  Hi, I Working on location from google maps and using django to. My question is: I have a String in request.GET['descricao'] lets say it contains "Via rapida". In my database i have store = "Via Rápida" i'm doing : local = Local.objects.filter(name__icontains=request.GET['descricao']) with that i can get everthing fine like "Via Rapida" but the result that have "Via rápida" never get match in the query (ASCI caracter may be ?) what must i do given a string "Via rapida" match "via rápida" and "via rapida" ? Regular Expressions ? how ? Thanks

• Interpreting Search Results

  Hi all, I am tasked with writing a program that, given a search term and the HTML source of a page representing search results of some unknown search engine (it can really be anything, a blog, a shop, Google, eBay, ...), needs to build a data structure of the results containing "what's in the results": a title for earch result, the "details" link, the position within the results etc. It is not known whether the results page contains any of the data at all, and whether there are any search results. The goal is to feed the data structure into another program that extracts meaning. What I am looking for is not BeautifulSoup or a RegExp but rather some clever ideas or algorithms on how to interpret the HTML source. What do I do to find out what part of the page constitutes a single result item? How do I filter the markup noise to extract the important bits? What would you do? Pointers to fields of research covering what I try to to are aly greatly appreciated. Thanks, Simon

• Using axWebBrowser control to capture page request and postdata.

  I'm writing a small utility to capture all requests made to a web server from a windows application using the axWebBrowser control. So far I have the following working, as the user traverse the website clicking on links, posting forms etc I capture the webpage and the data being send to the server to request the next page. Where I run into a stumbling block is when it comes to Ajax calls. There are number of drop down boxes that filter down the selection as the user types in the search term, I would like to capture the page/script that is called and the data being send. Any hint, advice would be greatly appreciated.

• Application error passthru when using apache mod_proxy

  Heyas. I'm using mod_proxy with apache2 provide vhost ability to multiple servlet apps running on the local machine. It works fine, for the most part. Requests come into apache then are directed to the application bound on a port on localhost. The app receives the request and responds, which is delivered back to the client by apache. The problem I'm having is that the application delivers 500's on errors, and mod_proxy stomps on them. Often these errors are caused in a ajax request and the error is handled in client side javascript. For example, a call to a server side createObject(name) might throw a NameNotUniqueException , which is delivered back as a 500. The client javascript might then display an appropriate error message. When an error is thrown by the application (resulting in a 500 response to mod_proxy), then apache stomps the error message and returns 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. .. the stock apache server side error message. I want mod_proxy to pass the original 500 back through to the client. Is there a directive I've missed which prevents clobbering of the 500? TIA

  I have web-service created and configured via Spring and CXF. But CXF throws SoapFault when request is not corresponding with schema. I want to send to the client SoapMessage instead of SoapFault, that's why I added outFaultInterceptors. My question is how to transform SoapFault to SoapMessage? I've made few tries but I don't know how to implement outFaultInterceptor.

I'm need to write an stored procedure for SQL Server 2008 for performing some huge select query and I need filter it results with specifying filtering type via procedure's parameters (parameterize where clause). • Whats wrong with this task queue setup?

  I've setup this task queue implementation on a site I host for a customer, it has a cron job which runs each morning at 2am "/admin/tasks/queue", this queues up emails to be sent out, "/admin/tasks/email", and uses cursors so as to do the queuing in small chunks. For some reason last night /admin/tasks/queue kept getting run by this code and so sent out my whole quota of emails :/. • Get #part in URL with PHP/Symfony

  Hi, I'm working with Symfony 1.2. I've a view with a list of objects. I can order them, filter them by category, or moving to the next page (there is pagination). Everything is done with AJAX, so I don't have to load all the page again. What I want to achieve is to have http://urltopage#page=1&order=title&cats=1,2 for example; so the new page is saved in the browser history, and he can paste it to another web. I haven't found a way to get the #part. I know that's only for the browser but I can't believe I can't get through PHP. I'm sure there is a simple solution I'm missing... thanks a lot!

