce there) please beat me with a better one-liner, more readable! ;)

  • What is best practice about having one-many hibernate

    - by Patrick
Hi all, I believe this is a common scenario. Say I have a one-many mapping in hibernate Category has many Item Category: @OneToMany( cascade = {CascadeType.ALL},fetch = FetchType.LAZY) @JoinColumn(name="category_id") @Cascade( value = org.hibernate.annotations.CascadeType.DELETE_ORPHAN ) private List<Item> items; Item: @ManyToOne(targetEntity=Category.class,fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinColumn(name="category_id",insertable=false,updatable=false) private Category category; All works fine. I use Category to fully control Item's life cycle. But, when I am writing code to update Category, first I get Category out from DB. Then pass it to UI. User fill in altered values for Category and pass back. Here comes the problem. Because I only pass around Category information not Item. Therefore the Item collection will be empty. When I call saveOrUpdate, it will clean out all associations. Any suggestion on what's best to address this? I think the advantage of having Category controls Item is to easily main the order of Item and not to confuse bi-directly. But what about situation that you do want to just update Category it self? Load it first and merge? Thank you.

  • one-to-many with criteria question

    enter code hereI want to apply restrictions on the list of items, so only items from a given dates will be retrieved. Here are my mappings: <class name="MyClass" table="MyTable" mutable="false" > <cache usage="read-only"/> <id name="myId" column="myId" type="integer"/> <property name="myProp" type="string" column="prop"/> <list name="items" inverse="true" cascade="none"> <key column="myId"/> <list-index column="itemVersion"/> <one-to-many class="Item"/> </list> </class> <class name="Item" table="Items" mutable="false" > <cache usage="read-only"/> <id name="myId" column="myId" type="integer"/> <property name="itemVersion" type="string" column="version"/> <property name="startDate" type="date" column="startDate"/> </class> I tried this code: Criteria crit = session.createCriteria(MyClass.class); crit.add( Restrictions.eq("myId", new Integer(1))); crit = crit.createCriteria("items").add( Restrictions.le("startDate", new Date()) ); which result the following quires: select ... from MyTable this_ inner join Items items1_ on this_.myId=items1_.myId where this_.myId=? and items1_.startDate<=? followed by select ... from Items items0_ where items0_.myId=? But what I need is something like: select ... from MyTable this_ where this_.myId=? followed by select ... from Items items0_ where items0_.myId=? and items0_.startDate<=? Any idea how I can apply a criteria on the list of items?

  • Entity Framework One-To-One Mapping Issues

    - by Baddie
Using VS 2010 beta 2, ASP.NET MVC. I tried to create an Entity framework file and got the data from my database. There were some issues with the relationships, so I started to tweak things around, but I kept getting the following error for simple one-to-one relationships Error 1 Error 113: Multiplicity is not valid in Role 'UserProfile' in relationship 'FK_UserProfiles_Users'. Because the Dependent Role properties are not the key properties, the upper bound of the multiplicity of the Dependent Role must be *. myEntities.edmx 2024 My Users table is consists of some other many-to-many relationships to other tables, but when I try to make a one-to-one relationship with other tables, that error pops up. Users Table UserID Username Email etc.. UserProfiles Table UserProfileID UserID (FK for Users Table) Location Birthday

  • InvalidOperationException sequence contains more than one element even when only one element

    - by user310256
I have three tables, tblCompany table, tblParts table and a link table between them tblLinkCompanyParts. Since tblLinkCompanyParts is a link table so the columns that it has are LinkCompanyPartID(primary key), CompanyID from tblCompany table and PartID from tblParts as foreign keys. I have tied them up in the dbml file. In code if I write LinkCompanyParts.Parts (where LinkCompanyParts is an object of the tblLinkCompanyParts type) to get to the corresponding Part object I get the "InvalidOperationException: Sequence constains more than one element". I have looked at the data in the database and there is only one Parts record associated with the LinkCompanyPartID. The stack trace reads like at System.Linq.Enumerable.SingleOrDefault[TSource](IEnumerable`1 source) at System.Data.Linq.EntityRef`1.get_Entity() at ... I read about SingleOrDefault vs FirstOrDefault but since the link table should have a one-one mapping therefore I think SingleOrDefault should work and besides "SingleOrDefault" statement is being generated behind the scenes in the designer.cs file at the following line return this._Part.Entity; Any ideas?

