• Removing the transperancy from image while keeping the actual image

  Hello people, I have three images,and , they are not square or rectangular in shape. They are just like face of anyone. So,basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion. Now, I want to remove the transperant background too and just keep the faces. Don't know if this is possible and mind you, this isn't a programming question.

• Access Denied when using popen - Python

  Hi folks, I'm using popen in order to send a few commands within a Django app. Problem is that I'm getting [Error 5] Access Denied, apparently I have no access to cmd.exe, which popen seems to use. WindowsError at /test/cmd/ [Error 5] Access is denied: 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c dir' I reckon this is because the app sits behind a web server which has limited privileges. Is there anything we can do about it? Help would be awesome!

• PAM authentication problem

  I am using this module to authenticate using pam: http://code.google.com/p/web2py/source/browse/gluon/contrib/pam.py I can call authenticate('username','password') and it returns True/ False. It works for any 'username' but 'root'. My guess is that there is a security restriction in PAM that does not allow to check for the root password. I need to be able to check the root password. Is there anything I can change in the pam.conf or somewhere else to remove this restriction?

• Delphi 2010: Form OnKeyDown, OnKeyPress or OnKeyUp doesn't work at all when using OpenGL!

  I have a form and I've passed its handle to the OpenGL class to draw. I want to get keyboard commands from the user but it seems the procedures for getting the keys doesn't run (I've tested it). Although, I am using OnMouseDown with no problem at all. Is there anything I am missing here? Anyone has a solution?

These attributes are not to interfere with the table itself - they are primarily accessed by php code during code generation time and these attributes HAVE to reside in the DB itself.   I'm working with a function whose signature looks like this afunc(string $p1, mixed $p2, array $p3 [, int $p4 = SOM_CONST [, string $p5 ]] ) In some cases I don't have data for the last parameter $p5 to pass, but for the sake of consistency I still want to pass something like NULL. So my question, does PHP treat passing a NULL exactly the same as not passing anything? somefunc($p1, $p2, $p3, $p4 = SOM_CONST); somefunc($p1, $p2, $p3, $p4 = SOM_CONST, NULL);

  Does anyone know how we can install BIDS for SQL Server 2008 without having to install the Database Engine? With the SQL Server 2008 Express install it appears to be mandatory to install the Database Engine when all we would like the end users to have access to is BIDS to develop their RDL's to deploy to an existing SSRS instance? It looks like BIDS 2005 was available as a standalone download - the toolkit - however I cannot find anything similar for 2008.

  i am wondering because i searched the pdf "xxx the definitive guide" and "beginning xxx" for the word "inheritance" but i didn't find anything? am i missing something? because i am doing a tablePerHierarchy inheritance with hibernate and mysql, does that become deprecated for some reason in xxx? • List of valid characters for the fragment identifier in an URL?

  I'm using the fragment identifier to create a permalink for AJAX events in my web app similar to this guy. Something like: http://www.myapp.com/calendar#filter:year/2010/month/5 I've done quite a bit of searching but can't find a list of valid characters for the fragment idenitifer. The W3C spec doesn't offer anything. Do I need to encode the characters the same as the URL in has in general? There doesn't seem to be any good information on this anywhere.
