• System Centre Essentials 2007 Clients Losing Status

  Clients that have been reporting their state fine suddenly start reporting "Windows 0.0" for their OS and "Not yet contacted" for their Last Contacted date even though previously these values were present and correct. Any idea why this might be happening? I've spend a long time playing with wsauclt etc and just when I think I've the problem it comes back again! Thanks.

  I can't seem to figure out the problems with my script to alter SQL Server 2008 database and file growth. There are two data files and a log file, all which need to have Autogrowth ON. Does this look completely wrong? Thanks! • windows server 2003 cannot accept connections

  Hi everyone, I am running a Windows Server 2003 OS and am noticing that no one is able to connect to the machine through Remote Desktop. I have gone through the Terminal Services Configuration to make sure that we had the RDP-Tcp connection enabled and I've checked to see that the server was listening to port 3389. Are there any other options since I've tried to ping into our host server with no results. Thanks in advance.

  A friend has a site developed in ColdFusion with MySQL and is looking for better cost-effective hosting as the traffic scales up rapidly. Azure comes to mind. I haven't used Azure myself, however, I believe it is possible to setup and interact with the web-server via RDP into a hosted Virtual Machine? I am curious if ColdFusion can be installed in the hosted Azure VM. Also, would the site have to be tweaked to run on Azure SQL, or could it continue to use MySQL? Thanks.

• Virtual Machine Library not updating

  Hi, I have a problem with my library window. I use to have a XP VM, which I deleted and now have a Vista VM. Every time I start Fusion, the XP VM shortcut will still be in the library (File not found), and the Vista VM won't be. I have tried re-installing Fusion but the same XP shortcut keeps coming up. Fusion doesn't seem to be updating the list of VM I currently have for some reason. Any ideas? Lots of thanks Jeremy

In order to run it from the terminal I have to cd into the folder that contains the source and run the following command: java -cp classes com.packagename.mainclass Where classes is the folder that contains the classes. I want ubuntu to run this application on startup, is there a Java command I can use? Or am I just better off creating a shell script? Thanks!

  Imagine you work in Office 2007 or 2010, you create a far-fetched presentation and save it as 'ppt'. Office 2007/2010 warns you that some effects will be lost, but you save it. Question: If you open that ppt file in the office version you're working with(2007/2010) will it run like on '97 or '03 with the lack of effects, no other problems?   If considering Windows only environment, what's the advantage of introducing OpenVPN as the company VPN service, instead of Windows built-in protocols? Especially the new SSTP protocol already overcome the one of the weakness of PPTP, which may not go over firewall/NAT. I'm wondering is there any reason not to use Windows integrated solution. The strength of the security can be an issue but I'm not sure how different they are (I know MS VPN was vulnerable but is it still?) Thanks.

  I have a stored procedure that runs in Query Analyzer 2008 Enterprise but will not run inside a Job on SQL Agent. It just spins. I have checked permissions, ANSI NULL ON , etc. to no avail. • soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 11s! error with Xen virtual machines

  Getting a kernel panic with this error on my XEN VPS's. (all on 8.04 LTS) The kernel version on my Dom-0 is 2.6.24-25-xen and the kernel version on the Xen VPS is also 2.6.24-25-xen. I read something about disabling APIC from here http://muffinresearch.co.uk/archives/2008/08/20/ubuntu-bug-soft-lockup-cpu0-stuck-for-11s/ but that doesn't seem to help as well. Anyone experienced this and are there any workarounds? Thanks in advance!