  • Double Click to open Office docs is slow, File -> Open is fast.

    - by Keith
I have 2 unique networks. They both share similar architecture: Windows 2003 SBS SP2 Running Symantec Endpoint Running Symantec Information Foundation Shared drives off a data partition Clients running Office 2003 or 2007 Connect to file server through mapped drives When users try to open a file from their local PC by double clicking, it will take 30-60 seconds to open. When they do File - Open, those same documents open up almost immediately. So far I've tried the following - CCleaner to parse the registry of outdated mapped drives - Disabled "using DDE" - Disabled A/V - Reboot Any ideas beyond that? Figured this question belongs here instead of SU since its the same issue on different networks.

  • Has anyone noticed that a WPF file dialog will pass a click through to the UI when double clicking t

    - by Ben
I have some buttons on my WPF UI and I also need to choose files from time to time. I kept noticing strange problems where when I double-click an item in the file dialog, a button on the main UI would also get clicked. After experimenting, it seems that if you line up an item in the file dialog with a button behind it on the main UI and double click to select the file, it will single-click the button behind it as well. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just a freak bug with the way I have my UI laid out?

  • Hibernate - why use many-to-one to represent a one-to-one?

    - by aberrant80
I've seen people use many-to-one mappings to represent one-to-one relationships. I've also read this in a book by Gavin King and on articles. For example, if a customer can have exactly one shipping address, and a shipping address can belong to only one customer, the mapping is given as: <class name="Customer" table="CUSTOMERS"> ... <many-to-one name="shippingAddress" class="Address" column="SHIPPING_ADDRESS_ID" cascade="save-update" unique="true"/> ... </class> The book reasons as (quoting it): "You don't care what's on the target side of the association, so you can treat it like a to-one association without the many part." My question is, why use many-to-one and not one-to-one? What is it about a one-to-one that makes it a less desirable option to many-to-one? Thanks.

  • What subject do you discuss with your manager during a one-on-one?

    - by Martin
Every week, I have a 30 minutes meeting scheduled with my manager to talk about pretty much anything. So far, I haven't taken those one-on-one very seriously. As a new year resolution, I would like to take more seriously my one-on-ones with my manager. One way I though I could do that is to plan in advance (come up with a list of questions and/or agenda) my one-on-one. With the exception of the status report, what subject do you discuss with your manager during a one-on-one? Have you ever seen an agenda for one-on-one?

  • Update one-to-many EntityKey using Foreign Key

    - by User.Anonymous
To use by the easiest way Entity Framework, I use partial class to add Foreign Key on most important Entities Model. For example, I have an Entity "CONTACT" which have "TITLE", "FUNCTION" and others. When I update a CONTACT, with this code, Foreign Key are automatically updated : public int? TitId { get { if (this.TITLE_TIT != null) return TITLE_TIT.TIT_ID; return new Nullable<int>(); } set { this.TITLE_TITReference.EntityKey = new System.Data.EntityKey("Entities.TITLE_TIT", "TIT_ID", value); } } But I have a join with ACTIVITY, that can have many CONTACT, and I don't know how to update EntityKey on setters. public IEnumerable<EntityKeyMember> ActId { get { List<EntityKeyMember> lst = new List<EntityKeyMember>(); if (this.ACT_CON2 != null) { foreach (ACT_CON2 id in this.ACT_CON2.ToList()) { EntityKeyMember key = new EntityKeyMember(id.CON_ID.ToString(),id.ACT_ID); lst.Add(key); } } return lst; } set { this.ACT_CON2.EntityKey = new System.Data.EntityKey("Entities.ACT_CON2", value); } } How set many EntityKey ? Thank you.

  • Initialization of an ArrayList in one line.

    - by Macarse
I am willing to create a list of options to test something. I was doing: ArrayList<String> places = new ArrayList<String>(); places.add("Buenos Aires"); places.add("Córdoba"); places.add("La Plata"); I refactor the code doing: ArrayList<String> places = new ArrayList<String>(Arrays.asList("Buenos Aires", "Córdoba", "La Plata")); Is there a better way of doing this? Thanks for reading!

