  • Losing connection when watching flash videos

    Whenever I play a flash video on my browser (whichever I use, Chrome, Firefox or IE), there's a risk that I lose my Internet connection. I know it's limited to my computer only as my roommates are unaffected. I'm the only one that loses connection. Using Internet Explorer's diagnosis tool always repairs the connection, but it's annoying as hell. My OS is Windows XP, if that matters. Anyone knows what may be causing this and how to fix it?

  • Why many applications close after opening a document or doing a specific actions?

    I have some encrypted pdf files that have no problem and in my last windows, I could open them easily with Adobe Reader 9.2 and other pdf readers. But now, I can only open non-encrypted pdf files and one encrypted file with Adobe Reader. every time I open almost any encrypted pdf, it closes itself. Also, when I try to search a folder for a keyword with Foxit Reader, once it closed. This is not related to Adobe Reader, because I have the same problem with Word 2007. When I open a document, sometimes it closes instantly and sometimes it closes after a few seconds and sometimes it is stable. My windows is Fresh. I have installed it a few days ago. I have ESET Smart Security 5.2 and I have updated it today.     I have an odd issue with a Netgear WIFI router, 4 computers, 2 pc laptops with XP and 7 installed, one macbook pro and one older mac mini. With security off everything can connect to the wifi. With WPA-Security on only the macs can connect to the wifi. I've reset the Netgear router, done everything again from scratch, no deal. The PCs just can't connect.

  • Can Airport Extremes handle NTFS external drives?

    I've got an Airport Extreme and an external USB Hard Drive formatted with NTFS. (And a LAN of Windows XP Machines.) The drive works perfectly when connected directly to a PC. When it's connected to the AE, however, the Airport Utility sees the drive and lists it in the Disks list, but the drive doesn't appear on the network (as near as I can tell.) Can the AE handle NTFS formatted disks? The documentation is vague on that point.

How can I mount the USB Thumb Drive as Fixed instead of Removable?

    In windows XP, you can add a shortcut to the start menu or desktop for all users by copying/moving the shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users[Desktop|Start Menu] I know same is the case in Windows 7 with a slightly different path (C:\Users\Public). However I'm still trying to find out how to add a 'shortcut' for all users. There is no C:\Users\Public\Taskbar. Any ideas? Or is it just not available as a feature?
