• Open Source Errors on Apple Cruch

  I've been looking around and I finally got the full source code called Apple-Crunch from google code. But when I put it into my project, the source code included so many errors in the class files such as: cannot be resolved into a type the constructor is undefined the method method() is undefined for the type Sprite class.java I downloaded the source directly from the command-line and noticed errors popping up on my project. Since i couldn't figure out how to import the actual folder into my workspace(it wouldn't show up on existing projects) I decided to copy and overwrite the folders into the project. The Errors were still there so I looked at the class files and noticed that the classes with errors extended from 'RokonActivity'. I then proceeded to add to the libs folder the rokon library in hopes to fix the errors. Sadly it didn't work and now I don't what to do to fix the errors. How do i fix the errors without having to manually change the code? The source code should be fully functional so why is there errors?

• Why will network manager not allow me save my VPN settings?

  I am trying to configure am OpenVPN client on my laptop. I am running Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit. When I open network manager and import the VPN settings from the premade config folder everything takes. The problem is when I try to save the settings, the save button at the bottom of the network manager applet is greyed out. Further more when I hover over the button it says Authenticate to save this connection for all users of this machine. The problem is I did not check the box Available to all users it was already checked and it is also greyed out and won't let me manipulate it. What is going on? Is this a bug or is there something I am missing? Any help would be wonderful.

• Howto have thunderbird/lightning open ics files

  Some websites offer .ics files, calendar files. I would like thunrbird to open these with Lightning so it can add the events in the ics-file to its calendar. When I use /usr/bin/thunderbird to open the file with, it starts a new message with the ics file attached. I could download the file, then import it from lightning, But I rather have lightning just open the file. Is there a commandline-option for this? Some wrapper-script maybe? Should I change something in firefox?

• How do I get rid of duplicates in Rhythmbox even though the music in my Home folder is not showing duplicates?

  I clicked import within Rhythmbox in Ubuntu 12.04 so I could get music to Ubuntu from my windows partition. The music appeared in my Rhythmbox library and I started playing it. However, when I restarted my computer the imported music did not show up. I looked in my music library and it was completely empty. So, I copied all of my music from my Windows partition into my music folder and launched Rhythmbox, but now it shows duplicates of all of the music I have. How can I get rid of the duplicate files if they are not showing in my Home folder?

We are planning to expand the line with a suite of new products that will share data with the existing product. To support this, we are looking to consolidate business logic into a single place: a web service layer. The WS layer will be used by: The web applications A tool to import data A tool to integrate with other client software (not an API per se) We also want to create an API that can be used by our customers that are capable of using it to create their own integrations. We are struggling with the following question: Should the internal API (aka the WS layer) and the external API be one in the same, with security and permission settings to control what can be done by who, or should they be two separate applications where the external API just calls the internal API like any other application? So far in our debate it seems that separating them may be more secure, but will add overhead. What have others done in a similar situation?

• How to easily delete all email forwarders in cPanel?

  I know that I can import a list of email forwarders using CPanel, but how can I delete a list? I want to manage 300+ addresses - as a membership list for my organization. I want to be able to delete that many without clicking 'Delete' and then 'Confirm' (or whatever it is) 300 times. Even if I am able to simply delete ALL forwarders, then upload a modified list - that's fine with me. Note: I'm using a shared hosting package through SiteGround. The tech service rep informed me that I can't use CPanel scripts in a shared environment. Any suggestions?

  I want to create a clone of a Google Code repository, which I cannot download due to Country restrictions and I want to migrate that clone into Github, which I can use without any problem. The thing is I have a Github account and I can browse through GoogleCode but I cannot take my TortoiseHg and clone a repo just like that because I'm from Cuba and I get a lovely Google page saying that I cannot go into Google code. I'm guessing you know how I manage to browse :) I would like to import a mercurial repository into my Github repo, my questions: Is it possible? How can I do it?

• Are Remote commit hooks in subversion possible?

  Hi there, my current setup is as follows: We have a Linux samba share that contains all the repository folders (with the hooks folder inside, amongst the others) All the developers have the share mapped as a network drive, and import to a local directory (normally C:\Server\RepositoryName) where they work on their files. All the machines accessing the drive (unfortunately) run windows. What I'm aiming to do is to have a hook on the Linux server that detects when a commit has been made, by which project, the revision number, the name of the developer who committed, etc. I looked into the hooks files, but they seem to be ran by the client. Is there a way to monitor svn changes and collect the relevant information from the Linux server?

