    I want to have something similar to map but while iterating I want them to be in the same order as it is added. Example map.insert("one", 1); map.insert("two", 2); map.insert("three", 3); While iterating I want the items to be like "one", ""two", "three"..By default, map doesn't provide this added order. How to get the map elements the way I have added? Anything with STL is fine or other alternative suggestions also fine

    I'm learning CRUD in codeigniter. I have table name "posting" and the coloumns are like this (id, title, post). I successed to create a new post (both insert into database and display in the view). But I have problem when I delete my post in the front-end.     I have three tables where I store actual person data (person), teams (team) and entries (athlete). The schema of the three tables is: In each team there might be two or more athletes. I'm trying to create a query to produce the most frequent pairs, meaning people who play in teams of two. I came up with the following query: SELECT p1.surname, p1.name, p2.surname, p2.name, COUNT(*) AS freq FROM person p1, athlete a1, person p2, athlete a2 WHERE p1.id = a1.person_id AND p2.id = a2.person_id AND a1.team_id = a2.team_id AND a1.team_id IN ( SELECT id FROM team, athlete WHERE team.id = athlete.team_id GROUP BY team.id HAVING COUNT(*) = 2 ) GROUP BY p1.id ORDER BY freq DESC Obviously this is a resource consuming query. Is there a way to improve it?

    hi, I'm passing data to a ListView to display some restaurant names. Now when clicking on an item I'd like to start another activity to display more restaurant data. I'm not sure about how to do it. Shall I pass all the restaurant data in a bundle through the intent object? Or shall I just pass the restaurant id and get the data in the other activity? In that case, how can I access my restaurantList from the other activity? In any case, how can I get data from the restaurant I clicked on (the view only contains the name)? Any help, pointers welcome! I've got the following problem: "Write a template function vectorMAXMIN() that will accept a vector and a number indicating the size of the vector and will return the max and the min values of the vector"... So i think in it... Create a class vector to avoid the "size" passing value and control the insertions and can get from this the max and min values...     Suppose I have a 2 column table (id, flag) and id is sequential. I expect this table to contain a lot of records. I want to periodically select the first row not flagged and update it. Some of the records on the way may have already been flagged, so I want to skip them. Does it make more sense if I store the last id I flagged and use it in my select statement, like select * from mytable where id > my_last_id order by id asc limit 1 or simply get the first unflagged row, like: select * from mytable where flagged = 'F' order by id asc limit 1 Thank you!

  • Select distinct ... inner join vs. select ... where id in (...)

    I'm trying to create a subset of a table (as a materialized view), defined as those records which have a matching record in another materialized view. For example, let's say I have a Users table with user_id and name columns, and a Log table, with entry_id, user_id, activity, and timestamp columns. First I create a materialized view of the Log table, selecting only those rows with timestamp some_date. Now I want a materliazed view of the Users referenced in my snapshot of the Log table. I can either create it as select * from Users where user_id in (select user_id from Log_mview), or I can do select distinct u.* from Users u inner join Log_mview l on u.user_id = l.user_id (need the distinct to avoid multiple hits from users with multiple log entries). The former seems cleaner and more elegant, but takes much longer. Am I missing something? Is there a better way to do this?