  • Many-to-one relationship in SQLAlchemy

    - by Arrieta
    This is a beginner-level question. I have a catalog of mtypes: mtype_id name 1 'mtype1' 2 'mtype2' [etc] and a catalog of Objects, which must have an associated mtype: obj_id mtype_id name 1 1 'obj1' 2 1 'obj2' 3 2 'obj3' [etc] I am trying to do this in SQLAlchemy by creating the following schemas: mtypes_table = Table('mtypes', metadata, Column('mtype_id', Integer, primary_key=True), Column('name', String(50), nullable=False, unique=True), ) objs_table = Table('objects', metadata, Column('obj_id', Integer, primary_key=True), Column('mtype_id', None, ForeignKey('mtypes.mtype_id')), Column('name', String(50), nullable=False, unique=True), ) mapper(MType, mtypes_table) mapper(MyObject, objs_table, properties={'mtype':Relationship(MType, backref='objs', cascade="all, delete-orphan")} ) When I try to add a simple element like: mtype1 = MType('mtype1') obj1 = MyObject('obj1') obj1.mtype=mtype1 session.add(obj1) I get the error: AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'cascade_iterator' Any ideas?

  • Predicting Likelihood of Click with Multiple Presentations

    - by Michel Adar
When using predictive models to predict the likelihood of an ad or a banner to be clicked on it is common to ignore the fact that the same content may have been presented in the past to the same visitor. While the error may be small if the visitors do not often see repeated content, it may be very significant for sites where visitors come repeatedly. This is a well recognized problem that usually gets handled with presentation thresholds – do not present the same content more than 6 times. Observations and measurements of visitor behavior provide evidence that something better is needed. Observations For a specific visitor, during a single session, for a banner in a not too prominent space, the second presentation of the same content is more likely to be clicked on than the first presentation. The difference can be 30% to 100% higher likelihood for the second presentation when compared to the first. That is, for example, if the first presentation has an average click rate of 1%, the second presentation may have an average CTR of between 1.3% and 2%. After the second presentation the CTR stays more or less the same for a few more presentations. The number of presentations in this plateau seems to vary by the location of the content in the page and by the visual attraction of the content. After these few presentations the CTR starts decaying with a curve that is very well approximated by an exponential decay. For example, the 13th presentation may have 90% the likelihood of the 12th, and the 14th has 90% the likelihood of the 13th. The decay constant seems also to depend on the visibility of the content. Modeling Options Now that we know the empirical data, we can propose modeling techniques that will correctly predict the likelihood of a click. Use presentation number as an input to the predictive model Probably the most straight forward approach is to add the presentation number as an input to the predictive model. While this is certainly a simple solution, it carries with it several problems, among them: If the model learns on each case, repeated non-clicks for the same content will reinforce the belief of the model on the non-clicker disproportionately. That is, the weight of a person that does not click for 200 presentations of an offer may be the same as 100 other people that on average click on the second presentation. The effect of the presentation number is not a customer characteristic or a piece of contextual data about the interaction with the customer, but it is contextual data about the content presented. Models tend to underestimate the effect of the presentation number. For these reasons it is not advisable to use this approach when the average number of presentations of the same content to the same person is above 3, or when there are cases of having the presentation number be very large, in the tens or hundreds. Use presentation number as a partitioning attribute to the predictive model In this approach we essentially build a separate predictive model for each presentation number. This approach overcomes all of the problems in the previous approach, nevertheless, it can be applied only when the volume of data is large enough to have these very specific sub-models converge.

