• WPF Buttons Style

    - by Polaris
I have WPF Form which has many buttons with the same code. Appearance of all buttons must be the same For example, code for one of these buttons <Button.Content> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="images/add.png" /> </Image.Source>
<TextBlock Text=" Add Relative" Height="20" VerticalAlignment="Center"/> </StackPanel> </Button.Content> How can I create one style and use it for all my buttons. All buttons has the same png image, only their text different. How can I do this. I tried to do this with Style object in Resource Section: <UserControl.Resources> </UserControl.Resources> But this code not work. Can any body know how can I do this?

  • Android: Why my user Interface does not get drawn when I Inflate the resource layout file?

    - by Einiosaurus
    First of all, I'm a newbie on Android programming, so please be detailed in your answers. I have a layout main.xml file with format similar to <LinearLayout xmlns:android = "http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation = "vertical" android:layout_width = "fill_parent" android:layout_height = "fill_parent"> <LinearLayout xmlns:android = "http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation = "horizontal" android:layout_width = "fill_parent" android:layout_height = "fill_parent"> <EditText android:id="@+id/a" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/xSquared" android:layout_width = "fill_parent" android:layout_height = "wrap_content" android:text = "@string/equationPart1" /> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout ... </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> In my Java source file, I inflate the UI using command: setContentView(R.layout.main); public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); } However, when I run the emulator, the UI does not show up like what I expect. Instead, it just display a simple EditText text box. I wonder what is going wrong. Is it because I put a layout inside another layout? I don't think there is any problem with that right?

  • Android - Basic CRUD (REST/RPC client) to remote server

    - by bsreekanth
There are lot of discussion about REST client implementation in android, based on the talk at GoogleIO 2010, by Virgil Dobjanschi. My requirement may not necessarily involved, as I have some freedom to choose the configuration. I only target tablets configuration changes can be prevented if no other easy way (fix at Landscape mode etc) I am trying to achieve. Basic CRUD operation to my server (JSON RPC/ REST). Basically mimic an ajax request from android app (no webview, need native app) Based on the above mentioned talk, and some reading I see these options. Implement any of the 3 mentioned in the Google IO talk Especially, the last pattern may be more suitable as I don't care much of caching. But not sure how "real time" is sync implementation. Use HTTP request in AsyncTask. Simplest, but need to avoid re-sending request during change in device configuration (orientation change etc). Even if I fix at one orientation, recreation of activity still happens. So need to handle it elegantly. Use service to handle http request. So far, it say use service for long ruiing request. Not sure whether it is a good approach for simple GET/POST/PUt requests. Please share your experience on what could be the best way.

  • How to resolve the only ImagePicker control view in landscap mode and whole application in portrait mode?

    - by Wolvorin
I have tried almost all the answers during last two days provided by Google and SO but no luck :( What I want is my whole application is in portrait mode only. And it working fine in ios 6+. The only support required at now. But the problem is I need to launch UIImagePickerViewController with image source type camera in only landscap mode. What I tried till now is : (1) I try to create one category for UIImagePickerController for orientation. -(BOOL)shouldAutorotate { return NO; } -(NSUInteger)supportedInterfaceOrientations { return UIInterfaceOrientationMaskLandscape; } - (UIInterfaceOrientation)preferredInterfaceOrientationForPresentation { return UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft; } Like this. But the camera view is not proper aligned. It just follows the orientation of device with some +/- 90 angle but not what I required. Even the button of the camera shown by camera view as camera control is also follows the camera view, ie. the view is rotated to 90 anti clock vise and stays to that way. Is there any way to use the camera with proper alignment? or have to use other framework to work with it? Please help me. I stuck with it for last two days.

  • Android: Find coordinates of a certain point X meters from my location moving towards the point I am

    - by Aidan
Hi Guys, I'm constructing a geolocation based application and I'm trying to figure out a way to make my application realise when a user is facing the direction of the given location (a particular long / lat co-ord). I've done some Googling and checked the SDK but can't really find anything for such a thing. Does anyone know of a way? Example. Point A = Phones current location. Point B = A's orientation in relation to true north + 45 + max distance towards the direction your facing, Point C = A's orientation in relation to true north - 45 + max distance towards the direction your facing. So now you have a triangle constructed. pretty schweet huh? yeah.. I think so.. So now that I have my fancy Triangle I use something called Barycentric Coordinates ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barycentric_coordinates_(mathematics) ). This will allow me to test another point and see if it is in the triangle. If it is, it means we're facing it AND it's within the right distance. So it should be displayed on screen. If I'm facing 90 degrees from true north. The distance it travels should be that direction. 90 degrees from true north. It should not be 100 degrees or something from true north! But the problem is I haven't yet figured out how I make the device realise it must go "out" the direction it is facing.

