  Hi folks, I am new to django. I am trying to use django.contrib.comments, I saw the table in the database like this, but how can I integrate it with user_id, user_photos, user_name, user_email....and those things with the django commenting system? I also tried to use thread-comments, but I can't configure it properly, is the django threadedcomments table similar to following ? Please let me know if any of you have done this before....all I need is a user login, and post comments, and then show list of comments with users' profile photos and username, as well as there comments. I think shouldn't be that hard. • Is a switch statement ok for 30 or so conditions?

  I am in the final stages of creating an MP4 tag parser in .Net. For those who have experience with tagging music you would be aware that there are an average of 30 or so tags. If tested out different types of loops and it seems that a switch statement with Const values seems to be the way to go with regard to catching the tags in binary. The switch allows me to search the binary without the need to know which order the tags are stored or if there are some not present but I wonder if anyone would be against using a switch statement for so many conditionals. Any insight is much appreciated.

• ShellExecute not working from IDE but works otherwise.

  I want to create and then open a txt file using the ShellExecute command. Delhi shows the CPU window with the caption "CPU-Process unknown (2352)". I close the CU windows and everything works fine until I close the application, when Delphi shows the CPU window one more time. If I run the app from outside IDE, it works fine. Looks like the debugger has something to say to me, but I don't know what.

This reader loads data from internet via this code: NSXMLParser *rss = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/50405236.rss"]]; My problem is with encoding. RSS 2.0 file is supposed to be UTF8 encoded according to encoding attribute in XML file. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> So when I download URLs content I get text truncated after first occurance of char with diacritics, example: l š c t ž ý á í é, etc. I tried to solve the problem by downloading URL as UTF8 string, I used this code: NSString *rssXmlString = [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL: [NSURL URLWithString: @"http://www.macblog.sk/rss.xml"] encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error: nil]; NSData *rssXmlData = [rssXmlString dataUsingEncoding: NSUTF8StringEncoding]; Did not help. I'm trying to convert a System::String to a wchar_t pointer that I can keep for longer than the scope of the function. Once I'm finished with it, I want to clean it up properly. • BULK INSERT with inconsitant number of columns

  I am trying to load a large amount data in SQL server from a flat file using BULK INSERT. However, my file has varying number of column, for instance the first row contains 14 and the second contains 4. That is OK, I just want to make a table with the max number of columns and load the file into it with nulls for the missing columns. I can play with it from that point. But it seems that SQL Server when reaching the end of the line and having more columns to fill for that same row in the destination table, just moves on to the next line and attempts to put the data on that line to the wrong column of the table. Is there a way to get the behavior that I am looking for? Is there a table hint that I can use the specify this? Has anyone run into this before? • Unable to retrieve data from SQLite database iOS6.0

  When i run build ios5.0 or less then Sqlite response correct and retrieve data its work fine but when run on ios6.0 i am trying to fetch data from my.sqlite database but it is not executing my if case. • Address Book is returning old values

  Hi there, I am having a problem with the AddressBook framework. It all seems to be stemming from ABCopyRecordForUniqueId returning a record with old data. Example: I run up the program below in one terminal window - it shows the current data. I make a change through the address book UI - my program continues to show old data. I run up another instance of the same program in a new terminal window - it shows the updated data. • gcc, UTF-8 and limits.h

  My OS is Debian, my default locale is UTF-8 and my compiler is gcc. By default CHAR_BIT in limits.h is 8 which is ok for ASCII because in ASCII 1 char = 8 bits. But since I am using UTF-8, chars can be up to 32 bits which contradicts the CHAR_BIT default value of 8. If I modify CHAR_BIT to 32 in limits.h to better suit UTF-8, what do I have to do in order for this new value to come into effect ? I guess I have to recompile gcc ? Do I have to recompile the linux kernel ? What about the default installed Debian packages, will they work ?

• Multiple Context menus in PyQt based on mouse location

  I have a window with multiple tables using QTableWidget (PyQt). I created a popup menu using the right click mouse and it works fine. However, I need to create different popup menu based on which table the mouse is hovering over at the time the right mouse is clicked. How can I get the mouse to tell me which table it is hovering over? or, put in another way, how to implement a method so as to have a specific context menu based on mouse location? I am using Python and PyQt. • running a program in Unix vs in Windows

  I'm compiling a simple program written in C and I'm using Eclipse as an IDE, both in Windows 7 and on my MacBook Pro. Very simple program my friend wrote and asked me to help him with: int a = 0; char b[2]; printf("Input first class info:\n"); printf("Credit Hours: \n"); scanf("%d", &a); printf("Letter Grade: "); scanf("%s", b); So when I run this on my mac, each line prints and when I encounter the scanf(), I can input and continue as expected. In Windows, I have to input everything and then it will print all the lines. I'm not sure why this is happening... what is the difference b/w Windows and Mac here? I will have several spans randomly positioned on the screen through something like: $(".hidden:first").css('-webkit-transform','rotate('+((0.5-Math.random())*40)+'deg)'); $(".hidden:first").animate({ left: '+=' + (((screen.width-800-224)/2) + Math.random()*800), top: '+=' + (50+Math.random()*600) } [...] and later on I would like to iterate through every char of every of those elements (that are randomly position and have random rotation), and I would need to discover the (x,y) position of every character on the screen so I can colorize it, forming certain draws according to certain functions. Here is a method defintion that i'm trying to wrap: void methodA(const uint32_t *data); //c header declaration The issue I'm having is trying to figure out how to give a equivalent pointer from c#. In c# I want it to operate on a: UInt32 data[] //my c# object i want to be able to pass in but how do I give an equivalent pointer in my wrapper? I have tried ref data //my attempt at giving an equivalent pointer to the DLL but that doesnt seem to be working. Using debug statements in the DLL I can see that the values it gets that way are not what I'm attempting to pass in. So my question boils down to have do I properly wrap a c fuction that is using a pointer to reference an array?

The generic it takes is primitive type always i.e. int, char, bool, string etc. I can easily create its instance.   INFORMIX-SE with ISQL 7.3: I have separate tables for Loan, Purchase & Sales transactions. Each tables rows are joined to their respective customer rows by: customer.id [serial] = loan.foreign_id [integer]; = purchase.foreign_id [integer]; = sale.foreign_id [integer]; I would like to consolidate the three tables into one table called "transaction", where a column: transaction.trx_type char(1) {L=Loan, P=Purchase, S=Sale} identifies the transaction type. Each transaction will be assigned a unique transaction number [serial]. Is this a good idea or is it better to keep them in separate tables? Storage space is not a concern, I think it would be easier programming & user-wise to have all types of transactions under one table, whenever possible. This implies denormalization.

• AVAudioRecorder prepareToRecord works, but record fails

  I just built and tested a basic AVAudioRecorder/AVAudioPlayer sound recorder and player. Eventually I got this working on the device, as well as the simulator. My player/recorder code is in a single UIView subclass. Unfortunately, when I copy the class into my main project, it no longer works (on the device--the simulator is fine). prepareToRecord is working fine, but record isn't. Any help is much appreciated.