  • Windows Azure Evolution &ndash; Deploy Web Sites (WAWS Part 3)

    - by Shaun
This is the sixth post of my Windows Azure Evolution series. After talked a bit about the new caching preview feature in the previous one, let’s back to the Windows Azure Web Sites (WAWS).   Git and GitHub Integration In the third post I introduced the overview functionality of WAWS and demonstrated how to create a WordPress blog through the build-in application gallery. And in the fourth post I covered how to use the TFS service preview to deploy an ASP.NET MVC application to the web site through the TFS integration. WAWS also have the Git integration. I’m not going to talk very detailed about the Git and GitHub integration since there are a bunch of information on the internet you can refer to. To enable the Git just go to the web site item in the developer portal and click the “Set up Git publishing”. After specified the username and password the windows azure platform will establish the Git integration and provide some basic guide. As you can see, you can download the Git binaries, commit the files and then push to the remote repository. Regarding the GitHub, since it’s built on top of Git it should work. Maarten Balliauw have a wonderful post about how to integrate GitHub to Windows Azure Web Site you can find here.   WebMatrix 2 RC WebMatrix is a lightweight web application development tool provided by Microsoft. It utilizes WebDeploy or FTP to deploy the web application to the server. And in WebMatrix 2.0 RC it added the feature to work with Windows Azure. First of all we need to download the latest WebMatrix 2 through the Web Platform Installer 4.0. Just open the WebPI and search “WebMatrix”, or go to its home page download its web installer. Once we have WebMatrix 2, we need to download the publish file of our WAWS. Let’s go to the developer portal and open the web site we want to deploy and download the publish file from the link on the right hand side. This file contains the necessary information of publishing the web site through WebDeploy and FTP, which can be used in WebMatrix, Visual Studio, etc.. Once we have the publish file we can open the WebMatrix, click the Open Site, Remote Site. Then it will bring up a dialog where we can input the information of the remote site. Since we have our publish file already, we can click the “Import publish settings” and select the publish file, then we can see the site information will be populated automatically. Click OK, the WebMatrix will connect to the remote site, which is the WAWS we had deployed already, retrieve the folders and files information. We can open files in WebMatrix and modify. But since WebMatrix is a lightweight web application tool, we cannot update the backend C# code. So in this case, we will modify the frontend home page only. After saved our modification, WebMatrix will compare the files between in local and remote and then it will only upload the modified files to Windows Azure through the connection information in the publish file. Since it only update the files which were changed, this minimized the bandwidth and deployment duration. After few seconds we back to the website and the modification had been applied.   Visual Studio and WebDeploy The publish file we had downloaded can be used not only in WebMatrix but also Visual Studio. As we know in Visual Studio we can publish a web application by clicking the “Publish” item from the project context menu in the solution explorer, and we can specify the WebDeploy, FTP or File System for the publish target. Now we can use the WAWS publish file to let Visual Studio publish the web application to WAWS. Let’s create a new ASP.NET MVC Web Application in Visual Studio 2010 and then click the “Publish” in solution explorer. Once we have the Windows Azure SDK 1.7 installed, it will update the web application publish dialog. So now we can import the publish information from the publish file. Select WebDeploy as the publish method. We can select FTP as well, which is supported by Windows Azure and the FTP information was in the same publish file. In the last step the publish wizard can check the files which will be uploaded to the remote site before the actually publishing. This gives us a chance to review and amend the files. Same as the WebMatrix, Visual Studio will compare the files between local and WAWS and determined which had been changed and need to be published. Finally Visual Studio will publish the web application to windows azure through WebDeploy protocol. Once it finished we can browse our website.   FTP Deployment The publish file we downloaded contains the connection information to our web site via both WebDeploy and FTP. When using WebMatrix and Visual Studio we can select WebDeploy or FTP. WebDeploy method can be used very easily from WebMatrix and Visual Studio, with the file compare feature. But the FTP gives more flexibility. We can use any FTP client to upload files to windows azure regardless which client and OS we are using. Open the publish file in any text editor, we can find the connection information very easily. As you can see the publish file is actually a XML file with WebDeploy and FTP information in plain text attributes. And once we have the FTP URL, username and password, when can connect to the site and upload and download files. For example I opened FileZilla and connected to my WAWS through FTP. Then I can download files I am interested in and modify them on my local disk. Then upload back to windows azure through FileZilla. Then I can see the new page.   Summary In this simple and quick post I introduced vary approaches to deploy our web application to Windows Azure Web Site. It supports TFS integration which I mentioned previously. It also supports Git and GitHub, WebDeploy and FTP as well.   Hope this helps, Shaun All documents and related graphics, codes are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.