  • AndEngine: Black screen when using LayoutGameActivity

    - by Lemuel Hogben
I used to use SimpleBaseGameActivity for my app and everything was ok, but now I want to add some ads into the app, so I tried to use LayoutGameActivity. But I get the screen completely black and I don't know why. That's my code: public class AcGame extends LayoutGameActivity { [...] @Override protected int getLayoutID() { return R.layout.ad; } @Override protected int getRenderSurfaceViewID() { return R.id.layout_render; } @Override public EngineOptions onCreateEngineOptions() { [...] return new EngineOptions(true, ScreenOrientation.PORTRAIT_FIXED, resolution, camera); } @Override public void onCreateResources(OnCreateResourcesCallback pOnCreateResourcesCallback) throws Exception { createResources(); pOnCreateResourcesCallback.onCreateResourcesFinished(); } @Override public void onCreateScene(OnCreateSceneCallback pOnCreateSceneCallback) throws Exception { pOnCreateSceneCallback.onCreateSceneFinished(createScene()); } @Override public void onPopulateScene(Scene pScene, OnPopulateSceneCallback pOnPopulateSceneCallback) throws Exception { pOnPopulateSceneCallback.onPopulateSceneFinished(); } And that's my layout: <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="top" android:id="@+id/layout_ad" > </LinearLayout> <org.andengine.opengl.view.RenderSurfaceView android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="center" android:id="@+id/layout_render" /> </LinearLayout> When I'm trying to debug, I can see that EngineOptions are creating, but no one of the LayoutGameActivity's methods was called (onCreateResources, onCreateScene or onPopulateScene). Can someone tell me what I've missed?

  • Binding ComboBox Item with a text property of different DataContext

    - by Jhelumi786
Hi Everyone, I have a comboBox as below. What I want is to bind the selectedItem value to a Text property of a datacontext so that another DataTemplate can show the Image. Please note that the Combobox and Target Image elements are on two different DataTemplates so that's why I need to update the Text Property (ImageName) ofDataContext at backend. <ComboBox x:Name="cboOverlay" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" SelectedIndex="0" > <ComboBoxItem Name="BC_OL" IsSelected="True"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Width="100" VerticalAlignment="Center" TextAlignment="Center">Image1</TextBlock> </StackPanel> </ComboBoxItem> <ComboBoxItem Name="Indian_OL"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Width="100" VerticalAlignment="Center" TextAlignment="Center">Image2</TextBlock> </StackPanel> </ComboBoxItem> </ComboBox>

I have to write a layout for any set of screen??!!!

  • Binding a TextBox's Width to its parent container's ActualWidth

    - by Praetorian
Hi, I'm loading a Textbox and a Button into a horizontal StackPanel programmatically. The size of the button (which only contains an Image) is fixed, but I can't get the textbox to fill the available width of its parent. This is what the code looks like: StackPanel parent = new StackPanel() { Orientation = Orientation.Horizontal, HorizontalAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Stretch, VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top, }; TextBox textbox = new TextBox() { HorizontalAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Stretch, VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top, //MinWidth = 375, }; Button btn = new Button() { Content = new Image() { MaxHeight = 40, MaxWidth = 40, MinHeight = 40, MinWidth = 40, Margin = new Thickness( 0 ), Source = new BitmapImage( new Uri( "btnimage.png", UriKind.Relative ) ), }, HorizontalAlignment = HorizontalAlignment.Right, BorderBrush = new SolidColorBrush( Colors.Transparent ), Margin = new Thickness( 0 ), }; btn.Click += ( ( s, e ) => OnBtnClicked( s, e, textbox ) ); parent.Children.Add( textbox ); parent.Children.Add( btn ); If I uncomment the MinWidth setting for the textbox it is displayed as I want it to, but I'd like to not have to specify a width explicitly. I tried adding a binding as follows but that doesn't work at all (the textbox just disappears!) Binding widthBinding = new Binding() { Source = parent.ActualWidth, }; passwdBox.SetBinding( TextBox.WidthProperty, widthBinding ); Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Problem setting dynamic UITableViewCell height