• NDIS or TDI for packet redirection to a local proxy

  I need to develop a transparent filter to redirect outgoing HTTP packets to a local proxy, to do transparent content filtering. Which is the best technology to do it, TDI or NDIS IM? My main constraint is to avoid conflicts with antivirus software, which also do some kind of packet redirection to inspect HTTP content (I don't know whether antivirus programs use TDI, NDIS IM, or both). Rather than writing the driver myself, actually, I'm also considering two commercial SDKs for packet filtering/modification: one uses a TDI driver while the other uses a NDIS IM driver, so that's the origin of my question (I was only aware of NDIS IM, before looking at the two SDKs).

• Jetty embedded: How to run the same config as with `mvn jetty:run-exploded`?

  Hi, I'd like to have the same Jetty server configuration, created programatically. When I run mvn jetty:run-exploded, my app works fine. When I run it from my code, the static content is not loaded. I know that I have to add a static content Servlet, so I tried: Server server = new Server(8080); Context ctx = new Context( server, "/", Context.SESSIONS ); DefaultServlet defaultServlet = new DefaultServlet(); ServletHolder defaultSH = new ServletHolder( defaultServlet ); defaultSH.setInitParameter( "resourceBase", "./"); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/img" ); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/css" ); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/js" ); I am assuming that the pwd is in the webapp's "root", i.e. where the WEB-INF dir is. • Aging Data Structure in C#

  I want a data structure that will allow querying how many items in last X minutes. An item may just be a simple identifier or a more complex data structure, preferably the timestamp of the item will be in the item, rather than stored outside (as a hash or similar, wouldn't want to have problems with multiple items having same timestamp). So far it seems that with LINQ I could easily filter items with timestamp greater than a given time and aggregate a count. Though I'm hesitant to try to work .NET 3.5 specific stuff into my production environment yet. Are there any other suggestions for a similar data structure? The other part that I'm interested in is aging old data out, If I'm only going to be asking for counts of items less than 6 hours ago I would like anything older than that to be removed from my data structure because this may be a long-running program.

• Geolocation under firefox 3.6 requires Proxy Authentication?

  I am trying to share my location on geolocation enabled pages from firefox 3.6, but doesn't seem to get any kind of success or failures. When I wrote my custom js containing navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(func1,func2), the success callback isn't called at all. When I tamper the http requests on firefox, the request to https://www.google.com/loc/json returns with status: 407 [Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied. )]... Yes, my network is behind a proxy server. But the same works with Chrome. I didn't try other browsers yet.

  Hi In a MVC application i want to validate the email addresses. I want to get the valid emailID from the list.If I use the emailaddress from the address book of any mail account then the name of the user get appended with the emailID .eg:"Ayushi Soni" ,.. and then copy these address to a textbox in an MVC application. Now I want to retrieve the actual EmailID from the list ignoring the name that is appended.Is there any utitliy or jquery that we can use to filter this out and validate the filtered email. • How to Look Up Email by Full Name in Active Directory?

  I want to search for a user's email by using Active Directory. Available is the user's full name (ex. "John Doe" for the email with an email "[email protected]"). From what I've searched, this comes close to what I'm looking to do -- except that the Filter is set to "SAMAccountName", which is not what I have. Unless I'm misunderstanding, I just need to pick the right attribute and toss in the full name name in the same way. Unfortunately, I don't know what this attribute is, apparently no one has had to ask about searching for information in this manner, and that is a pretty big list (msdn * microsoft * com/en-us/library/ms675090(v=VS.85) * aspx, stackoverflow didn't let me link 2 hyperlinks because I don't have 10 rep) of attributes. Does anyone know how to obtain the user's email address through an Active Directory lookup by using the user's full name?