• Saving an interface instance into a Bundle

  All I've have an interface that allows me to switch between different scenes in my Android game. When the home key is pressed, I am saving all of my states (score, sprite positions etc) into a Bundle. When re-launching, I am restoring all my states and all is OK - however, I can't figure out how to save my 'Scene', thus when I return, it always starts at the default screen which is the 'Main Menu'. How would I go about saving my 'Scene' (into a Bundle)?   I've just started with LOVE and LUA , i'm interested in LOVE because i want to play around with something different from my dayjob(i'm a webdeveloper) and since it uses LUA and is interpreted , i though it would be a great way to try out the API. but i couldn't find how to run my .LÖVE game directly from the lua interpreter? i'm finding it bothersome to package the game each time i make a little test with the API. since i couldn't find the answer i'm asking, but maybe i'm serching for the wrong terms, if this it is a simple matter like "import the library" or set the global, i'll gladly remove my question.

• Should I use structure from a core library graphic toolkit in my domain?

  In java (and many other programming language), there are often structure to deal with graphic element : Colour, Shape, etc. Those are most often in a UI toolkit and thus have a relatively strong coupling with UI element. Now, in the domain of my application, we often deal with colour, shape, etc, to display statistic information on an element. Right now all we do with it is display/save those element with little or no behaviour. Would it make sense to avoid "reinventing the wheel" and directly use the structures in java.awt.* or should I make my own element and avoid a coupling to this toolkit? Its not like those element are going away anytime soon (they are part of the core java library after all), but at the same time it feel weird to import java.awt.* server side. I have no problem using java.util.List everywhere. Should I feel different about those class? What would be the "recommended" practice in that case?

• How can I change the wallpaper using a Python script?

  I want to change my wallpaper in Ubuntu 11.10 (with Unity) in a small Python script. I found the possibility to change it via the gconf-editor in /desktop/gnome/background/picture_filename. With python-gconf, I'm able to change the necessary values. Apparently, the gconf string is not read out. If I change it (either via a script or via gconf-editor), the wallpaper remains and in the menu of "Change wallpaper", the old wallpaper is shown. How am I able to change the wallpaper for Unity via a Python script? The following code does work. • Multiple textures on a mesh created in blender and imported in xna

  I created a cube in blender which has multiple images applied to its faces. I am trying to import the model into xna and get the same results as shown when rendering the model in blender. I go through every mesh (for the cube its only one) and through every part but only the first image used in blender is displayed in every face.   We have a large bazaar repository and we want to convert it to a git repository. The bazaar repository contains the folders of each of the interns. Any documentation/code prepared by interns is committed in their directory so there are a huge number of commits. What steps should be performed to securely convert the bazaar repository to a git repository so that we do not lose any commit information. We firstly need to create a backup of the existing bazaar repository and then convert it.   I just created my gpg key using developer.ubuntu.com packaging page's documentation and also upload the public key in key server. When i import the key into launchpad it sent me an encrypted message. Now i give a command to decrypt the message gpg -d launchpad.txt it asked for a passcode. I gave one which i used to create gpg key. but it shows error again again. I repeat the process(gpg creation) again but stuck on .... passcode(decryption). What is the problem?

Und wie es sich für ordentliche Werkzeug gehört, besitzt auch (fast) jedes einzelne von ihnen eine eigene Hilfestellung. Wobei die Betonung eindeutig auf "eigene" liegt. Auch der ungeübte Benutzer wird sehr schnell merken, dass Oracle sich hier wohl nie so wirklich Gedanken darüber gemacht hat, die Hilfefunktionen zu vereinheitlichen - außer dass die Hilfe mehr oder weniger hilfreich ist. Die wohl interessanteste Ausprägung dieser Hilfefunktion ist hier sicherlich der RMAN, dessen umfangreiche Syntaxhilfe nur schwer zu erhalten ist - es sei denn man vertippt sich absichtlich. Solange man alles richtig macht (oder eben falsch, aber leider mit der richtigen Syntax) ist RMAN kein Hinweis über seine umfangreichen Syntaxchecker zu "entlocken".