    - by HiveHicks
I've got a UITableView with two dynamic rows. Each of the rows is a subclass of UITableViewCell and is loaded from nib. As my rows contain dynamic content, I use layoutSubviews to reposition all subviews: - (void)layoutSubviews { [super layoutSubviews]; CGFloat initialHeight = titleLabel.bounds.size.height; CGSize constraintSize = CGSizeMake(titleLabel.bounds.size.width, MAXFLOAT); CGSize size = [titleLabel.text sizeWithFont:titleLabel.font constrainedToSize:constraintSize]; CGFloat delta = size.height - initialHeight; CGRect titleFrame = titleLabel.frame; titleFrame.size.height += delta; titleLabel.frame = titleFrame; locationLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(locationLabel.frame, 0, delta); dayLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(dayLabel.frame, 0, delta); timeLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(timeLabel.frame, 0, delta); } The problem is that I can't find a way to determine the height in table view delegate's tableView:heightForRowAtIndexPath: method. The trick is that I load cell from nib, so just after it's loaded titleLabel.bounds.size.width is 300 px (as in nib), not taking into account type of the device (iPhone/iPad) and current orientation, so it seems impossible to calculate the height without conditional checks for orientation and device type. Any ideas?

  • Windows 7 Picture Printing. All pictures are landscape, when they should be Portrait

    - by JamesM
I have recently upgraded from XP to 7 and I am having trouble printing out some pictures. In XP, if I were to select some pictures for printing the program would keep their orientation, and print them no problem. Now with Windows 7, even if I select 1 picture to print in the same (wallet size (35)) it rotates the picture. Is there anyway to rectify this within Windows? I did take a screenshot, but as a new user I can't post it.

  • Bound Command not firing on another viewModel? What Am I doing wrong?

    - by devnet247
Hi I cannot seem to bind a command to a button.I have a treeview on the left showing Country City etc.. And I tabcontrol on the right. do I This uses 4 viewModels rootviewModel-ContinentViewModel-CountryViewModel-CityViewModel What I am building is based on http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/TreeViewWithViewModel.aspx Now on one of the tabs I have a Toolbar with a button "TestButton" that I have mapped in zaml. This does not fire! The reason is not firing is because I m binding the RootViewModel but the command that is bound in zaml is in the cityViewModel. How Do I pass the datacontext from one view to the other? or how do I make the button fire. I need the command to be in the cityViewModel. Any Suggestions on how I bind it? View "WorldExplorerView" where I bind the main DataContext public partial class WorldExplorerView { public WorldExplorerView() { InitializeComponent(); var continents = Database.GetContinents(); var rootViewModel = new RootViewModel(continents); DataContext = rootViewModel; } } CityViewModel public class CityViewModel : TreeViewItemViewModel { private City _city; private RelayCommand _testCommand; public CityViewModel(City city, CountryViewModel countryViewModel):base(countryViewModel, false) { _city = city; } Properties etc...... public ICommand TestCommand { get { if(_testCommand==null) { _testCommand = new RelayCommand(param => GetTestCommand(), param => CanCallTestCommand); ; } return _testCommand; } } protected bool CanCallTestCommand { get { return true; } } private static void GetTestCommand() { MessageBox.Show("It works"); } } ZAML <DockPanel> <DockPanel LastChildFill="True"> <StatusBar DockPanel.Dock="Bottom"> <StatusBarItem Content="Status Bar" ></StatusBarItem> </StatusBar> <Grid DockPanel.Dock="Top"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="2*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TreeView Name="tree" ItemsSource="{Binding Continents}"> <TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> </TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> <TreeView.Resources> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:ContinentViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding ContinentName}"/> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:CountryViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding CountryName}"/> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:CityViewModel}" > <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding CityName}"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </TreeView.Resources> </TreeView> <GridSplitter Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Background="LightGray" Width="5" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"/> <Grid Grid.Column="2" Margin="5" > <TabControl> <TabItem Header="Demo"> <DockPanel LastChildFill="True"> <ToolBar DockPanel.Dock="Top"> </ToolBar> <TextBox></TextBox> </DockPanel> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="Details" DataContext="{Binding Path=SelectedItem.City, ElementName=tree, Mode=OneWay}"> <StackPanel > <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding CityName}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding Area}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding Population}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding CityDetailsInfo.ClubsCount}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding CityDetailsInfo.PubsCount}"/> </StackPanel> </TabItem> </TabControl> </Grid> </Grid> </DockPanel> </DockPanel>

  • Why my button can trigger the UI to scroll and my TimerTask inside the activity can't?

