  • What kind of parallel cable is this?

    I have an HP LaserJet 4600 and need to order a replacement cable for it. Here is a picture of the port on the printer and the cable is currently in use. I've never seen one of this style before. Can anyone provide the type of port this is or a provide a link to a replacement cable? Thanks!

    How can I mount windows share file system into RHEL? I'm not a sysadmin, but I got this task assigned :( I've tried this solution mount -t smbfs -o username=samba,password=samba //Desktop/Public /mnt/public But the output is: mount: unknown filesystem type 'smbfs' How can I mount a windows share into RHEL 5? FWIW I've successfully created a link with the menu: Places>Connect to Server>Service Type:Windows Share Which creates a link in the desktop, but I would need to programatically save files in that machine, hence I need it mounted as filesystem.     So I've looked at a ton of guides, but non of them seem to get our site to work. This is what I was probably following the closest:https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-create-a-ssl-certificate-on-apache-for-ubuntu-12-04 I also wanted to know why there is a default-ssl in apache2/sites-available ?   • Preventing some apps from appearing on the start menu on vista

    Vista start menu shows your most frequently used apps, which is great, I love it. However, there are some apps which I use frequently through shell or such, that I do not want to appear on that menu. Winrar, Media Player Classic, Infranview... I can right click on it to remove it, but it'll return to the menu shortly, how can I set it so that those apps never appear on the start menu. Thanks.

    Around here the clusters (not hyper-v clusters) are typically configured as n+1, so they are asking me to create a n+1 hyper-v r2 clusters. These will configured with both csv's and live migration and managed via scvmm r2. My thinking is that its a waste in having a node sitting there idle. In my opinion it would be better to have headroom left over for what would traditionally the +1 server spread amongst the N nodes. Anybody have an opinion on this. thanks

    Hi all, I've got an HP DC7100 and an HP m8530f. The DC7100 is a small form factor desktop while the m8530f has a mATX board with lots of extra features like front I/O and HP Personal Media Drive bay. Both of these have very little space (especially the DC7100) and don't have any other places to mount fans. What other possible ways of cooling are there, if there isn't much space left inside the case? Thanks in advance.

  • Mail Permissions on a File Server Resource Manager Server

    In 2008 server the File resource manager can be set up to alert users when they go over their quota etc. This is all configured however the email notifications are not working. They have been configured but the event log shows that the user does not have permission to send to the exchange server. There isnt an option to chosse who to send the email from. Is there a way to get this to work? Thanks

    Hello. I just restarted my Windows 7 PC to find all my pinned shortcuts have disappeared from the start menu and taskbar. I've looked here "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned" And it seems the shortcuts are still there. Is there maybe a service that isn't running, which is causing this problem? Thanks.