• Are Sphinx & thinking_sphinx really stable? Not indexing Columns

  I'm encountering strange behaviour from thinking_sphinx/sphinx. My define_index block is about 100 lines, so quite a lot of columns i'm indexing. For full-text searching I only need about 10 attributes, for sorting and filtering I have another approximately 50 columns, mostly floats and integers. By filtering I mean using the "with" or "without" options. Searching does not really work consistently. All of a sudden, one attribute fails to filter. Or if I add a new one, it does not work. Only after a lot of tinkering it suddenly starts working. I cannot really reproduce it. Steps I that sometimes lead me to success where: rm -rf db/sphinx change the attribute definition e.g. has some_attribute = has some_attribute, :sortable = true or = has some_attribute, :sortable = true, :as = "some_attribute" restarting the server assigning a new :as name = has some_attribute, :as = "some_attribute_new" (yes, I did rake ts:rebuild or rake ts:in after every step) Does anybody else encounter similar problems?

  I am using search logic to filter results on company listing page. The user is able to specify any number of parameters using a variety of named URLs. For example: /location/mexico /sector/technology /sector/financial/location/argentina Results in the following respectively: params[:location] == 'mexico' params[:sector] == 'technology' params[:sector] == 'financial' and params[:location] == 'argentina' I am now trying to cleanup or 'DRY' my model code. Currently I have: def self.search(params) ... if params[:location] results = results.location_permalink_equals params[:location] if results results = Company.location_permalink_equals params[:location] unless results end if params[:sector] results = results.location_permalink_equals params[:sector] if results results = Company.location_permalink_equals params[:sector] unless results end ... end I don't like repeating the searchs.   This is not a pure java question and can also be related to HTML I've written a java servlet that queries a database table and shows the result as a html table. The user can also ask to receive the result as an Excel sheet. Im creating the Excel sheet by printing the same html table, but with the content-type of "application/vnd.ms-excel". The Excel file is created fine. The problem is that the tables may contain non-english data so I want to use a UTF-8 encoding. PrintWriter out = response.getWriter(); response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel:ISO-8859-1"); //response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel:UTF-8"); response.setHeader("cache-control", "no-cache"); response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=file.xls"); out.print(src); out.flush(); The non-english characters appear as garbage (áéíóú) Also I tried converting to bytes from String byte[] arrByte = src.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"); String result = new String(arrByte, "UTF-8"); But I Still getting garbage, What can I do?. When I resize the Form of my Device, the Draw method is still called, but doesnt throw an Exception, it looks like this: device.Clear(ClearFlags.Target, Color.Red, 0, 0); device.BeginScene(); // here is out commented code device.EndScene(); device.Present(); In another method, I wrote this: renderToSurface.BeginScene(surfaces[currentIndex]); // here is out commented code renderToSurface.EndScene(Filter.None); and this method seems to throw a nullpointer exception when I resize the window; So my question is: - where to reset / restore / handle the renderToSurface class?   Hi, I'm rather new to Haskell. The problem is to find the sum of all even Fibonacci numbers not greater than 4 million. I can't use lists. If I understand correctly, the below solution is wrong, because it uses lists: my_sum = sum $ filter (even) $ takeWhile (< 4000000) fibs Where fibs is the list of all Fibonacci numbers. Somehow, I find it difficult not to think in Haskell in terms of lists. Could anyone guide me to a solution to this problem? Regards

Wish that the documentation would anticipate common questions and be written more clearly.

Without doing this: items = Item.objects.filter(created_on__gte=datetime.now()-timedelta(days=7)) for item in items: item.reddit_rank = reddit_rank(item) item.save() I know about the F() object, but I can't figure out if this function can be performed inside the ORM. Any ideas? Help would be very much appreciated!

• SharePoint filtered column that only allows item to be used once

  I have a WSS 3.0 site that I use for change management. There are three primary lists on it -- a bug list, an enhancement list, and a release list. The release list has two lookup columns that provide a list of bugs and enhancements that are included in that particular release. I am trying to figure out how to filter the bug and enhancement list to include only items that have not already been included in another release. All the docs and examples I have seen regarding filtered lookups deal with a query on the list itself. For my situation, and if this was a SQL query, I would need to use a LEFT JOIN to generate the list.