    - by Spidey
    Long Story Short: a method of my activity updates and scrolls the ListView through an ArrayAdapter like it should, but a method of an internal TimerTask for polling messages (which are displayed in the ListView) updates the ListView, but don't scroll it. Why? Long Story: I have a chat activity with this layout:  <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:background="#fff" > <ListView android:id="@+id/messageList" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:stackFromBottom="true" android:transcriptMode="alwaysScroll" android:layout_weight="1" android:fadeScrollbars="true" /> <LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center" > <EditText android:id="@+id/message" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1" />  </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> The internal listView (with id messageList) is populated by an ArrayAdapter which inflates the XML below and replaces strings in it.  <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:clickable="false" android:background="#fff" android:paddingLeft="2dp" android:paddingRight="2dp" > <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/date" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="16sp" android:textColor="#00F" android:typeface="monospace" android:text="2010-10-12 12:12:03" android:gravity="left" /> <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/sender" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="16sp" android:textColor="#f84" android:text="spidey" android:gravity="right" android:textStyle="bold" /> <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/body" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="14sp" android:padding="1dp" android:gravity="left" android:layout_below="@id/date" android:text="Mensagem muito legal 123 quatro cinco seis." android:textColor="#000" /> </RelativeLayout> The problem is: in the main layout, I have a EditText for the chat message, and a Button to send the message. I have declared the adapter in the activity scope: public class ChatManager extends Activity{ private EditText et; private ListView lv; private Timestamp lastDate = null; private long campaignId; private ChatAdapter ca; private List<ChatMessage> vetMsg = new ArrayList<ChatMessage>(); private Timer chatPollingTimer; private static final int CHAT_POLLING_PERIOD = 10000; ... } So, inside sendMessage(View v), the notifyDataSetChanged() scrolls the ListView acordingly, so I can see the latest chat messages automatically: public void sendMessage(View v) { String msg = et.getText().toString(); if(msg.length() == 0){ return; } et.setText(""); String xml = ServerCom.sendAndGetChatMessages(campaignId, lastDate, msg); Vector<ChatMessage> vetNew = Chat.parse(new InputSource(new StringReader(xml))); //Pegando a última data if(!vetNew.isEmpty()){ lastDate = vetNew.lastElement().getDateSent(); //Atualizando a tela vetMsg.addAll(vetNew); ca.notifyDataSetChanged(); } } But inside my TimerTask, I can't. The ListView IS UPDATED, but it just don't scroll automatically. What am I doing wrong? private class chatPollingTask extends TimerTask { @Override public void run() { String xml; if(lastDate != null){ //Chama o Updater xml = ServerCom.getChatMessages(campaignId, lastDate); }else{ //Chama o init denovo xml = ServerCom.getChatMessages(campaignId); } Vector<ChatMessage> vetNew = Chat.parse(new InputSource(new StringReader(xml))); if(!(vetNew.isEmpty())){ //TODO: descobrir porque o chat não está rolando quando chegam novas mensagens //Descobrir também como forçar o rolamento, enquanto o bug não for corrigido. Log.d("CHAT", "New message(s) acquired!"); lastDate = vetNew.lastElement().getDateSent(); vetMsg.addAll(vetNew); ca.notifyDataSetChanged(); } } } How can I force the scroll to the bottom? I've tried using scrollTo using lv.getBottom()-lv.getHeight(), but didn't work. Is this a bug in the Android SDK? Sorry for the MASSIVE amount of code, but I guess this way the question gets pretty clear.

  • treeview binding wpf cannot bind nested property in a class

    - by devnet247
Hi all New to wpf and therefore struggling a bit. I am putting together a quick demo before we go for the full implementation I have a treeview on the left with Continent Country City structure when a user select the city it should populate some textboxes in a tabcontrol on the right hand side I made it sort of work but cannot make it work with composite objects. In a nutshell can you spot what is wrong with my zaml or code. Why is not binding to a my CityDetails.ClubsCount or CityDetails.PubsCount? What I am building is based on http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/TreeViewWithViewModel.aspx Thanks a lot for any suggestions or reply DataModel public class City { public City(string cityName) { CityName = cityName; } public string CityName { get; set; } public string Population { get; set; } public string Area { get; set; } public CityDetails CityDetailsInfo { get; set; } } public class CityDetails { public CityDetails(int pubsCount, int clubsCount) { PubsCount = pubsCount; ClubsCount = clubsCount; } public int ClubsCount { get; set; } public int PubsCount { get; set; } } ViewModel public class CityViewModel : TreeViewItemViewModel { private City _city; private RelayCommand _testCommand; public CityViewModel(City city, CountryViewModel countryViewModel):base(countryViewModel, false) { _city = city; } public string CityName { get { return _city.CityName; } } public string Area { get { return _city.Area; } } public string Population { get { return _city.Population; } } public City City { get { return _city; } set { _city = value; } } public CityDetails CityDetailsInfo { get { return _city.CityDetailsInfo; } set { _city.CityDetailsInfo = value; } } } XAML <DockPanel> <DockPanel LastChildFill="True"> <StatusBar DockPanel.Dock="Bottom"> <StatusBarItem Content="Status Bar" ></StatusBarItem> </StatusBar> <Grid DockPanel.Dock="Top"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="2*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TreeView Name="tree" ItemsSource="{Binding Continents}"> <TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> </TreeView.ItemContainerStyle> <TreeView.Resources> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:ContinentViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding ContinentName}"/> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:CountryViewModel}" ItemsSource="{Binding Children}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding CountryName}"/> </StackPanel> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type ViewModels:CityViewModel}" > <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<TextBlock Text="{Binding CityName}"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </TreeView.Resources> </TreeView> <GridSplitter Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Background="LightGray" Width="5" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"/> <Grid Grid.Column="2" Margin="5" > <TabControl> <TabItem Header="Details" DataContext="{Binding Path=SelectedItem.City, ElementName=tree, Mode=OneWay}"> <StackPanel > <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding CityName}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding Area}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding Population}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding SelectedItem.CityDetailsInfo.ClubsCount}"/> <TextBlock VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="12" Text="{Binding SelectedItem.CityDetailsInfo.PubsCount}"/> </StackPanel> </TabItem> </TabControl> </Grid> </Grid> </DockPanel> </DockPanel>

  • Listview selects mutliple items when clicked

    - by xlph
    I'm trying to make a task manager, and I only have one problem. I have a listview that gets inflated. All the elements in the listview are correct. The problem is that when I select an item, the listview will select another item away. I've heard listviews repopulate the list as it scrolls down to save memory. I think this may be some sort of problem. Here is a picture of the problem. If i had more apps loaded, then it would continue to select multiple at once. Here is the code of my adapter and activity and XML associated public class TaskAdapter extends BaseAdapter{ private Context mContext; private List<TaskInfo> mListAppInfo; private PackageManager mPack; public TaskAdapter(Context c, List<TaskInfo> list, PackageManager pack) { mContext = c; mListAppInfo = list; mPack = pack; } @Override public int getCount() { return mListAppInfo.size(); } @Override public Object getItem(int position) { return mListAppInfo.get(position); } @Override public long getItemId(int position) { return position; } @Override public View getView(final int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { TaskInfo entry = mListAppInfo.get(position); if (convertView == null) { LayoutInflater inflater = LayoutInflater.from(mContext); //System.out.println("Setting LayoutInflater in TaskAdapter " +mContext +" " +R.layout.taskinfo +" " +R.id.tmbox); convertView = inflater.inflate(R.layout.taskinfo,null); } ImageView ivIcon = (ImageView)convertView.findViewById(R.id.tmImage); ivIcon.setImageDrawable(entry.getIcon()); TextView tvName = (TextView)convertView.findViewById(R.id.tmbox); tvName.setText(entry.getName()); convertView.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { final CheckBox checkBox = (CheckBox)v.findViewById(R.id.tmbox); if(v.isSelected()) { System.out.println("Listview not selected "); //CK.get(arg2).setChecked(false); checkBox.setChecked(false); v.setSelected(false); } else { System.out.println("Listview selected "); //CK.get(arg2).setChecked(true); checkBox.setChecked(true); v.setSelected(true); } } }); return convertView; public class TaskManager extends Activity implements Runnable { private ProgressDialog pd; private TextView ram; private String s; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.taskpage); setTitleColor(Color.YELLOW); Thread thread = new Thread(this); thread.start(); } @Override public void run() { //System.out.println("In Taskmanager Run() Thread"); final PackageManager pm = getPackageManager(); final ListView box = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.cBoxSpace); final List<TaskInfo> CK = populate(box, pm); runOnUiThread(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { ram.setText(s); box.setAdapter(new TaskAdapter(TaskManager.this, CK, pm)); //System.out.println("In Taskmanager runnable Run()"); endChecked(CK); } }); handler.sendEmptyMessage(0); } Taskinfo.xml <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal" android:gravity="center_horizontal"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/tmImage" android:layout_width="48dp" android:layout_height="48dp" android:scaleType="centerCrop" android:adjustViewBounds="false" android:focusable="false" /> <CheckBox android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:id="@+id/tmbox" android:lines="2"/> </LinearLayout> Taskpage.xml  <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical"> <ListView android:id="@+id/cBoxSpace" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="400dp" android:orientation="vertical"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/RAM" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="18sp" />  </LinearLayout> Any ideas for what reason mutliple items are selected with a single click would be GREATLY appreciated. I've been messing around with different implementations and listeners and listadapters but to no avail.

  • Android Actionbar Tabs + Fragments + Service

    - by Vladimir
So, I have 3 problems with my code: 1) I want that each tab saves its state. So that a TextView shows changed text if it was changed. 2) if I go to Tab2 then to Tab1 I can't see the content of the fragments. Only if I touch on the already selected tab, it shows me the content 3) I can't correctly connect/bind and unbind service to Fragment Text must be changed from Service. Please help, I don't know how I realize my intent. • ComboBox Control using silverlight

    - by Aamir Hasan
DropDown.zip (135.33 kb) LiveDemo Introduction In this article i am going to explore some of the features of the ComboBox.ComboBox makes the collection visible and allows users to pick an item from the collection. After its first initialization, no matter if you bind a new datasource with fewer or more elements, the dropdown persists its original height. One workaround is the following:1. store the Properties from the original ComboBox2. delete the ComboBox removing it from its container3. create a new ComboBox and place it in the container4. recover the stores Properties5. bind the new DataSource to the newly created combobox Creating Silverlight ProjectCreate a new Silverlight 3 Project in VS 2008. Name it as ComboBoxtSample. Simple Data BindingAdd System.Windows.Control.Data reference to the Silverlight project. Silverlight UserControl Add a new page to display Bus data using DataGrid. Following shows Bus column XAML snippet:The ComboBox element represents a ComboBox control in XAML. <ComboBox></ComboBox>ComboBox XAML <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <ComboBox Width="120" Height="30" x:Name="DaysDropDownList" DisplayMemberPath="Name"> </ComboBox> </StackPanel> The following code below is an example implementation Combobox control support data binding 1 By setting the DisplayMemberPath property you can specify which data item in your data you want displayed in the ComboBox. 2 Setting the SelectedIndex allows you to specify which item in the ComboBox you want selected. Business Object public class Bus { public string Name { get; set; } public float Price { get; set; } } Data Binding private List populatedlistBus() { listBus = new List(); listBus.Add(new Bus() {Name = "Bus 1", Price = 55f }); listBus.Add(new Bus() { Name = "Bus 2", Price = 55.7f }); listBus.Add(new Bus() { Name = "Bus 3", Price = 2f }); listBus.Add(new Bus() { Name = "Bus 4", Price = 6f }); listBus.Add(new Bus() { Name = "Bus 5", Price = 9F }); listBus.Add(new Bus() { Name = "Bus 6", Price = 10.1f }); return listBus; } The following line of code sets the ItemsSource property of a ComboBox. • Grandparent – Parent – Child Reports in SQL Developer

    - by thatjeffsmith
You’ll never see one of these family stickers on my car, but I promise not to judge…much. Parent – Child reports are pretty straightforward in Oracle SQL Developer. You have a ‘parent’ report, and then one or more ‘child’ reports which are based off of a value in a selected row or value from the parent. If you need a quick tutorial to get up to speed on the subject, go ahead and take 5 minutes Shortly before I left for vacation 2 weeks agao, I got an interesting question from one of my Twitter Followers: @thatjeffsmith any luck with the #Oracle awr reports in #SQLDeveloper? This is easy with multi generation parent>child Done in #dbvisualizer — Ronald Rood (@Ik_zelf) August 26, 2012 Now that I’m back from vacation, I can tell Ronald and everyone else that the answer is ‘Yes!’ And here’s how Time to Get Out Your XML Editor Don’t have one? That’s OK, SQL Developer can edit XML files. While the Reporting interface doesn’t surface the ability to create multi-generational reports, the underlying code definitely supports it. We just need to hack away at the XML that powers a report. For this example I’m going to start simple. A query that brings back DEPARTMENTs, then EMPLOYEES, then JOBs. We can build the first two parts of the report using the report editor. A Parent-Child report in Oracle SQL Developer (Departments – Employees) Save the Report to XML Once you’ve generated the XML file, open it with your favorite XML editor. For this example I’ll be using the build-it XML editor in SQL Developer. SQL Developer Reports in their raw XML glory! Right after the PDF element in the XML document, we can start a new ‘child’ report by inserting a DISPLAY element. I just copied and pasted the existing ‘display’ down so I wouldn’t have to worry about screwing anything up. Note I also needed to change the ‘master’ name so it wouldn’t confuse SQL Developer when I try to import/open a report that has the same name. Also I needed to update the binds tags to reflect the names from the child versus the original parent report. This is pretty easy to figure out on your own actually – I mean I’m no real developer and I got it pretty quick. <displays> <display report name in the tree. You just need to double-click it to open it. Here’s what it looks like running A 3 generation family Now Let’s Build an AWR Text Report Ronald wanted to have the ability to query AWR snapshots and generate the AWR reports. That requires a few inputs, including a START and STOP snapshot ID. That basically tells AWR what time period to use for generating the report. And here’s where it gets tricky. We’ll need to use aliases for the SNAP_ID column. Since we’re using the same column name from 2 different queries, we need to use different bind variables. Fortunately for us, SQL Developer’s clever enough to use the column alias as the BIND. Here’s what I mean: Grandparent Query SELECT snap_id start1, begin_interval_time, end_interval_time FROM dba_hist_snapshot ORDER BY 1 asc Parent Query SELECT snap_id stop1, begin_interval_time, end_interval_time, :START1 carry FROM dba_hist_snapshot WHERE snap_id > :START1 ORDER BY 1 asc And here’s where it gets even trickier – you can’t reference a bind from outside the parent query. My grandchild report can’t reference a value from the grandparent report. So I just carry the selected value down to the parent. In my parent query SELECT you see the ‘:START1′ at the end? That’s making that value available to me when I use it in my grandchild query. To complicate things a bit further, I can’t have a column name with a ‘:’ in it, or SQL Developer will get confused when I try to reference the value of the variable with the ‘:’ – and ‘::Name’ doesn’t work. But that’s OK, just alias it. Grandchild Query Select Output From Table(Dbms_Workload_Repository.Awr_Report_Text(1298953802, 1,:CARRY, :STOP1)); Ok, and the last trick – I hard-coded my report to use my database’s DB_ID and INST_ID into the AWR package call. Now a smart person could figure out a way to make that work on any database, but I got lazy and and ran out of time. But this should be far enough for you to take it from here. Here’s what my report looks like now: Caution: don’t run this if you haven’t licensed Enterprise Edition with Diagnostic Pack. The Raw XML for this AWR Report <displays> <display id="927ba96c-0139-1000-8001-7f0000015340" type="" style="Table" enable="true">
AWR Start Stop Report Final

<tooltip></tooltip> <drillclass>null</drillclass> <CustomValues> <TYPE>horizontal</TYPE> </CustomValues> <query> <sql>SELECT snap_id start1, begin_interval_time, end_interval_time FROM dba_hist_snapshot ORDER BY 1 asc</sql> </query> <display id="null" type="" style="Table" enable="true">
Stop SNAP_ID

<tooltip></tooltip> <drillclass>null</drillclass> <CustomValues> <TYPE>horizontal</TYPE> </CustomValues> <query> <sql>SELECT snap_id stop1, begin_interval_time, end_interval_time, :START1 carry FROM dba_hist_snapshot WHERE snap_id > :START1 ORDER BY 1 asc</sql> </query> <display id="null" type="" style="Table" enable="true">
AWR Report

<tooltip></tooltip> <drillclass>null</drillclass> <CustomValues> <TYPE>horizontal</TYPE> </CustomValues> <query> <sql>Select Output From Table(Dbms_Workload_Repository.Awr_Report_Text(1298953802, 1,:CARRY, :STOP1 ))</sql> </query> </display> </display> </display> </displays> Should We Build Support for Multiple Levels of Reports into the User Interface? • Oracle’s Web Experience Management

    - by Christie Flanagan
Today’s guest post on Oracle’s Web Experience Management comes from a member of our WebCenter Evangelist team, Noël Jaffré, a Principal Technologist based in France.Oracle’s Web Experience Management (WEM) solution enables organizations to optimize the online channel for driving marketing and customer experience management success. It empowers business users to manage the web presence and create rich and engaging online experiences for customers and prospects. Oracle's WEM platform provides a framework to simplify the integration of Oracle, third-party and custom-built applications. This framework essentially allows the creation and integration of applications using one single business interface called the WEM interface. It includes the following: Single sign-on access control for all integrated applications using the Central Authentication Service (CAS) component. A single centralized administration window for user, role, and native applications management including site management. Community server management, gadget server management as well as management for partner integrated technologies. A Representational State Transfer (REST) API for accessing WebCenter Sites data. REST services are supported on both Oracle WebCenter Sites and Oracle WebCenter Sites Satellite Server to leverage the satellite server cache. All REST requests are cached for web consuming applications as well for the high performance delivery of native applications on the mobile channel. Oracle WebCenter Sites’ Web Experience Management environment enables organizations to deliver a compelling online experience to customers by simplifying the deployment and management of sophisticated and engaging websites. The WebCenter Sites platform automates the entire process of managing web content including: Authoring: Business users can easily contribute and manage web content in real-time, with intuitive interfaces and drag-and-drop content authoring and layout capabilities designed for the non-technical user. Contextual Content Targeting: Marketers are empowered to create and manage targeted campaigns with relevant recommendations and promotions based on the context of the session of the visitor such as his or her navigation history, user profile, language, location or other information shared during the visitor session. Content Publishing and Deployment: It offers advanced multi-site management capabilities for departmental or regional sites, as well as strong multi-lingual and multi-locale content management. The remote satellite server caching infrastructure provides high-performance, distributed caching, tuned to deliver high-volume, targeted and multi-lingual sites. Analytics and Optimization: Business users and marketers have the ability to measure the effectiveness of their online content and campaigns at a granular level. Editors and marketers can immediately determine whether a given article or promotion is relevant to a particular customer segment. User-generated Content: Marketers can enable blogs, comments, rating and reviews on the website. All comments and reviews posted to the website can be moderated from the administrator interface either manually or automatically using filters, whitelists, blacklists or community based moderation. Personalized Gadget Dashboards: Site managers can deploy gadgets, small applications using web content, individually or as part of dashboards containing multiple gadgets. These gadget dashboards enable site visitors to create their own “MyPage” on a given site where they can select and customize the gadgets that the site administrator has made available. Any gadget that conforms to the iGoogle/OpenSocial standard can be made available to site visitors, or they can be created within the WEM interface. Oracle's WEM platform also provides a unique environment for the delivery of a rich, multichannel online experience for site visitors through its advanced management modules for mobile. With Oracle’s WEM solution, it’s easy to control branding and deliver a consistent message while repurposing web content for publication to mobile devices, kiosks and much more. This distinctive approach provides: HTML5 Delivery: HTML5 delivery which includes native support for adaptive design that responds to the user’s computer screen resolution and orientation. The approach is less driven by the particular hardware and more driven by the user’s interactions with the device. In other words, this approach takes both the screen interactions (either cursor or touch) and screen sizes and orientation into consideration. A Unique Native Mobile Extension Environment for Contributors: From the WEM interface, a contributor can directly manage their mobile channel, using the tooling already in place for driving the traditional web presence. This includes the mobile presentation, as well as mobile insite editing, drag and drop page layout, and in-context recommendations and personalization. Optimized REST APIs for High Performance Content Delivery on Native Mobile Device Applications: WebCenter Sites’ REST API uses the underlying HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) to interact with resources. Resources support two types of input and output formats -- XML and JSON. REST calls are customizable to optimize the interactions between the content repositories and the client applications. Caching is essential to decrease network loads and improve overall reliability and usability of the applications and user interactions. REST results are cached through the highly efficient Oracle WebCenter Sites caching architecture.

  • DirectX9 dynamic rendering

    - by gardian06
What I am planning to do is have the models (or maybe just an identifier for the model to be used) stored outside of the directX9 framework, and so in nature have completely dynamic rendering. All of the information that I have found contains static rendering (rendering models that are stored in memory at specific positions) I would like information on how to take a model (or identifier for a model type) that is stored outside of the framework, and render it to the screen. I am expected to take a container that holds all the relevant data to be rendered. The information outside would hold the position, orientation (quaternion, though I am told that I can also get a rotation matrix if I prefer), and dimensions (scale)
